      I've done it a few times before, it's just about making sure it doesn't produce too much wetness in the bass and even less in the sub. You can add some distortion and then find that it doesn't distract from the bass and kick itself with some regular sidechaining

    Interesting that some people find it odd to drag and drop drum samples directly onto the playlist lol when i first started using FL back in 2011 making house music, i'd use the sequencer, but eventually noticed dropping onto the playlist allowed for quicker micro editing/adjustments rather than having to create "unique" patterns each time.
    Meanwhile, now I'm on Ableton and i use the drum rack on every production. It's definitely a workflow thing

    • @Sergio-nb4hj
      @Sergio-nb4hj 2 месяца назад +5

      I did that too when I started out making house because Martin Garrix did it 💀
      Nowadays I drop into the playlist any time I make jungle, drum & bass, or boom bap music because I realized I much prefer chopping up drum breaks with the raw waveforms rather than slicing them in the piano roll. I end up making way better grooves and crazier chops/stutters cause of it

    • @lavenderllamamusic
      @lavenderllamamusic 2 месяца назад +4

      @@Sergio-nb4hj i'm the same when it comes to chopping and slicing. Love being able to see the waveforms rather than just midi notes.
      Although, if it gives a better result to do the midi notes, i'll just bounce that to audio so i can see the waveforms

    • @1paraadise
      @1paraadise 2 месяца назад +1

      like I comment to another, when using the channel rack, the volume of whatever sound is playing in there is dropped by 10 or 20%, playlist the way if you want your drums to use 100% of its sounds, just make sure you have soft clipper, limiter, then compressor, in THIS order if you want hard drums w/o clipping, turn up high ends as well

    • @lavenderllamamusic
      @lavenderllamamusic 2 месяца назад +1

      @@1paraadise yeah that's all it is. When i learned that, i would turn the volume up to so it reached 100% of the original volume, but that's before i started using the playlist to drag and drop audio.
      In Ableton racks, the volume defaults at -12db to each sample dropped, but i adjust that to taste. Switching to ableton, my mixes became much more consistent and i can get all the levels right, unlike FL Studio where it took more fiddling for me

      I used to be the same and unorganised, I’m an ableton user I used the same colours for certain types of instruments, green for piano, blue for synths, red for bass, orange for drums, and I group tracks in each category, like melodies or vocals it’s much easier to control that way for example instead of having to mute 6 different tracks at once just to compare the melody and drums if I group then I can quickly mix easier especially if you’re using a midi keyboard too, also if you do the same colours it makes every new session/set you have or an old one you have easy to navigate and saves you so much time, find yourself a foundation cause if you don’t you’re making your life harder and wasting more time, create a template and save it as your default template that way you only have to do it once it’s easier to delete parts you don’t need rather than setting it up from the start every time. And once you have that system you’ll enjoy making music much more cause you have less time to worry about setting up and more time to be creative

    Using a loop for a base melody is not producing. The real Producer was thay guy who made that loop. He produced it. What you are showing is the easiest and laziest part of making a Beats. Oh lord, please bring back 90s and 2000s, where people had to be good at something to succeed. Even crate digging for sampled on the early stage of rap was a whole different level

    • @Sergio-nb4hj
      @Sergio-nb4hj 2 месяца назад +1

      He didn't just use the loop straight up though, he chopped it up and made it sound different. That's more manipulation than most 90s producers added to their samples tbh
      And if you want to hear modern rap heavily using sampled records, Alcemist and the Griselda Records roster are right there. Even more impressive is the WWCD album with Daringer and Beat Butcha on prod doesn't even use sampled records. All the music was made with instruments and processed to sound like sampled records.
      If you're looking for trap music with sampled records, you can check out doomshop, and the trill phonk & rare phonk subgenres. As well as UK and NY drill. People are more wild with crate digging than ever tbh

    Your narration makes it sound like, just throw all these veggies in the salad bowl, you can rough cut the lettuce. Oh and julienne the carrots real quick. Then just make a dressing that is delicious. And you’re done! No talent!

    soooo many essential clams things this beat is missing which makes it sound empty and incomplete.
