I grew up in suburban Philly as well, and it was the same for me growing up, we heard of Valley Forge, Germantown and Brandywine, with the campaign re the river forts far down the list. It seems to me for the relatively small number of American troops there, the efforts they put up were truly heroic, they did all they could. So glad more attention is being brought to this. Thanks very much, this was very interesting and informative!

I though I just concluded my research in the Occupation of Philadelphia campaign. Your lecture was an added bonus and reading your book has become essential.

even Jeramiah Greenmen seems to have spent careful considerations when recording the events in his journal.
I look forward to reading Your work.

Amazing it isn't more well known, considering all of actions and fortifications

Isnt the society of cinncinati similar to patents of nobility, handed down from father to son, which are specifically disallowed by US Const?

NO. Each member must apply on his own, nothing is "handed down". The applicant must prove his genealogical connection to an officer in the Continental Army.
