This is still one of the clearest tutorial on Parametrics in Darktable ever. Love Darktable. Using it together with Magic Lantern. You really explain topics well. Bless you.
The longer you work with it, the more you will see that this is a program from photographers for photographer. The possibilities are close to endless. One thing that lacks a bit (in my view) are some workflow related moments. The people behind darktable are so deep into it that they sometimes forget the problems they have had as beginners ;) It is really important to develop a workflow of your own and stick to it! Improvements are always possible later on.
Thanks 👍 I've used paramasks for some time but, to be honest most was intuition and trial and error 😂 That was the best explanation for it i have seen until now. Big Thumbs Up!
thank you so much, that was super helpful ! I just startet editing with Darktable and you blew my mind more than once while watching this video :D Your way of explaining really helps me to understand the software.
Thank you for putting this together, it's very helpful. I do have a request that you update this tutorial using Darktable 3.0X as some of the features have been changed in this newer version.
Thanks! Yes, I'd like to update these tutorials, I think I can include more features and also present the material better next time. I'm not sure when it will be, but its on my list of 'to do'!
I have a suggestion if you are wanting to do this as a tutorial. Slow down your mouse curser and try not to dart around as much. Slow down on resizing the screen and moving it.
@@TJFREE Great Tutorial. I agree slow down screen on resizing the screen and moving would make better. I like your teaching style Great information explained in simple way less than 10 minutes. Thank you
@@onurerdagli Thanks Onur. I re-watched this one and its especially jumpy and fast with mouse and zoom. Being conscious of it will make all the difference.

I am very impressed with this program. It seems the possibilities are incredible.

Many thanks. A great series of videos that are helping me a lot with Darktable
I knew about Darktable years ago but never experimented with it. Thanks for the great videos! Might have to give this program a shot.
You're welcome. Its a great program!

Thanks for the suggestion, Aurthor. I think you're right, that would help improve these tutorials. I think I can work on that in the next series.

Can you describe how to do selective blur with??
Aha! So the full and empty triangles actually represent the feather, right? :-) I was so confused about this.
Thank you ❤️ this is what I am looking for ❤️👍
