October Bluefish at Barnegat Inlet Jetty

On Saturday, October 13, 2018 I headed over to fish the jetty at Barnegat Inlet State Park, having heard there were some false albacore (a/k/a "albies" or bonito) there earlier in the week. Alas, no albies but there were plenty of snapper and taylor bluefish to keep me occupied. My outfit is a 9' medium action Ande surf rod (rated for 1-4 oz lures) with a Penn Battle II 6000 spinning reel, 20 lb test J Braid line, and 30 lb. test Seagar Blue flurocarbon leader.
