I've had close to a dozen Xero shoes, and this is the only decent pair I've had. I like to go completely barefoot on city trails, but I don't care to try going up rocky trains in the mountains, so I bought these for a Pike's Peak hike. Every other Xero I've had has been trash. I kept buying them because there weren't many other options for barefoot style. The grip on these is incredible. Probably better than any traditional hiking shoe I've owned. I hope this is a sign of things to come for Xero, but it doesn't seem so based on my most recent purchase form them.
Great video as always, thanks! How are these on wet roads during a rain, are they slippery at all? I'm trying to find an alternate shoe when it's raining, my Prio's are too slippery when the road is wet
I once wore a pair of Xeroshoe's Aqua X Sports because they had those rubber lugs but they did not last long because the upper was so thin - and not meant for soccer haha! I'm hoping these could be a viable option worth considering. I appreciate your response! @@Engearment
Hey, @@GARZAN10 this is Wil, another Engearment Xero fan. I love the aquas. I use them to wade when fishing, sometimes running to the site. Xero shoes, by their nature, are minimalist and so will not be as sturdy on the top of the shoe. However, for your purposes, I would try the 360, which is beefed up on top for climbing ropes. You will undoubtedly strengthen your feet over time, kicking a ball in a minimalist shoe. Mind you, the Tarahumara kids learn to run by using a ball, and they only wear sandals.
i use mesa trail 2 for light soccer play , they are just ok but will not resist real soccer play. plus usually soccer shoes are on the tight side, opposite of xero's wide toe box.
Any chance these could be used for mountain biking with flat pedals? I just cannot find a good wide toe box mountain bike shoe that is grippy with flat pedals but not so minimal that I can feel the spikes through the shoe.

Great video thx
I just ordered a pair this morning … can’t wait to try them out ! Thanks for the feedback on them…. Even more excited to get these bad boys !!!
Nice! Really stoked you grabbed a pair. Hope you enjoy them as mush as I do. Love the handle too! Stay Golden :)
How do these compare to the teraflex 2 for rock protection underfoot?
PERFECT! Same concerns here. What pedals are you using with these?

Weird question, would these be good to wear for sports like soccer on turf or artificial grass?
That is actually a great question! They have ridiculous amounts of grip and are very responsive. So they could make a good turf sport shoe.

Heck yes! I use these daily with my fatbike with flat pedals. It is a great combo.
Awesome! Thanks for the reply!
