Golden Child - Burn It is such a master piece I’ve been missing those huge and impactful storylines, it make that song straight hitting into the deepest part of your heart (but of course even without the MV it’s still so good with their beautiful vocals)
For casual listeners they may think iKON is just a hip-hop group, but in reality iKON is more than that. When I think of iKON I hear: Love Scenerio, Goodbye Road, Adore You, Airplane, My Type, Freedom, I'm OK, Hug Me, Don't Forget, Apology, and more. They have one of the most diverse discographies in the industry.
hiphop may be ikon's backbone but they have a lot of amazing laid back and even top tier ballads in their discography. Their bsides is like a stash of hidden gems. For ballad I recommend Don't Forget, Just Go and Goodbye Road. For rock their is Freedom and Ah Yeah. For chill, aside from love scenario their is My type, Beautiful, and For Real. There's really a lot.
I legit think Billlie are the heirs to Red Velvet. They can do cute, wierd, silly, serious, emotional - sometimes all within the same song. They are masters of concept (and they are not even a year since debut) and they are just god-tier stacked with talent. If Mystic Story keep to the path they have set for Billlie so far, they are going to be a MASSIVE force in the Korean music industry for many years to come.
"Burn It" is pure K-pop cinema (plus the song's amazing). There's like a supplementary story video that explains some of the story, for example the members in the bus meet up in that warehouse and are looking for supplies when they get attacked by some zombies. There was also like a paid webtoon or smth that links to the story or something?? I forget now (might've been for another MV?). But yeah, Bomin (the blonde guy) and the girl are dating, and Y (the member with the baseball bat) is her brother, that's why he tries to draw the zombies to himself for them to escape. And actually, the Korean title is something like "I'll hug/embrace you", so that's kind of a fitting way to end the MV (not sure if she's healed, but the hug at least delays it for now). And Jaehyun is the one who goes to his mom after looking at her picture.
ikon...lot of people like ikon bcoz theyre rapper BI and Bobby but im in love with ikon bcoz they vocal...junhoe husky voice and DK angelic vocal stole my heart....
I knew you'd love But You if you heard it!!! It's probably my favorite title track from iKON next to Love Scenario now!!! Burn It is going to become one of those classic MVs in the future for its plot and great production for sure!
Jinhwan/Jay is the iKON tiny boy! Hahaha I knew instantly who you were talking about when you said that lol. I believe they don't have a leader since B.I. left? But I personally think of Jinhwan as the leader because of age and how he kinda presents himself and the team :)
Billlie really impressed me. Vocals and harmonies on a very high level that will surely increase to Red Velvet and Mamamoo levels in short time. ICHILLIN' have a lot of potential and hopefully more people will discover them and support them and their company.
Billlie did multiple covers during this live-stream, and it is an interesting mix of members. Haram and Suhyeon are co-main vocalists, while Siyoon and Sheon are dance and rap focused. So it was nice to see Siyoon and Sheon singing.
iKON's leader was BI, and they just haven't had one since he left the group. I think for them he was just irreplaceable as leader. Their vocals are incredibly underappreciated, they have very strong vocalists but it gets overshadowed because they're so known for their rap side. Their Killing Verse they did was very good. For a good look at iKON vocal songs I'd suggest Just Go, Apology, Don't Forget, and Just for You, those are great ones. I think the more iKON you watch the more you'll love them, I know you love Stray Kids and Ateez and I feel like both of them definitely took inspiration from iKON.
Listen stage is a content from mystic for their artist to showcase their vocals. And the best of it is that it's live!! The girls have been doing them since predebut there's so many good cover there, Billlie are such a vocal orientated group and it sometimes get over shine by their great performances but listen stage are the best to remind how good they are
For me, burn it is actually a sad ending. The girl didn't turned human because of the hug because seeing at the very first scene of the mv, the girl's hand let go from his embrace, depicting that she d-worded. There are so many theories back then after watching the mv and it's honestly so intriguing to watch! Stan golden child!!
Billlie's "Feel My Rhythm” cover is freakin impressive as hell. I will never get tired of Haram-Suhyeon vocal duo. Would love to see you check out more of ichillin.Especially,their debut "Got Ya” or the AMAZING bside "La Luna” which got more popular than the title hide and seek from the same album. "But You” is for sure one of my top favorite titles this year. I also love this side of iKON more than their hip hop stuff. Also glad that you checked out "burn it” since its such a masterpiece both in terms of the song and the mv.

Hahaha

During this "listen stage" they also did a cover of eight by IU ft Suga and Atlantis Princess by BoA. They also sang Moon Palace which is a song off their GingaMingaYo album. I would recommend the "eight" cover, since you've reacted to that song before. They've done two other listen stages where they sang songs off their RingXRing album, GingaMingaYo album, and various other covers.
I saw ICHILLIN's La Luna a bunch over the summer while watching the weekly shows, and they really impressed me so I had seen Play Hide and Seek before. The rest was new though and I really enjoyed all of it! That Golcha MV is nuts 🔥
I recommend Dingo Killing Verse Vol.2 for iKON to see a broad sampling of their discography and talent. Also Winner’s Killing Voice is awesome as well. Enjoy!
