I believe we will have a winning record again, and possibly a playoff berth.. The first 4 games will paint a picture of the Broncos future..

I think we will have a winning record too. If we won that many games last year with how limited Wilson was I think we will be better this season. I think Bo will outplay Wilson's season from 23-24 and surprise a lot of people. Obviously we could be better and just have some losses we shouldn't and end up with a worse record but I don't think it will happen.
JL is gonna be a monster! I stocked up on his rookie sigs as soon as we drafted him! Unbelievable size/speed/jumping, really the whole package. I hope they try him as a sub linebacker in their dime sets, the middle of the field would be allllll his.

Yes! This is the one player from that draft class that I wanted the Broncos to grab, really surprised he fell that far. Any possibility he could kick down to MLB on passing situations? His size and speed defending the middle of the field would be a problem for teams that often try to exploit Linebackers with mismatches. It would also allow him to get on the field more often because of the deep Safety room.
He wasn't on my radar, I don't watch enough college but I'm stoked he's on the team now! Good catch

Ya I was worried about that as well but the fact he wasn't fired after the 70 point game and Pat Macafee rumoring it makes me wonder if he's more a fox hole guy than we know...Payton must like him. With Walmart money it's not like we are pinching penny. The great thing about our ownership group now is that we will get to see what Sean Payton can actually build with no excuses, they'll buy him whatever he needs (obviously within the salary cap). It'll be interesting to see how the Defensive Coordinator stuff plays out
@@SportsTalkDenver Yeah we will see I just don't get the whole Vance Joseph NFL experience. The guy doesn't exactly succeed in any capacity but it seems people really really like him and he's a great players coach. But if you don't get your players to perform I don't think it really matters if they like you.

High motor players always shine in preseason. Then the season comes around and they get smoked by more talented players.
Very good point- I remember hearing a story about Champ Bailey and how he was the last person out to practice and first off and he'd take a knee and rest when it wasn't his snap...and he just didn't believe in any wasted movement or effort- but when it came to it he would ball out! Then you'd have someone like Tebow who'd be there an hour before practice and stay and throw at stationary targets for an hour after and try really hard but he couldn't ball. It's effort and talent that win out at the end of the day

That was definitely my concern watching some of the hits- it gave me Kareem Jackson flashbacks- everytime he'd hit someone I was paralyzed scanning every corner of the TV looking for a flag...after a few seconds with no flag then I'd cheer

The only positions I’m worried about is the LCB(don’t like the talent there), the MLB(lack of speed),dline pass rush(not olb pass rush) and WR( we don’t have a number one so it will be WR by committee). Safety was never an issue because we are like 4 deep and it’s a low value position.
I don't know if I agreed with you that the safety is a low value position until this offseason when I saw so many of them cut and Justin Simmons is STILL a free agent. If Mims takes a considerable leap forward and Tim Patrick is 90% of his former self I think our wide out room is good
