Am I the only person who thinks Tails is a much more fitting protagonist for Sonic CD? The game's more about exploration, so it's more fitting to his slower paced, curious nature. Everytime I have him fly in Sonic CD, I can't help but imagine him looking down at the strange surreal sights in wonder.

Sonic's good ending: Saves Little Planet, retrieves the gems and frees the animals, saved a girl and beats Robotnik's ass. Credits roll. I did another playthrough of Sonic CD a few weeks ago: ruclips.net/video/-3zAfbMwiiQ/видео.html I've received quite a few requests to do a good-ending playthrough by collecting all time stones and to visit the good future more. Therefore, in this playthrough I get the good ending by collecting all time stones, which I achieve by the end of Quartz Quadrant act2. I visit the good future in every act. I destroy the robot generators so that I can visit the good future in each act until I collect the final time stone, which guarantees the good future in all remaining acts.
My theory: This alternative is good, Sonic is captured by Eggman, but fails to capture Tails so he'll have to create good future and defeat Eggman in order to save his friend, Amy is also no where to be found so she probably with Sonic captured
@@superoakwood5513 It could be that Tails already knew Eggman's evil plans so he went to save little planet and after that Sonic, Tails and Amy became friends.
Tails makes a good ending (best ending) for the entire game, but collects six time stones (destroying every machine in the past of each zone before Metallic Madness Zone 3 which is thereby in the Good Future) and saves the final one for last, and then successfully collects it (all 7 collected). But the game ends an alternate way after the final boss is defeated.

Retro Master Hes probably on act 3 (the boss) cause he might have not found out the strategy Basically all you need for the boss is keep on holding right cause you will always automatically get the ring back if you had only 1 and then its done (dont worry about the spike things xd)
Playing the game as Tails is easier because you have to opportunity to fly to avoid hazards and stuff, especially that hard part in Metallic Madness 3, where there are lots of moving platforms that you can fall through. Sonic has a hard time doing this, but Tails literally has 0% trouble with it. Getting the time stones is still tough though, IDC if I get the good or bad ending.

For some reason I think the bad ending for Sonic is canon, and the good ending for Tails is also canon, here’s what I’m talking about: After the bad ending, Tails stumbles upon the chained Little Planet, he goes on to it, destroys the generators, scoops up the Time Stones, and defeats Eggman.
I wouldn't be surprised if tails was supposed to become a playable character for this particular game in the beginning but they scrapped the idea if so I will not be surprised if his playable character mechanic was supposed to be him looking for sonic in little planet because it honestly looks that way
