Doc talks about the deer food plots and deer plantings on the farm property. When planting deer food plots in the late season two factors must be considered; germination temps and frost resistance.

Hey doc! I’ve been watching your videos ever since I bought my house in Texas last September. The lawn is absolutely a mess! It’s hard, huge hard dirt patches under trees, a whole entire corner is just loose sand. They laid sod down and it was basically dead by the time we actually moved in and to this day I could probably pull most of it up. Any suggestions on how to fix any of this? There are so many videos and I just feel kinda lost on where to start. I have your calendar saved that I look at I’m just not sure in what order I need to do everything I need to do. I want to treat the ground so it’s not so hard, aerate, seed, and at the same time I want to prevent and treat weeds. And I know I can’t seed after yawing pre/post emergent. Any help I would greatly appreciate! Your videos are great, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! If you ever need to a video about turning a terrible lawn into a beautiful one, my house would be perfect 👍

Focus on the soil first... grow the soil and the living plants (grass) will take care of the rest. Soil test #1 many a few spots then maybe bring in quality organic based material to add.

How much does it cost you to keep those deer fat and happy?

What do your neighbours think Doc of you providing safe haven for Deer's to breed unchecked? I assume you have a few farms around you, seems a lot of farmers in the USA do not appreciate the beautiful deer.
