They're not "squeaks" they're "multiphonics". U can try playing the C4 and remove the F key (left thumb). U should be left with 3 fingers (left hand) and try blowing with relaxed embouchure. And it has nothing to do with reed strength.
Because it sounds cool. It's an interesting piece of music. No, it doesn't sound like conventional classical music, but it's interesting, and the performance is fucking brilliant. It has nothing to do with being an art hipster to recognize that this is an amazing performance. I'm not a huge fan of contemporary music all the time, but I recognize it's value and I am glad classical music is being advanced.
Its called respecting the contemporary music. Everyone would love to see you try this piece perfectly.

I can't be called clarinetist after this dude. v:
I think the squeaks were more-or-less intentional.
Not squeaks
@@ethanpederson Don't worry, I've learned a little more about music since 8 years ago
No hate on kim.. but how can this even be considered a solo piece.. it sounds like garbage..
-incoming "art hipsters"-
you guys are too serious, while hearing modern music, never think about the rule and tonality, just feel the music
