    Hi, Volo team! I just watched this video with Portuguese audio generated by AI-it’s fantastic and has been super helpful! I noticed you have other videos that don’t have Portuguese audio yet. Would it be possible to use the same technology for those as well?
    Your content is so interesting and valuable, and having it in Portuguese would make it accessible to even more people, like me, who are learning and benefiting from your work.
    Keep up the great content, and I hope you consider this idea! Thanks for sharing so much knowledge. 🙏✨

      Hey there! Glad you are enjoying the videos :) The dubbing is using RUclips's new auto-dubbing feature, so as I understand it all future videos will have it. However, there doesn't seem to be an option to force older videos to be auto-dubbed. Maybe they will do it at some point in the future? But at least all the new ones should have it!

    Hi there, I have zero experience coding. can I use this to build an app or do I need to learn to code? also if I need some coding learning to use lovable better, what would be the roadmap for a 1 week intensive learning to be able to use AI and make apps? thanks!

    • @VoloBuilds
      @VoloBuilds  24 дня назад +2

      Hey Fernando! I think Lovable is a fantastic way to get started but as with many other AI tools you could find yourself in the dreaded AI troubleshooting loop if you don't know how the code works or what to say to the AI. For this reason I think it helps to at least learn some high level coding concepts. I actually just made a video on this so check it out: ruclips.net/video/eZHsfvSLFfg/видео.html
      Also, I will be making a series called AI Coding 101 which I'll start releasing in the new year which sounds like exactly what you need, so stay tuned!

      @@VoloBuilds so, I went ahead and tried lovable for 3 days and I was unable to make my app. as you said, it gets to a point that you encounter so many problems that it cant fix and I dont have the knowledge to fix, would it be possible to connect lovable to my current wordpress website so I can use it to finetune pluggins or to create mini apps that can integrate with what I already have and thus dont having to build everything from scratch on lovable? Thank you! I am waiting for the new video haha new fan here!

      @@fernandolavado Hey Fernando! Glad you are enjoying the videos :) I am not super familiar with how Wordpress sites are managed, but if you have the code in a GitHub repo you should be able to open it up in Lovable I think. But that seems like it could be a somewhat complicated workflow. Wishing you luck with it, happy new year!

    What about replit and v0 they also have db integrations?

    • @VoloBuilds
      @VoloBuilds  Месяц назад +1

      Replit does have their DB, and after poking around a bit, I did find they also have a GitHub integration which I didn't notice the last time I tried it (maybe b/c it's pretty buried in other features). I'm not sure how well it works, but I will try that when I do a more comprehensive review of Replit. They have been doing a lot of work over the last few months, so I'm excited to revisit it.
      As for v0, yeah you could make the code you write there connect to Supabase too (any code can) - it just didn't seem to be natively supported or so well integrated. For example, Lovable wrote all the SQL and could execute it directly into Supabase which made it really smooth.

    • @VoloBuilds
      @VoloBuilds  Месяц назад +1

      I think Lovable is a great way to start especially since they connect w/ GitHub so you can take your code with you. In terms of stack, my current preference is React (vite) + typsecript backend + postgres (or mongo). I like having everything in one language - it makes it easier for myself and the AI to make full-stack changes.

    Can you ssh integrate lovable and cursor, like Replit can? Which llm is lovable using?

    • @VoloBuilds
      @VoloBuilds  26 дней назад

      I am not sure about the ssh; though you can definitely do ssh stuff with the code you pull onto your own machine. They don't state the llm but I'm sure it's sonnet-3.5 (easily the best model atm)

      @MH-xx6df 25 дней назад

    • @VoloBuilds
      @VoloBuilds  Месяц назад +1

      I think it's a great time to learn how to code; but the focus should be on building valuable products and coding as a means to that end. Also, using AI to learn and also do most of the actual coding is the best approach. I would definitely learn online - full comp sci degree will take too long and be largely irrelevant by the time you are done IMO. I share more of my thoughts in this video: ruclips.net/video/416Fs_dAIY0/видео.html

      @@VoloBuilds Mostly agree with the comp sci degree but it still seems that it is useful to be able to get into the batters box and at least have a shot. It is ungodly expensive though. It's paid off well for me but I got my degree in 2003 and have been a developer since 2008 and haven't been in the job hunting game for 6 years so it's probably a lot different now. I think it all depends on where you want to work. If you want to work for a startup the degree probably doesn't matter much. If you want to work for a big company I think they are still on the bachelor degree train.

    • @VoloBuilds
      @VoloBuilds  Месяц назад +1

      @@drummermike5150 Totally agree w/ you Mike - it depends on the situation and big companies will continue to look for degrees. But like you said, costs are rising and there's a real cost-benefit tradeoff now. I also think we will see a large shift from big companies to individuals building things and many more smaller companies or individual entrepreneurs. With big changes afoot, it pays to stay nimble!

      You should def learn to code just don’t get stuck on tutorials, learn by building something with Ai then ask Ai to explain the code it writes. Do this for a while, then try using Ai to give you a step by step outline to build an app you want to build, then try to code the first step and get Ai to check your code, correct it and explain it to you so you understand what went right and what didn’t. Soon enough you will begin to understand the code. Rinse and repeat.

    I used cursor for a whole day to create a chrome extension, it did the basic structure, but after my code exceeded 400 lines, it totally wasted a whole damn day trying to fix bugs here and there, finally i gave up, i started from scratch, and it took me 2 hours to do this by my self with some simple AI help.
    I discovered that its logic was as stupid as it could be. I do not trust any AI coding to handle the overall logic; do it yourself, then ask AI to create the functions for you.

      Yeah I'm not sure if something changed about the models, but tbh I have been getting worse performance out of Cursor / Sonnet last couple of weeks. Maybe I am getting lazy and starting to depend too much on it to do the "thinking" part as you described... But I find myself going faster if I really drive the entire development and have it just fill in the gaps and essentially auto-complete. The infinite AI troubleshooting loop is deadly though

      I have been using Cursor primarily because of the auto-complete/tab and the speed of the Chat, but I have been meaning to revisit Windsurf again given their new changes (and the fact that I'm not super happy w/ the Cursor Agents atm). Continuing to dabble in these other IDEs but also got consulting projects to wrap up by end of year 😅
