Blessed love to all, Big Don I miss you on the bowl, if I had known I would tuned in, I was on 26 my sitting channel down here in Jamaica west Indies !!
@@JamesBronson-hy3rb Thank you for your kind words sir. It seems that the tube doesn't appreciate my postings. Many have been taken down on many different topics so it's across the board. Always a pleasure seeing you again sir. Take care & stay safe, TMP, Unit 22 from N.J.
@@thomasperina2990 right on Thomas keep on doing your thing buddy I was a little worried about you because you comment on every BBi video. Can't wait to see your amplifier buddy oh ya I'm in northern California. Yuba city to be exact
@@JamesBronson-hy3rb James you are a real gentleman. Actually my order is getting bigger & I think you will be impressed cause I don't like crap & I admire the work of BBI + his intelligence. His workmanship is second to none & I haven't found anyone in the past 7 years that even comes close. I started in CB & HAM radio back in 1965, I even built a lot of my own stuff + designed antennas. Back in the 80's my station got hit by lightning & everything was destroyed. Last year I lost my wife so I'm rebuilding/ designing a complete setup. Man is this shit getting super expensive. All my respect sir, TMP, Unit 22 from N.J.
SSB should only need about 3 kHz if it's clean. On that band the if the band is open anything will get there. I used a 25 watt radio shack transceiver and a Larsen base loaded whip and talked from my car all over the world. New Zealand, Russia, Japan, Italy , etc. If the band is closed you could use 500 kilowatts and you would only be talking local. Really noting beats a great antenna as they work both ways if you have 6 dBd on transmit you will have the same gain on receive. SSB is considerably more efficient than AM. One of the really good things about getting your Ham ticket is you can't help but learn about a whole world of radio and sometimes things you never heard of before I have held every license class Novice, Technician , General, Advanced, and now Amateur Extra. I remembered studying for Advanced and it needed trigonometry ! I think those days are gone there wasn't any hard math on the extra now. No code anymore either but at the moment I'm studying CW really hard to be a better operator and maybe work some QRP. Take Care, DE N5WRW @@georgegetterdone896
