Dude i don´t know why this anime is so hyped up i never watched it but even the idea of a guy who beats anyone in one punch sounds fucking boring is this worth watching?
+BawZ Meliodas I thought the exact same thing as you before I watched it. It's definitely worth watching. While in most shonen anime the main struggle for the main character is always getting stronger here it's more about the main character finding a villain strong enough to give him a good fight. Besides that the show deals with things like fame VS infamy, how much impact you can make on the world with your power and whether unlimited power is truly as great as it sounds. You should also keep in mind that there are a lot of conflicts that can't be resolved through punching. You can't punch a crowd of people into liking you, or punch away a psychological crisis. Besides - most of the fights don't actually involve the main character until the end seeing how he can't be everywhere at once. Sometimes he arrives just in the nick of time and sometimes he isn't there at all. There are also a few villains that survive multiple punches if only because Saitama didn't use his ultimate punch on them from the get go (to be fair his 'serious' punches pack enough power to split the atmosphere, vapourize mountain ranges, crush meteorites and reverse planet annihilating beams with just the shock wave so they aren't always the go to course of action when you are fighting in a crowded area). One villain even tanked a full Serious punch and lived for a few minutes after before succumbing to his injuries. Last but not least this show is FUCKING HILARIOUS. If for nothing else you should at least watch it for that reason.
