- It’s day two of my Disneyland vacation & today we are checking into the Disneyland Hotel! My first time ever staying here was INCREDIBLE. We’re starting with breakfast at one of my fave spots on property- Tangaroa Terrace.

I love that you and your Mom travel and enjoy Disney together. I just returned from a 4 day trip to WDW with my daughter and had a blast! We stayed at GF villas and Port Orleans while there and hit the Arts festival. So much fun!

We have always loved Goofy's Kitchen! Only had breakfast there, and it has been a while... the best place for breakfast is the Carnation Cafe

Those Japanese pancakes look delicious! Hotel seems amazing. Would love to go there one day. I went to DL in 2000 for a school trip but we didn't have time to really explore. And it looks like there have been many changes since then. Thanks for sharing!!
My kids grew up in Smithfield, VA so they KNOW bacon…it has been a standard family joke about “Disney bacon”…because it is all the same in every resort even on Disney Cruise Line (not good!). I’m glad to hear there is actually a good bacon on property at DL!

Fun Fact: the monorail station at the Disneyland Hotel used to be part of the parking lot, right in front of the hotel. with the reconstruction of everything to create Downtown Disney, that station kinda became orphaned.

If you ever find a reasonable rate I highly recommend a little staycation! I live down the road from Disney World but I feel like it’s just different when you get to stay on property. So much fun!

Wow it looks so nice there in a more intimate way because its smaller. I have never seen the monorail view from anyone online so it was appreciated! Food looks delish!

I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for the first time in December in the newest building. The room was great and so cool to just walk in to the park.
Disappointed they don’t give you bottles of water for the price of the room and all of the restaurants are outdoors (except for the Goofy breakfast) and it was very cold when I was there. Trader Sam’s indoor area was packed.
They would definitely benefit from a traditional quick service/ food court area like all of the WDW hotels have

Also adding Portos will make Downtown Disney very different. Even if the menu prices are 2x the regular price, food will still be significantly cheaper and I wouldn't be surprised if the convenient location cuts into business of in-park quick service
Tangaroa Terrace is actually a dining area attached to Trader Sam’s. Trader Sam’s is the inside portion of the building on the other side.
Disneyland Hotel, expensive but I have to say it’s an experience you’ll never forget👏👏👏

Yay love Disneyland hotel. I have been to Goofy’s kitchen for breakfast, and it is up there for my favorite breakfast spot in all of Disneyland. If you have not been, I highly recommend it. It is a classic Disney character meet and greet breakfast. When I went, they had goofy, Minnie, chip, dale, and Pluto, and they come around to your table and you can get selfies etc (very good for getting photos with the characters). Food was fantastic-they have the breakfast chilaquiles (like Mexican nachos-so good). Lots of pastries and sweets for breakfast (they had like a raspberry bar similar to lemon bar but raspberry, Mickey waffles, peanut butter and jelly pizza, chicken and waffles pizza. It is a buffet, but the food there was excellent when I went for breakfast

ok, we were there in December - splurge for us, and we were in the same room! Hope you also got the music to play for the headboard. Only complaint about the hotel is that the beds are too high. everyone & everything there was just magical. next time try the short rib steak & eggs - excellent.
The exact same room number!?! That is crazy.
My only complaint was that there were no outlets next to the bed. I didn’t notice that until the evening when I went to charge my phone

I love tangaroa terrace, they told us the exact guava syrup they use, and I use its great to have that at home 💜🩷💜🩷
