Funny thing is, TF2 doesn't limit it's cosmetics to just being skins. Each piece of clothing is separated by head, body and legs so you can REALLY go ham with what you wear if you wanna.
That's the reason it's a good game gemic cause, it doesn't focus on making their characters look different nor amazing, just let their players have fun by creating their own wear on each character, especially the unusuals.
5:25 Yes that's literally the Dragon Born's helmet. The game has some promotional crossover items from other games that players got as pre-order bonuses. Same with the Witcher's hair and blade for the Scout, that you saw in the Overwatch vs Team Fortress 2 video.
The hats are the big joke because that's how the game's cosmetic system started out. A significant flaw in the original Team Fortress (which was a multiplayer mod for a different game) was that it was difficult to identify a player's class, so when creating TF2 that was a high priority. The cartoonish style effectively copied by so many later teamplay games was invented for that purpose, and it seems to be why female designs for the characters (we've seen evidence work on those was done) were panned early on: there wasn't enough field data yet to show how easily players could recognize what they were looking at. So the only cosmetics early on were hats. But there were so many hats jokes were made about the development team's obsession with hats.
The neat thing about these cosmetics is that most are community made. You can see what might get in the game by visiting the TF2 workshop and cast a vote on what to be put in the game. This also includes taunts, maps, and weapon's skins. You can also vote in new proposed weapons, but Valve hasn't added any new weapons since 2017, so don't hold your breath on that.
there are alot of reffrances to items in the game , i cant reall all of them but yea TF2 has a ton of cosmetics. I was soo happy to see this! glad you enjoyed it!! The Stupendium is amazing!
There's 1820 cosmetics as of right now so the possibilities are near endless. I recommend watching TF2 Retrospective by Fawful's Minion. To get a firm grasp of what it feels like to play TF2.
heres a couple of facts to know about tf2 - the heavy named his minigun "sasha" - the scout lives in boston - the pyro can't actually make sounds that even resemble words, he just mumbles - the spy can disguise as your teammate by wearing a paper mask of them that for the enemy looks just like their teammate - bullets INSTANTLY hit you, they dont have air time - the pyro can also blast air to deflect projectiles - the demoman is such an alcholic that his body thinks that normal food and water is POISON - the medic is german and is probably mentally insane
the game has a lot of cosmetics, it's not like skins in most games, I'd say it's more like the cosmetic system in PUBG to give you an idea. generally, most cosmetic sets are composed of a headgear, a body suit, and footwear, sometimes a set will include some other accessory, sometimes it'll just be one item, it mostly falls onto the player to choose what to mix & match for whatever they want
I love the TF2 reactions, but The Stupendium also makes some absolutely incredible content, if you're interested in watching more of their stuff! Here are a few of my personal favorites: > The Data Stream (Their Cyberpunk 2077 Song) > Tune Into The Madness (Their Little Nightmares 2 Song) > The Apex (Their Hitman 3 Song) > The Ribbon (Their Alan Wake 2 Song) > Ad Infinitum (Their COMPLETELY DERANGED Deltarune song, which I'm pretty sure was just made to showcase their insane rap skills) Hope you enjoy!
I know when first heard this song i didnt know anything about tf2 nor basic inglish , so after learning alot about those two things this song hits way harder
There's a TON of cosmetics and taunts you can get in TF2 and some of them even have special fun effects (Like the Pyro goggles you can get for any character, which will give you Pyro-vision, aka, make everything look a little more akin to the fantasy world seen in Meet The Pyro) or can even be used to kill people in fun ways (like Heavy's finger gun taunt that, if timed correctly, can actually shoot people)
You shouls certainly check out some of the stupediums other works. They have a bunch of songs about loads of games, all with this level of polish and detail. Just a heads up they use They/them pronouns and ask people to respectfully use them.
pls watch "Mann's Guide to ..." Its realy great siries what talks about weapons in TF2. AND DON T WATCH HAT Stereotipes its fun, but outdated and the creator npw hates its and stigma it created

I love that! @@average-art3222
The thing is, when you wear cosmetic weapons (ex: alibaba's wee Bootys), it takes up the cosmetic slot that it equips too
@@Rhinoguymanthing cosmetic weapons? Tf you on m8
The main difference I find between TF2 and Overwatch is character background, as even through cosmetics, it can express the other classes even well

I like how tf2 isn’t classified as a normal team shooter it’s classified as a “war-themed hat simulator” which I find that pretty funny

Fun fact: there are no “skins” in TF2. These are all separate items that you can wear to make your own outfits

Is it just me or is it faster than usual
tf2 is a war themed fasion show
if you didnt watch "Emesis Blue" definetly watch that. its a long horro movie and its great.
Oh i love this one Harry101Uk does some amazing portal videos and Sutpes never misses
The fact that he paused twice during the best verse makes me angry.
You should react to bolted behemoth and then live and let spy and then the red the blue and the ugly ( they are a series)
Sounds awesome! Thanks for the recommendations!
