Just a little note: As a contractor I noticed that you butt joined the painted white paneling to the wall of the van with no gap. Since you have done that in winter the panel is fully contracted. Once it warms up each (wood) panel will expand and buckle (warp). Winter is also low humidity. When summer comes, increases in humidity and temp will swell the panel. Building code (where I live) requires a 3/16-1/4 inch gap between panel edges to allow for expansion. These are covered by panel strips that are sold in the same finish as the panel. Your project-your van, but it would be a "rip it out and do it again" once the panels start to swell. Temperature variations are also much more extreme in a metal van as opposed to a house. Plastic (purpose formulated automotive panels don't expand - as much).

Hey Eric, great stuff, love the channel and thinking to do something similar now. Been watching quite a few builds and yours is unique in the way that you dont put the weight of the bed onto the floor. 1) Any concerns around stability / weight and 2) I understand the horizontal L shape is put in with rivnuts to support the bed. But what is the vertical piece for that is behind the horizontal one in a 90 degree angle? thanks!

It was a blast and have had a craving for more of it ever sense. I've started a channel of my own just talking about bikes, my progress, and journey. I'd really appreciate it if you could check me out and give me some advice as to progressing both in my triathlons and channel. Your van transformation was incredible, I've never seen the progression of a van into a sleeper. Your video editing is great as well, I'm still very raw and my videos do not flow well, you've got a real feel for the camera. Just wanted to say hello and I appreciate the videos.
