People commenting that he was just "flailing his arms" don't seem to realize that vogue and waacking are real dance styles with technique that is very intricate...if you just flap your arms around to music with no technique I guarantee you will not look remotely like this. For more examples of the style look up Aya Sato, Lip J, and Ibuki & Yumeki (there's lots more but that's just who comes to mind off the top of my head).

If you know vogue and want to critique his technique, I have absolutely no problem. Based on his other videos, he doesn't seem like someone whose main style is vogue/waacking, so obviously it's not on par with the other dancers I mentioned. My comment was mainly aimed towards non-dancers because I often see them make the "flapping arms" comments on vogueing/waacking vids in general. From what I've seen, a lot of people don't really know what it is, so I'm just putting information out there for those who don't follow dance at all and are maybe seeing it for the first time.
You're entitled to your opinion. Just putting more info out there about the style in general so people can go look at it before passing judgment on the style as a whole based on one kid's performance that they may or may not like.
For waacking look up: Tyrone Proctor, Archie Burnett, Brian Green, Princess Lockerooo, Nene, Princess Madoki just to name a few!
It's genuinely no shade, but those girls you mentioned (just imo) should not be the first girls you look up if you are new to vogue. Look up clips of Sinia Ebony from the early 90s, look at Willi Ninja, look up Leiomy or Kevin Jz. These people ARE vogue to me. Again, just my opinion.

Technically speaking it is “inspired” by voguing a lot of it was not voguing, that you would see in the past and present ballroom scenes. BUT it was still damn good.

Constant Chaos LMFAOOOOOO its LITERALLY not voguing. There are people who GROW UP in the ballroom scene and honestly as one of those people, this is NOT voguing. Take 100000 steps back and do some research. Mrs Visage was NOT in ballroom since its roots and she if she confuses this as voguing then she doesn’t know what voguing is either. Besides, Mrs Visage is big in the drag scene, NOT the voguing scene. Voguing incorporates many different elements and Zacc did NONE of them besides a very sloppy hand performance that was more whacking then voguing. It literally is not vogue and I hate when the culture of ballroom is appropriated by people who don’t know anything about it. Get it together
AIres&Themis I agree but Zacc never said it was Vogue so I wouldn’t really attack him for that. Also even from a Waacking standpoint it was messy 😬. But that’s not his main style he is actually a really good dancer if you look at his other videos he does a lot of hiphop, urban, dancehall, popping, and more. But he has never really trained Waacking or Voguing so I don’t know why he chose that when he auditioned.

Obviously the other judges loved him, but it just feels so much more special with her there & warms my heart to see him perform for someone who just KNOWS so intimately what this is all about

This routine might not be the best representation of Zacc's skills as a dancer, but anyone who has watched numerous styles and thousands of dancers over the years, can see the marks of training and a mind for precision this guy has. Before this, I had never heard of him -- though based on this very short audition, knew I'd be taking a stroll through other videos to see what else this guy can do. (And I was not disappointed!!)
His voice is so soft, I could hear him talking all day long
This guy has danced for Royal Family. For the people saying he’s just flailing his arms.. let 👏🏽 me 👏🏽 see 👏🏽 you 👏🏽 replicate 👏🏽 what 👏🏽 he 👏🏽 just 👏🏽 did 👏🏽. He choreographed that himself which takes talent. He got a standing ovation which is well deserved 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Of course HE knows how to do his own routine; he's the one who came up with it! It should be no surprise that others couldn't easily replicate ANY dance routine, whether good or bad, without practice. Whether or not something can be easily replicated does not determine whether it's good. He's clearly a great dancer, but as far as voguing, he wouldn't have made it in the NY ballroom scene. People who aren't familiar with that scene gave him a standing ovation, whereas other audiences would not have.
Michelle Visage living for your performance is probably the most important recognition you could receive as a dancer/Drag Queen.

Ive been following this dancer for a while now and I can tell Zacc is just giving a small taste of his style to the judges. Obviously you don't want to show everything you've got in an audition or else it will ruin the surprise. To anyone who has something awful to say, please educate yourself on dancing nowadays and do your research before blatantly saying he "can't dance". It's 2018, wake up.

He was in the royal family. There are amazing dancers. He's already made a name for himself before going on igt. This audition didn't do him justice but that just means he has loads more to show in his next performances and can keep getting better and better, rather than showing all his best bits in audition and having nowhere to go from there.
