  • Crete, Greece - Paleochora
Paleochora is a small town about 70km south of Chania, on the southwest coast of Crete. It is located under the immense White Mountains and enjoys very hot summers but with pleasant sea breezes. Probably because of its distance from the airport in Chania it is fairly quiet even in high season and has retained a wonderful old-fashioned feel. Many visitors seem to return year after year. It is a great place for families and/or young adventurers, since it provides many good locations for hiking and water sports, as well as places for sightseeing such as The Acritans Of Europe Museum next to the main church and the Venetian Fortress.

+Drone Girl Frankly, it is one of those places that is hard to capture on video or photography. It is so much more beautiful if you are there. There is something in the air, in the light that does never quite fully translate into recorded images. I've tried quite often have only half succeeded with a few photos that I would consider coming a little closer to the beauty of the area.
This video is certainly one of the better ones though.
