Everyone thinks of love during this soundtrack. I saw this after my friend recently committed suicide. Life changes. This was a great example of that. Im losing friends, im growing up, people are moving on. Sometimes you just have to look back and smile at it all. Because otherwise, you'll just cry.

I first saw this movie when I was in high school. I remember being really upset at the ending, and thinking that no, I can't accept this way of thinking. If you really love something, you should run after it and cling to it always, no matter what. At least that's what I wanted to think. I can't say I've fully come to terms with it now, but I think I understand it a little better. I wonder what my past self would think of me now. I wonder if I'd hate myself.
Can't believe this was posted in 2008. I just watched this movie this year. This video lived through my entire high school and college years with all my relationships, good and bad. And here I am listening to this now. And now I am looking back at all that had happened... I feel like Takaki looking back at all that happened between him and Akira, and looking for Akira everywhere he goes... at the intersection and even in his dreams... on Sakura street, in the newspapers. Back in 2011, I fell in love with this girl. She was challenging and I tried my best to get her attention. After I confessed we became couple for a month. Yes, month, because I had to leave to United States, oh I wish I could stay there forever...Couple of hours before my flight, we were sitting on the bench and talking. Time seemed to be endless, at least that's what I hoped. But I came back to reality after she kissed me and told me that everything from now on will be alright. After that she immediately left, without saying anything, yet I understood that those tears on her cheeks told me good bye. I swallowed my emotions to survive. One day after my arrival to America, I discovered 5 Centimeters Per Second. How Ironic! When the anime was over I sat down on the couch, covered my face, and cried. How ironic! Someone made a story about my life, - I thought to myself. Will I be able to forget her? Will I be able to move on? I don't want to end up like Tohno! In the end we all know that our destiny depends totally on us, and we are the ones who make it certain way. But that time was out of my power. I couldn't do anything. I started questioning my power over destiny.
The whole time I was watching it I felt like Shinkai must've had detectives spying on me or something... that's how much it echoed my life. After thinking about it though I'm sure it hit close to home to many, and that's what makes it so cherished by so many. I'm not sure another film has touched me quite the way this one did. It was like a gut shot of nostalgia.
It's been a long time since I posted this. Well, I was able to move on and got a really nice girlfriend. It all depends on us. I'm glad I realized it :)
Thanks for sharing that, Daniel. I'll bet a lot of people thought Shinkai was stalking them or something, and made this just for them. What I find a travesty bigger than this story itself is that you can't find this wonderful film anymore for a decent price. Seems they stopped printing it. So the few copies left are like $150 on Amazon, and the original "ADV" version is literally priceless as you simply cannot find it. If they're going to print more (and they should), it should be the ADV version. That's the Eng. dub you want remembered and immortalized.
No problem lol and yeah. This movie is masterpiece; one of a kind. They definitely should make more copies, but I'm guessing they wouldn't because of low popularity level (unfortunately) so yeah. But at least this movie has a small, but stable fan-base that will be supporting it forever. lol im part of it xD
This animation is incredible not only by the art but also because it makes everyone realise what they want. In the end you don't want things, cares, money, you just want a deep romance like when the first. An easy soft dream
Everyone seems to relate to all the situation that happens in the movie series. I met someone in middle school, whom i connected with that really changed the road of my life. But as much i want to relive those days now, its just another chapter in my life that I have to see the great things about. 5 cm per second is how fast a petal from the tree, each moment it falls, its beautiful, but with every beautiful thing in life, there's an end thus when the petal reaches the ground, another petal falls again. So if with someone right now, that you love very much, cherish every moment of it, love every minute of it, grasp all the happiness you can take from it, because you never know when the chapter ends from there. Ronald Bersamin hey, I'm Dante, and my story is kinda the same to 5 centimeters per second if you guys want this to kinda hit your heart and feel emotions of my life i recommend you reading this with the soundtrack of "Snow's Station". I have a friend, shes a girl, and i know her for a long time, i knew her in 3rd grade, and she was a really close friend of mine, she was unique than others, she NEVER said a bad word in her life, i don't say bad words when i talk, but only when i type, and her not saying bad words made her really pretty for her kindness and educated person she was, i remember kids in elementary school always though that she and me were something, but i ignored that, i've always been playing with her, and go to parks with her and run around, we would even eat together because both our families dint have enough money for food, so sometimes we starved, i remember she had to move to Colorado, Denver, and i was In Albuquerque, she gave me a big hug and i gave her a big hug, and i felt her crying on my shoulder, i cried a little bit 2, and so i see her getting inside the train, and leaves to Denver, we were in 6th grade when she leaved, and there i go wondering around walking through the city with some tears, 5 months later i receive mail, and i get her letter, she says shes doing good, but when i was readying the letter, it made me think that she was kinda lonely, me and her where never good at making friends, 2 years later, i board the train, and go to Santa Fe, upcorse i sended her a letter telling her i will go to Denver, and there i go into the train, it took lots of hours to get to Denver, but when i get there, almost everyone left, it looked so solitary, when i enter the station, i see her sleeping in the seat, she waited about 3 hours for me, i go to her and call her, she wakes up, i get in my knees and put my hands on her lap, she starts crying, and i start crying, i think it was like 11 pm or something like that, she made me a burrito and i eat, she made the burrito good, i say thanks to her, she smiles, she brought donuts (6 donuts) and i eat 2, she eats 2 donuts, she safes 2 donuts and there we go walking to her house about 11 miles away, about 2 hours in the cold day, she starts getting cold, i feel bad so i give her my jacket so she can wear it (i dint care if i got cold, i wanted her to be warm and safe) and so about when we walked 6 miles (that's how much i thought we walked) we go under a tree and sleep there, i put my jacket around her so no air will go in, and then i just lay down in the tree all cold, she puts her head laying on me, while we both are laying in the tree, we just go to sleep, well she did, but i dint, it was 2 cold for me, i would like go to sleep and shake, and just wake up every 10 minutes (of what it seems like), in the morning, she wakes up and wakes me up, she gives me a donut and she eats 1, i eat the donut, and there we go again, walking to her house, she was happy of seeing me, and i was happy 2 but still sad for some reason, we both look at each other during we walk, i dint wanted to make this awkward, so i start saying what a beautiful morning and stuff (about 8 am from how the sun sets, what i though) there we go, we arrive in her house, she serves me some soup to eat, i felt embarrass for her serving me food from such a long time we don't see each other, she sits down with me and eat, she graves my hand while i was eating and she just talks to me about how was life and stuff when i was eating, i like how her jacket felt really warm, when im done, we go outside and sit down in the cold day, looking at the sun on top of the hill (it was winter, i dint wanted to say it was winter because in the anime its winter 2, so i dint wanted to make you guys think I'm copying the anime movie :/ ) looking at her look at the sunlight, its like a gift of God, the air swinging by, the grass dancing, the sun touching us, her hair floating, the birds chirping, the air singing, the sky passing by and saying hello, looking at her look at the sun makes me feel she is sad and happy at the same time, and that she might be thinking of problems while looking at the sun, her full water eyes make the sun make a reflection on her eye, a little while later, we go walking around together while talking about ourselves (not like boyfriend and girlfriend stuff) days have past and every day we will go outside for a long walk (i sleep in her house) for a day and lay down in the hill for a bit in the morning, we will go buy food together and sit outside the store, how we look each other straight in the eyes when we talk, just makes both of us look like we are thinking the same thing and we are passing through the same pain, how we smile together, and how walk together, so beautiful, her smile is so beautiful, makes me sad because i know im gonna leave again back to my home. to be continued... for reals guys :/ thanks for readying, i appreciate it!

When I came back from Montreal she told me she wanted to talk to me in recess. I was to ashamed to show my face towards her so I put my hood on. I noticed that girls were having some group meeting around me. She asked why do you like about a girl. I couldn't answer because I didn't want to say the wrong answer. Do you just like the Girl because shes pretty do you even care about the personality. That was something that I learned that day. Did I truly care about the person I'm with. Did I truly care about the person her self. All that time I didn't notice herself who she truly was. I tightened my fist why, why couldn't I understand that. I finally understood why. She taught me something that day that I never noticed at all. The bell rang. I stood their thinking about what I should've done. I was walking back to the school building and before going in I hugged her. I was sorry for not understanding I was sorry for hurting her all this time. Till that day I kept the words she told me. CHAPTER 2 It was February a week before valentines day. I dated again and it was the the girl who I first dated. We hung out texted each other and had a normal relationship. Valentines day came we both texted each other and decide to have a kiss in valentines day. That was what I was thinking about that day. Btw we were way to young for that but idk what I was thinking that day lol. Our class planed on going to skating in valentines day. I skated with her it was fun especially the falls that happened on the ice lol. We had a class photo and put my arms around her. I was really happy that day spending time with her bit then something different happened that day. Me and her were taking in the end of the school day. She told me to text her I was going for a kiss but I just stopped and went with what she was saying. I went home eat dinner and went upstairs to my room to get my phone. I see my notifications in my messages. It wasn't what expected but it was hateful words. She mentioned the word cheater than made a long text message saying cheater dog. That day was valentines day and what I got that day was hate and sadness. It was stupid coming up with this type of conversation. I did nothing wrong. I was a good partner towards her but still she did that unexpectedly. I was sad that time not knowing what I did. She said I cheated on her. I tried to explain I that I didn't do anything but she kept ignoring me. I asked her how does she know. She told me from her friends. She said I was secretly dating someone. She was all normal to me at school but right after she acted like some angry beast that tried to kill you. I don't actually mean that but I'll just go with it. It was also random. The relationship ended with me knowing that it's the other way around. She cheated on me. At the end of the day before she told me to text her he was sitting and talking with a guy from the other class. His friends that were also my friends were pushing him to her like they were helping him for a date proposal. Than the next day she texted me and said she's gonna date the guy I was talking about. She said she was sorry after I just texted it's okay but it wasn't really okay. I went with it I didn't care at all after that. CHAPTER 3 Later on I dated her again than another than after we stopped. She kept asking me out and also kept breaking up with me pretty weird but whatever. Our last relationship ended and but the difference was I did the breakup. I knew she was gonna breakup with me again. I knew she liked this other guy because it was obvious they shared seats acted like a couple and worked together. I just ended it , it wasn't called being jealous it was called doing the right thing. If I didn't care about her I would let her date as much guys and cheat on me as much as I let her but the thing is did care for her. It was because I truly loved her so if it meant breaking up I did the right thing because I cared. I let her be happy with the person she likes. So I left it with my final relationship. CHAPTER 4 (even tho this is short👍👊😅 Lel) Look this story just explains the stuff that happened through grade 6 making the fact that this story is a drama it's self so I guess chapter 4 is to ruin the dramatic moment and go with the story. Jk read it this as you want to read it Lel. So yep😜 CHAPTER 4 ( actual version) Grade 7 came like a wrecking ball lol. Summer was short and school has started. I decided to stop dating and do my studies and stuff. Our class was weird to tell the true lol even I was lol. We, who were small and sickly at the time, preferred the library over the playground. And because of this, we were teased by our classmates. But when we were together, we didn't seem to affected by those things... T-T It brings it all back!
This movie is a textbook example of how to set up characters and relationships successfully. And in only an hour...it really achieves more than most movies series do in five hours or more.
What amazing from this movie is that you don't need to have girlfriend to experience it. Somehow our loneliness itself, and our longing for something we don't even know are already reflected in the movie. And most probably our childhood's dream that we abandon after becoming adult.
It's a classic but both of the two you mentioned above are modern made for teens according to their choice if they releas 5 Centimetres Per Second it will flop in audience.

I will always find myself coming back to this song and reminisce about my first love and childhood. I guess adulthood entails a lot of reminiscing and the feeling of wanting to turn back time to when life was simpler.
What hurts for me too is I am around the same age as the characters going by the years it takes place in. Relationships that never happens... Story of my life too. Such a painful story.

I watched this film over 30 times when I was around 20. I remember every scene, every dialogue, every transition, every moment when the OST begins. It struck me deeply in the heart almost every minute, making me burst into tears or struggle to breathe. But over 15 years later, I watched it again and felt it was plain and no longer resonated with me. On the bright side, I still have my "Akari" by my side. We went through our toughest times around 20 years old, but we made it through, got married, and understand each other better than ever. We are still happy together. However, I can't help but feel that life has its cruel side, as no matter how strong and deep your feelings are, they fade away with time. btw, I still love the OST. The feeling of music lasts longer.

Write down your sorrow, fear, and love. By doing so, they become something tangible enough to help you move forward. I hope this method works for you as well.
Watched this for the first time a few years ago. So beautiful. Then I watched it a few years later in Japanese class, still so beautiful and made me very emotional.
I first saw this 3 year's ago, watched multiple times since. I have a crush, a silly one, on some girl I knew back in the fourth grade. I moved at the end of the fourth grade and had no way to contact her. I'm sure we had the same feelings for each other. I am 21 now going on 22. Watching this reminds me of how much I really love her. I visited the places I knew back then and tried looking for her, no such luck. Read the manga, it's amazing, even better than movie, very deep story with a lot of symbols like movie itself. It's true masterpiece about people (not only about love). You wont regret it ;)

T_T GAH! hahaha I think it was still so negative, the symbol of saying "Thank You" seemed like the words "Im moving on" In my eyes, after every relationship, there was a thank you, and just seeing kanae do that too freakin tore me apart haha. I really really liked Tono's 3year girlfriend a lot! I cant believe they left out so much stuff about her!!
The manga definitely tells a better story, especially for the final part (which is about 10 minutes long in the film but takes up about a third of the book). It's maybe less subtle, but it's much more coherent. Going back to the film after reading the manga and everything makes a little more sense.
I watched this movie 3 days ago and my heart feels heavy still. I am absolutely touched by this movie like most of you, because it relates a lot to almost everyone. Remembering your first love and how sweet and innocent we were. Even if it doesn't work out, Makoto Shikai shows us the beauty of being able to move on despite holding such sweet memories. I am also greatly touched by this music. Anoter thing. I am absoluetely terrified of watching this again! My cry again..
Yesterday was my first day at college. I went to college and it was an awesome experience. Everything has been changed now. I am exercising and eating only healthy. My college is also great. They just gave me a great first impression. I don't watch anime, series regularly like I used to do. I only sometimes watch only good anime with good reviews. Hey, I got my nose fixed with a medical procedure called septoplasty. It was pretty crazy, had to deal with some pain during and after the surgery. But thankfully it's finally done! Anyways, I'm trying to learn Python coding and I'm starting with the basics. I'm also reading this book called Rich Dad, Poor Dad. You've probably heard of it before, right? I've been wanting to read it for a while now. Oh, and speaking of things I've been meaning to do, I remembered this song today so I came back to listen to it. I was very shy in elementary school until second grade. This girl moved into our class and she became my very first friend. As the years went on I started to develop feelings for her. But sadly, on the day I got the courage to finally tell her, she moved away and I haven't seen her in years. I can relate a lot to Takaki's relationship with Akari in this movie, and I hope like him, I'll be able to see her again someday.

While I was heartbroken at first, it honestly made me happy to look back on the memories and happy times we spent together.
I think that one reason why this Anime is so beautiful, is that it takes a simple, unrecognized, realistic part of life and makes us see how important these little things can become.
I was personally inspired by this movie to create a story of my own, about my own personal struggle of keeping in touch with friends that shaped me and made me become who I am. To personally thank them many years later in person for believing in me and helping me ever step of the way. This movie reminds us not to dwell on the past but to keep and treasure every waking moment with our beloved friends and family. This piece in particular pulls at the heartstrings.

Just like I say, each song is like each day, there all a new experience and if one wishes to live life to the full, then they should treat the day not like just another but like a completely new experience.

I have learned basic html, css, python, git, github etc. I went through my old comments and realized life was simpler back then. Now I am learning all day about programming and college stuffs. This anime was truly the most amazing movie I've watched, and one of the only anime that has made me cry. For something to be able to reach out and affect someone so strongly, even if they've never experienced it, is truly amazing.
This really was such a meaningful movie that fantastically reflects the reality of life and love. It doesn't always work out, and you learn to move on, if only because you have to.
Today is Sunday I attended classes as usual. And I watched Tokyo revenges ep 19 which was awesome. I watched the quintessential quintuplets ep8 now Im going to watch more 2 episodes. The reason why this movie is so great is becasue when I watched it, I did not think to myself, "Meh, who cares". I cried bitter tears of agony when the train passed by and Akira wasn't there anymore. Beautiful, sad, and greater than most every other piece of cinema ever made.
when I think about this movie.... I think that I was destined to see this because it's just like my life, until now!! I loved and I still love a girl... and like Masayoshi said, If our lives could be restarted, I will be at her side forever!! Now she has a beautiful baby and she got married last year!! But I can still remember the time when we were fooling around!! The promise that we've done to each other... and he life we would live together!! It's so hard for me to forget her and I don't want to be with anyone else cause I know that that one will suffer, because I can't forget the girl that could be my wife!!
This is what you call a masterpiece. Only this movie and clannad have made me cry. Everyday when i use my computer i always play this song. Since everyday is stressful day this song calms me down and helps to get all this stuff in my brain just go away. But it also does make me sad and because only thing that comes in my mind is the ending of this video. I bet it must hurt really really bad.

The thought of being away from someone you hold dear and not being able hear,feel, or see them is something I probably wouldn't be able to take. It's something that def made me learn about all types of things and recommend it to anyone.

Everyone thinks of love during this soundtrack. I saw this after my friend recently committed suicide. Life changes. This was a great example of that. Im losing friends, im growing up, people are moving on. Sometimes you just have to look back and smile at it all. Because otherwise, you'll just cry.

I first saw this movie when I was in high school. I remember being really upset at the ending, and thinking that no, I can't accept this way of thinking. If you really love something, you should run after it and cling to it always, no matter what. At least that's what I wanted to think.
I can't say I've fully come to terms with it now, but I think I understand it a little better. I wonder what my past self would think of me now. I wonder if I'd hate myself.

Can't believe this was posted in 2008. I just watched this movie this year. This video lived through my entire high school and college years with all my relationships, good and bad. And here I am listening to this now. And now I am looking back at all that had happened... I feel like Takaki looking back at all that happened between him and Akira, and looking for Akira everywhere he goes... at the intersection and even in his dreams... on Sakura street, in the newspapers. Just my thoughts...
Back in 2011, I fell in love with this girl. She was challenging and I tried my best to get her attention. After I confessed we became couple for a month. Yes, month, because I had to leave to United States, oh I wish I could stay there forever...Couple of hours before my flight, we were sitting on the bench and talking. Time seemed to be endless, at least that's what I hoped. But I came back to reality after she kissed me and told me that everything from now on will be alright. After that she immediately left, without saying anything, yet I understood that those tears on her cheeks told me good bye. I swallowed my emotions to survive. One day after my arrival to America, I discovered 5 Centimeters Per Second. How Ironic! When the anime was over I sat down on the couch, covered my face, and cried. How ironic! Someone made a story about my life, - I thought to myself. Will I be able to forget her? Will I be able to move on? I don't want to end up like Tohno! In the end we all know that our destiny depends totally on us, and we are the ones who make it certain way. But that time was out of my power. I couldn't do anything. I started questioning my power over destiny.
The whole time I was watching it I felt like Shinkai must've had detectives spying on me or something... that's how much it echoed my life. After thinking about it though I'm sure it hit close to home to many, and that's what makes it so cherished by so many. I'm not sure another film has touched me quite the way this one did. It was like a gut shot of nostalgia.

What I find a travesty bigger than this story itself is that you can't find this wonderful film anymore for a decent price. Seems they stopped printing it. So the few copies left are like $150 on Amazon, and the original "ADV" version is literally priceless as you simply cannot find it. If they're going to print more (and they should), it should be the ADV version. That's the Eng. dub you want remembered and immortalized.
No problem lol and yeah. This movie is masterpiece; one of a kind. They definitely should make more copies, but I'm guessing they wouldn't because of low popularity level (unfortunately) so yeah. But at least this movie has a small, but stable fan-base that will be supporting it forever. lol im part of it xD

Everyone seems to relate to all the situation that happens in the movie series. I met someone in middle school, whom i connected with that really changed the road of my life. But as much i want to relive those days now, its just another chapter in my life that I have to see the great things about. 5 cm per second is how fast a petal from the tree, each moment it falls, its beautiful, but with every beautiful thing in life, there's an end thus when the petal reaches the ground, another petal falls again. So if with someone right now, that you love very much, cherish every moment of it, love every minute of it, grasp all the happiness you can take from it, because you never know when the chapter ends from there. She the most ridiculous break up ever with a song by her friends pretty weird. I went with it she didn't even say anything and let her friends do the work. Later on I dated her again but the relationship was of course short. It only lasted a week. I kept dating till one day I felt strong depression. All the break ups all the broken relationships were pulling me to depression. I noticed that the type of relationships I had weren't even the correct way of having a relationship. Other people in my class were dating too and our class became some reality drama show. I didn't take relationships seriously even the others too. But still even now theirs still girls I like but I'm always thinking about the small fake relationship. That the girl you love doesn't really love you back but even though things like that attack you, you can still go after the person you love, And if you know they don't really love you back just break up because you don't want to feel that depression that hits you in the end. I faced that stuff in a young age but I still fight through it and live a normal life.

hey, I'm Dante, and my story is kinda the same to 5 centimeters per second if you guys want this to kinda hit your heart and feel emotions of my life i recommend you reading this with the soundtrack of "Snow's Station". I have a friend, shes a girl, and i know her for a long time, i knew her in 3rd grade, and she was a really close friend of mine, she was unique than others, she NEVER said a bad word in her life, i don't say bad words when i talk, but only when i type, and her not saying bad words made her really pretty for her kindness and educated person she was, i remember kids in elementary school always though that she and me were something, but i ignored that, i've always been playing with her, and go to parks with her and run around, we would even eat together because both our families dint have enough money for food, so sometimes we starved, i remember she had to move to Colorado, Denver, and i was In Albuquerque, she gave me a big hug and i gave her a big hug, and i felt her crying on my shoulder, i cried a little bit 2, and so i see her getting inside the train, and leaves to Denver, we were in 6th grade when she leaved, and there i go wondering around walking through the city with some tears, 5 months later i receive mail, and i get her letter, she says shes doing good, but when i was readying the letter, it made me think that she was kinda lonely, me and her where never good at making friends, 2 years later, i board the train, and go to Santa Fe, upcorse i sended her a letter telling her i will go to Denver, and there i go into the train, it took lots of hours to get to Denver, but when i get there, almost everyone left, it looked so solitary, when i enter the station, i see her sleeping in the seat, she waited about 3 hours for me, i go to her and call her, she wakes up, i get in my knees and put my hands on her lap, she starts crying, and i start crying, i think it was like 11 pm or something like that, she made me a burrito and i eat, she made the burrito good, i say thanks to her, she smiles, she brought donuts (6 donuts) and i eat 2, she eats 2 donuts, she safes 2 donuts and there we go walking to her house about 11 miles away, about 2 hours in the cold day, she starts getting cold, i feel bad so i give her my jacket so she can wear it (i dint care if i got cold, i wanted her to be warm and safe) and so about when we walked 6 miles (that's how much i thought we walked) we go under a tree and sleep there, i put my jacket around her so no air will go in, and then i just lay down in the tree all cold, she puts her head laying on me, while we both are laying in the tree, we just go to sleep, well she did, but i dint, it was 2 cold for me, i would like go to sleep and shake, and just wake up every 10 minutes (of what it seems like), in the morning, she wakes up and wakes me up, she gives me a donut and she eats 1, i eat the donut, and there we go again, walking to her house, she was happy of seeing me, and i was happy 2 but still sad for some reason, we both look at each other during we walk, i dint wanted to make this awkward, so i start saying what a beautiful morning and stuff (about 8 am from how the sun sets, what i though) there we go, we arrive in her house, she serves me some soup to eat, i felt embarrass for her serving me food from such a long time we don't see each other, she sits down with me and eat, she graves my hand while i was eating and she just talks to me about how was life and stuff when i was eating, i like how her jacket felt really warm, when im done, we go outside and sit down in the cold day, looking at the sun on top of the hill (it was winter, i dint wanted to say it was winter because in the anime its winter 2, so i dint wanted to make you guys think I'm copying the anime movie :/ ) looking at her look at the sunlight, its like a gift of God, the air swinging by, the grass dancing, the sun touching us, her hair floating, the birds chirping, the air singing, the sky passing by and saying hello, looking at her look at the sun makes me feel she is sad and happy at the same time, and that she might be thinking of problems while looking at the sun, her full water eyes make the sun make a reflection on her eye, a little while later, we go walking around together while talking about ourselves (not like boyfriend and girlfriend stuff) days have past and every day we will go outside for a long walk (i sleep in her house) for a day and lay down in the hill for a bit in the morning, we will go buy food together and sit outside the store, how we look each other straight in the eyes when we talk, just makes both of us look like we are thinking the same thing and we are passing through the same pain, how we smile together, and how walk together, so beautiful, her smile is so beautiful, makes me sad because i know im gonna leave again back to my home. to be continued... for reals guys :/ thanks for readying, i appreciate it!

CHAPTER 1
During the 3rd month of the school year I dated another girl in my class. She was nice and a great partner. The problem was we didn't even get to spend time together. We didn't talk a lot we only talked when I was with her friends. That time I was going to Montreal the next week for a 1 week vacation. That last day I decided to spend time with her but that day went different. In the middle of class she said she wanted to break up. She said I was using her to get this other girl in my class that I had a crush on. That wasn't true at all it was also random saying that since I had a crush on that girl a month ago that time. I didn't understand why she would say that all of a sudden. That day I decided to write a letter. With the help of my two friends. It was pretty stupid asking for help but I did anyway since I didn't know what to say. My friend gave it to her that day. She read it but I never got to hear the answer. While I was in Montreal I got a text message by her friend. I asked if she accepted it she said no. I went with it but in the inside I felt sad. I tried to be a great partner towards her but I just didn't know how to spend time with her. I wasn't ready to date her I wasn't even ready to date anyone. When I came back from Montreal she told me she wanted to talk to me in recess. I was to ashamed to show my face towards her so I put my hood on. I noticed that girls were having some group meeting around me. She asked why do you like about a girl. I couldn't answer because I didn't want to say the wrong answer. Do you just like the Girl because shes pretty do you even care about the personality. That was something that I learned that day. Did I truly care about the person I'm with. Did I truly care about the person her self. All that time I didn't notice herself who she truly was. I tightened my fist why, why couldn't I understand that. I finally understood why. She taught me something that day that I never noticed at all. The bell rang. I stood their thinking about what I should've done. I was walking back to the school building and before going in I hugged her. I was sorry for not understanding I was sorry for hurting her all this time. Till that day I kept the words she told me.
CHAPTER 2
It was February a week before valentines day. I dated again and it was the the girl who I first dated. We hung out texted each other and had a normal relationship. Valentines day came we both texted each other and decide to have a kiss in valentines day. That was what I was thinking about that day. Btw we were way to young for that but idk what I was thinking that day lol. Our class planed on going to skating in valentines day. I skated with her it was fun especially the falls that happened on the ice lol. We had a class photo and put my arms around her. I was really happy that day spending time with her bit then something different happened that day. Me and her were taking in the end of the school day. She told me to text her I was going for a kiss but I just stopped and went with what she was saying. I went home eat dinner and went upstairs to my room to get my phone. I see my notifications in my messages. It wasn't what expected but it was hateful words. She mentioned the word cheater than made a long text message saying cheater dog. That day was valentines day and what I got that day was hate and sadness. It was stupid coming up with this type of conversation. I did nothing wrong. I was a good partner towards her but still she did that unexpectedly. I was sad that time not knowing what I did. She said I cheated on her. I tried to explain I that I didn't do anything but she kept ignoring me. I asked her how does she know. She told me from her friends. She said I was secretly dating someone. She was all normal to me at school but right after she acted like some angry beast that tried to kill you. I don't actually mean that but I'll just go with it. It was also random. The relationship ended with me knowing that it's the other way around. She cheated on me. At the end of the day before she told me to text her he was sitting and talking with a guy from the other class. His friends that were also my friends were pushing him to her like they were helping him for a date proposal. Than the next day she texted me and said she's gonna date the guy I was talking about. She said she was sorry after I just texted it's okay but it wasn't really okay. I went with it I didn't care at all after that.
CHAPTER 3
Later on I dated her again than another than after we stopped. She kept asking me out and also kept breaking up with me pretty weird but whatever. Our last relationship ended and but the difference was I did the breakup. I knew she was gonna breakup with me again. I knew she liked this other guy because it was obvious they shared seats acted like a couple and worked together. I just ended it , it wasn't called being jealous it was called doing the right thing. If I didn't care about her I would let her date as much guys and cheat on me as much as I let her but the thing is did care for her. It was because I truly loved her so if it meant breaking up I did the right thing because I cared. I let her be happy with the person she likes. So I left it with my final relationship.
CHAPTER 4 (even tho this is short👍👊😅 Lel)
Look this story just explains the stuff that happened through grade 6 making the fact that this story is a drama it's self so I guess chapter 4 is to ruin the dramatic moment and go with the story. Jk read it this as you want to read it Lel. So yep😜

Grade 7 came like a wrecking ball lol. Summer was short and school has started. I decided to stop dating and do my studies and stuff. Our class was weird to tell the true lol even I was lol. This movie is a textbook example of how to set up characters and relationships successfully. And in only an hour...it really achieves more than most movies series do in five hours or more.
What amazing from this movie is that you don't need to have girlfriend to experience it. Somehow our loneliness itself, and our longing for something we don't even know are already reflected in the movie. And most probably our childhood's dream that we abandon after becoming adult.

i feel like your name and weathering with you are too unrealistic but this movie just hits the spot. it's relatable and not overly dramatic.
It's a classic but both of the two you mentioned above are modern made for teens according to their choice if they releas 5 Centimetres Per Second it will flop in audience.
This is the playlist that get me through highschool, college, and now racing against the deadline. It is the best music for my ears. I get so much things done while listening to this. I have been listening to these track for 14 years
I will always find myself coming back to this song and reminisce about my first love and childhood. I guess adulthood entails a lot of reminiscing and the feeling of wanting to turn back time to when life was simpler.
What hurts for me too is I am around the same age as the characters going by the years it takes place in. Relationships that never happens... Story of my life too. Such a painful story.

I watched this film over 30 times when I was around 20. I remember every scene, every dialogue, every transition, every moment when the OST begins. It struck me deeply in the heart almost every minute, making me burst into tears or struggle to breathe. But over 15 years later, I watched it again and felt it was plain and no longer resonated with me.
On the bright side, I still have my "Akari" by my side. We went through our toughest times around 20 years old, but we made it through, got married, and understand each other better than ever. We are still happy together. However, I can't help but feel that life has its cruel side, as no matter how strong and deep your feelings are, they fade away with time.

Write down your sorrow, fear, and love. By doing so, they become something tangible enough to help you move forward. I hope this method works for you as well.

Watched this for the first time a few years ago. So beautiful. Then I watched it a few years later in Japanese class, still so beautiful and made me very emotional.

I first saw this 3 year's ago, watched multiple times since. I have a crush, a silly one, on some girl I knew back in the fourth grade. I moved at the end of the fourth grade and had no way to contact her. I'm sure we had the same feelings for each other. I am 21 now going on 22. Watching this reminds me of how much I really love her. I visited the places I knew back then and tried looking for her, no such luck. I live in California, she lives/d in Louisiana just out side of New Orleans.

This film shows that these two were deeply in love at one stage but life can change that. This film is easily one of the most realistic and beautiful anime films that I've ever seen.
i think what really eats at me is how they set it up as they never engaged into an intimate relationship but when they look back its what could have been
that moment. When u realize u havent felt real love nor real love depression yet u go to school with a "mask" on to just fit in w/ society. lmao the 1th year of college for me starts soon. and I am gonna take of my mask and make a manga which will low all ur minds away! i want to make others happy with my texts and drawings so they can get the courage to express themselfs too!! :)
Read the manga, it's amazing, even better than movie, very deep story with a lot of symbols like movie itself. It's true masterpiece about people (not only about love). You wont regret it ;)

Mark Tan Dude, that cliffhanger killed me so much!! T_T GAH! hahaha I think it was still so negative, the symbol of saying "Thank You" seemed like the words "Im moving on" In my eyes, after every relationship, there was a thank you, and just seeing kanae do that too freakin tore me apart haha. I really really liked Tono's 3year girlfriend a lot! I cant believe they left out so much stuff about her!!
The manga definitely tells a better story, especially for the final part (which is about 10 minutes long in the film but takes up about a third of the book). It's maybe less subtle, but it's much more coherent. Going back to the film after reading the manga and everything makes a little more sense.

I watched this movie 3 days ago and my heart feels heavy still. I am absolutely touched by this movie like most of you, because it relates a lot to almost everyone. Remembering your first love and how sweet and innocent we were. Even if it doesn't work out, Makoto Shikai shows us the beauty of being able to move on despite holding such sweet memories. I am also greatly touched by this music. Anoter thing. I am absoluetely terrified of watching this again! My cry again..
Yesterday was my first day at college. I went to college and it was an awesome experience. Everything has been changed now. I am exercising and eating only healthy. My college is also great. They just gave me a great first impression. I don't watch anime, series regularly like I used to do. I only sometimes watch only good anime with good reviews. About 1.5 years ago I watched 5 cm per second movie, It changed my life. The movie was painful. That's when I started to journalize my day in the comments. Time is really fast. Bye Guys.

Hey, I got my nose fixed with a medical procedure called septoplasty. It was pretty crazy, had to deal with some pain during and after the surgery. But thankfully it's finally done! Anyways, I'm trying to learn Python coding and I'm starting with the basics. I'm also reading this book called Rich Dad, Poor Dad. You've probably heard of it before, right? I've been wanting to read it for a while now. Oh, and speaking of things I've been meaning to do, I remembered this song today so I came back to listen to it. By the way, a few days before my surgery, one of my clients gave me a gaming laptop as a gift for editing their videos. I'm so grateful for that! The laptop is really cool. I was very shy in elementary school until second grade. This girl moved into our class and she became my very first friend. As the years went on I started to develop feelings for her. But sadly, on the day I got the courage to finally tell her, she moved away and I haven't seen her in years. I can relate a lot to Takaki's relationship with Akari in this movie, and I hope like him, I'll be able to see her again someday.

While I was heartbroken at first, it honestly made me happy to look back on the memories and happy times we spent together.

I think that one reason why this Anime is so beautiful, is that it takes a simple, unrecognized, realistic part of life and makes us see how important these little things can become.
This soundtrack is so relaxing that it helps me everyday in sleeping.

I was personally inspired by this movie to create a story of my own, about my own personal struggle of keeping in touch with friends that shaped me and made me become who I am. To personally thank them many years later in person for believing in me and helping me ever step of the way. This movie reminds us not to dwell on the past but to keep and treasure every waking moment with our beloved friends and family. This piece in particular pulls at the heartstrings.
not just the movie but the songs.. each one tells it's own story and each gives it's own lessons to those who listen. Just like I say, each song is like each day, there all a new experience and if one wishes to live life to the full, then they should treat the day not like just another but like a completely new experience.
I loved how simple and calming it was. It's one of my favourites! The soundtrack, plot, characters and the scenery gosh it's breathtaking and I loved every second.
My board exams starts from 3 months from today. I need to focus on what's important for me. I watched interstellar movie today and I am still shock the movie is too good. I love the movie. I wish I could erase some memories of it and re-watch it. It's 10:28pm.

Btw, I finally got time to watch monster. It's like slow entertainment. Never fails to amaze me. 😊
This anime was truly the most amazing movie I've watched, and one of the only anime that has made me cry. For something to be able to reach out and affect someone so strongly, even if they've never experienced it, is truly amazing.
This really was such a meaningful movie that fantastically reflects the reality of life and love. It doesn't always work out, and you learn to move on, if only because you have to.

6 year passed when i first watched this movie, i can say: this movie is still a master piece about dramatic love story.... with a lot of tears.
Every time I hear this song I remember how good 5Cm Per Second was and I always get a tear in my eye.
Today is Sunday I attended classes as usual. And I watched Tokyo revenges ep 19 which was awesome. I watched the quintessential quintuplets ep8 now Im going to watch more 2 episodes. But I don't want to end this wonderful anime. I just want to watch this forever it's such a great anime. I'm just loving it.

The reason why this movie is so great is becasue when I watched it, I did not think to myself, "Meh, who cares". I cried bitter tears of agony when the train passed by and Akira wasn't there anymore. Beautiful, sad, and greater than most every other piece of cinema ever made.
when I think about this movie.... I think that I was destined to see this because it's just like my life, until now!! I loved and I still love a girl... and like Masayoshi said, If our lives could be restarted, I will be at her side forever!! Now she has a beautiful baby and she got married last year!! But I can still remember the time when we were fooling around!! The promise that we've done to each other... and he life we would live together!! It's so hard for me to forget her and I don't want to be with anyone else cause I know that that one will suffer, because I can't forget the girl that could be my wife!!

This is what you call a masterpiece. Only this movie and clannad have made me cry. Everyday when i use my computer i always play this song. Since everyday is stressful day this song calms me down and helps to get all this stuff in my brain just go away. But it also does make me sad and because only thing that comes in my mind is the ending of this video. I bet it must hurt really really bad.
Omg, I cried so hard at the end of this anime, because I forced myself to hold back the tears while I was watching it.
The thing about this movie, that even in it's happiest moments, you still had this sense of unbearable sadness.

You know I never really cried in 5 cm per second but it made me feel sad. The thought of being away from someone you hold dear and not being able hear,feel, or see them is something I probably wouldn't be able to take. It's something that def made me learn about all types of things and recommend it to anyone.

To this day this whole movie soundtrack is some of the most beautiful I've heard for nearly anything. The melodies are distinct and you can really hear and feel the themes of this movie: regret, longing, love, etc.
