Partially because I don’t own one so I can’t speak on it 😂 too expensive for my pocket. But I’ll make a video comparing the specs! Biggest differences that the $300 keyboard has off the top of my head is: RGB lighting south facing might make a cleaner look, RGB lights on the side of the aluminum plate, full aluminum casing vs plastic + aluminum, higher quality foam in the case, a weighted medallion on the back (looks cool too), and patterned geographical print on the actual keyboard switches. Hope this helps!
@BourneAgainn I mean other than aluminum case and rgb lights- would they still feel the same. In the middle of trying to get one, didn't even know abt $300 one
@@damenwoodgeard there would possibly be a different feel in terms of smoothness due to the higher quality foam and lubing they do on the $300 keyboard, but can’t tell you for sure since I haven’t had a chance to mess with one yet
@@damenwoodgeard I would just go with a $175 keyboard if you never have had a high quality keyboard before. You’ll notice the difference the most. Then if you ever want to tinker with a $300 upgrade down the line, you can cop the next drop 👍🏽
Bless up🙏 I’ve been wanting the snowstone for so long now but I don’t really see myself spending 135 dollars on a keyboard as I’m saving up for my first pc rn. Good luck to everyone
Great review and streaming quality! I just bought the recent AOT 10 year collab of base 65 w/ Levi! It's my first mechanical, and this vid made me feel better about dropping the money!
Thank you and AWESOME choice! That’s the one I would have chosen too. It’s a night and day difference, super excited for you man! Let me know how you like it 🫡
I'm typing on my new keyboard and it feels amazing! I'm not 100% that the image rendered on the key caps as well as some of the other collabs I've seen, but it may just need to grow on me...@@BourneAgainn
Great video bro I like how you were very in-depth in explaining your points. I just ordered a high ground keyboard today and I'm excited for it to come.
I just won an auction for the Street Fighter Ryu x Chun Li keyboard and absolutely love the design of it. I got the keyboard for only $112 with taxes and shipping and im extremely excited about it. The past keyboards I've used are a GMMK 60%, KBDCraft by KitAdam, and an Apex Pro TKL. From all of those keyboards, what I prefer the most is a %65 percent keyboard because of the arrow keys, a keyboard that looks really good as well as sounding really good.
Ill stick with my Wooting. Only thing I look at Higround for is those keycaps. I'd love to get the Blue Eye White Dragon set but its outta stock and reselling on stockx for 250$+ which tbh im not will to spend that much on just keycaps, no matter how clean they look
Nothing against Higround, I like their work ethic but I don't see their vision in the custom mechanical keyboard space. In my opinion, you can get a much better typing experience with the same price if you buy from other companies like Akko, Varmilo, or some other brand you probably never heard of, that are beginner-friendly and offer some good prebuilt keyboard with overall better typing experiences. But I get the hype around Higround, they sell novelty and limited edition keyboards that probably needed some money for licensing that ups the price tag quite a bit, but if you're purely going off typing experience, I probably wouldn't pick one up even if I had money to burn for a keyboard.
Hey man, respect the insight! I think that’s a fair outlook on it. One of the reasons why I think Higround is successful is their marketing tactics. Dope collabs and limited drops cause a lot of hype around their product, not to mention being versatile in their merch line to compliment their keyboards. What attracted me to Higround is the ease of access to understand what keyboard modding/good quality typing experience is all about. I was always afraid to get into the space because it was such a niche thing to get into. Similar to prebuilt PCs versus building your own. Yeah you can get more bang for your buck doing it on your own, but the quality and entry to the keyboard space PLUS amazing collaborations makes Higround an easier choice for the normal, day to day consumer.
@@BourneAgainn I don't disagree with a single thing that you said, I think Higround keyboards have a certain allure to them that you just can't get from a normal stock or even custom keyboard. Their commitment to collaborations also makes them distinct from most keyboard companies out there and they're doing very well in the market they're in.
Yo I appreciate it! I’ve realized this tech niche is quite expensive to get into, but I hope to review some more really soon! Especially the Base65 keyboards that are always in stock. 🙏🏽
Yooo too kind! Appreciate that more than you know! I’ve been slacking on my personal channel as I’ve been hired to help others, but more to come! 1K subs in 2024 🙏🏽🚀
Im watching this because I want to get the new Levi keyboard and never heard of higround. Do you get to customize the board when you are ordering it or do you just buy it how it is?
You just buy it how it is. You pick the look you want and try to get your hands on it. They just released a “build your own” version of their boards that is always available I believe. Not sure if this new drop will have keycaps only, but that can be an option! Also - I’m doing a charity stream tomorrow and if we hit the goal of $3,500 I’m giving away the Levi board for FREE in this video 👀 so stop by! 7PM CST is the time I go live!
I think its the usual 7-14 day shipping process. I recieved both of them at the 14 day mark. I would assume the always available keyboards (base65 boards) would have faster shipping then their limited drops.
I’d recommend either going with option 5 or 1 in this video! Total preference and I think he does a great job with this video 🫡 ruclips.net/video/wikj2s2ZV0w/видео.html
yeah its def worth the price, if you like nice things and you aren't super casual if that makes sense. if you dont care how your keyboard feels and sounds, then i wouldnt buy it
no please no NO get a wooting 60he higround is overpriced and for about the same price you can get the wooting aka the BEST gaming keyboard I've researched it for a long time
Why do you think they are bad? I appreciate the sub nonetheless! Maybe I’m too new to the keyboard space, but I thought their build quality was really good for only 10-25 bucks more than my super plastic Ducky at $100.
@@BourneAgainn I saw someone use the white one on the series s Xbox though but I’m scared to buy the black one cause if it doesn’t work with my series X Xbox then my parents will get mad😭
