"Every single thing that you learn really just gives you more comfort. It's something I counsel kids all the time: if someone is willing to teach you something for free, take them up on it. Do it. Every single time. All it does is make you more likely to be able to succeed. And it's kind of a nice way to go through life."

The future will truly go above and beyond in terms of human evolution in technology and knowledge, and one thing for certain that the possibilities for the people on Earth to discover life on day on another planet is as vast as the endlessness of space.

I got to meet and speak with Chris a number of years ago. My daughter had hip surgery at CHLA and early one morning in walks Chris and a few others.
I looked at him and said "I know you". He introduced himself and with the title of Space shuttle commander, I introduced myself as an Aerospace worker and he immediately thanked me for working on an STS project that I was involved with at the time. Very nice man. Gave my daughter an autograph. Thanks Chris, was great to meet you.

I've never heard Chris talk like this before - really nice thoughts. With astronauts always talking about their perspective change after having viewed the earth from afar I've wondered how different our world would be if everyone had the chance to see the full circle of earth. It's such a comforting picture, the earth, those bright blues, greens, and whites. It's strange to feel proud having earth as home. As if there were another option. Anyway, I'd bet good money we'd all get along a little better if we all had that opportunity.

The smaller version of that is going on a trip, sleeping in a tent and hearing, seeing, observing, FEELING Nature. I've somehow realized before that everyone is struggling. When I did realized it it changed my perspective. It makes me unable to judge enyone for anything and I've always been the peace maker. Never taking sides because everyone has their reasons and I want the conflict to be solved without someone being wrong. Because most likely they both did something wrong and someting right.
I've been judged on just one (positive) sentence and I can't understand how someone can judge someone's entire life by on sentence, one word, one event.

My uncle is a 1 star general in us air force he married my mom sister.
My point is I come from good family and not trying to be a hater or be difficult.

I was reading the news one day online, and saw an article/video about some astronaut talking about sleeping in space as an astronaut. Later that day, I still hadn't clicked it. Eventually, for whatever reason, I clicked it and watched the video. It was Chris Hadfield. Everything he said was amazing and right and enlightening and inspiring and just so good. Now, when I see his name, I Always click and listen.

its sad and depressing - No astronaut has ever been left marooned in orbit - its the worse case failure...
