Honestly I think zero build is much better experience. Call me a noob IDC. With how open it is, it tests your awareness and gunplay even more than build. Faster paced, no need to worry about material, as well as coming across fucking architects on cocaine. I found success in zero build playing it for the first time ever today as I haven’t touched the game since 2019, but there were several games that were definitely sweaty so it doesn’t feel boring. Fortnite’s back bruv😢

Ive literally been playing since season 4 and honestly i hate this new season ESPECIALLY for zero build I wanted the og map so badly but now that we got it I can appreciate the new ones better and I do think the new ones were better designed we were 100% blinded by nostalgia

I have an idea, I always thought like the “Fort” aspect of fortnite was lacking so I think it’d be a great idea if they had a mode where you take turns attacking and defending, on the defensive side you have a time limit to build a fort to keep the attackers out, with all the things like traps and the mounted turret and all sorts of other stuff it’d be really dope and after the round starts they could turn off all building and editing, the attackers could have a shared limited pool of lives while the defenders only have 1 life each. (Maybe there’s a creative mode of this, if so lmk) but overall I think this could be super fun

It did always seem like a bit of an afterthought to me which always caused me to not like the game. Zero Build actually makes me enjoy it.

This season is pretty rough. No heals to be found on the map and being constantly boogie bombed makes for a terrible experience.

@smqlul The problem lies within the fact that a lot of players are coming back, and most likely we'll have majority of player base playing ZB
@smqlul it still wasn't really all that balanced until chapter 2 there wasn't that many healing items so getting into multiple battles would get you severely weakened as punishment but since chapter 2 there basically is no punishment because of how many healing items they added and now we have to get used to how it was again BUT I still think it's gonna be amazing

At first when people said the map wasn't good for zero build I didn't see it but I definitely see the vulnerabilities. To get to tilted you have to go between those two hills with the river and there was no cover and I was getting shot at from both directions. In the middle of the map where it's very open and barely any cover and I got shot at in both directions and I died. What makes it better is picking up any port. Port a bunker, port a fort, port a fortress. That makes it better. This is still fun though!

Yeah my mates played the day before the og map came out and it was night and day how badly it plays on zero build- first three hours were us complaining lol about chests that were near impossible to get to and shields and health and ammo being harder to get

I think this season was a ploy by epic to remind all the OGs why the game was complete trash back then
I had this thought when they announced it. People will CRAVE chapter five evolution and changes by the end of this. That being said while I didn't play ch1 I get neat memories from 2002 era. Totally unrelated. And I like the map. But if you get jumped you lose. If you want to win constantly attack and carry utilities.

This season is pretty rough for zero build sweats. Me and my duo are normally pretty sweaty but we just didnt feel like it so since yesterday we did play like 10 hours but we were trolling eachother with boogiebombs, driving shoppingcarts and pretending to play golf. He was super excited (he is an OG, i started playing december 2022) about the old map coming back but he admitted too this map isn't made for zero build. When we need to travel for the storm we're literally scared for our lifes. We tried builds but with me never building before it was horrible lmao. Yea ig this season no unreal rank and competitive but we're gonna try to have as much fun as possible.

Thank god for zero build since I’m trash at building. However, the OG map does not play well at all for Zero Build even tho they made changes for it to be more zero build friendly (more zip lines but barely any added it seems like). No heals, crap loot, just trash. Loved it back in the day, absolutely loved it, but since seeing what they were able to make Fortnite into, this sucks
If it wasn’t for the nostalgia this season would be the biggest L in the history of Fortnite.

Yep. the reason why people left was cause of constant decimation by sweats. Now ppl THINK that the good ol days were god, but they were only good cause no one was as cracked as now. Honestly man, the map is the best. BUT having no shields and bloom is just a horrible experience. I seem to find no shields at all and bloom on full auto weapons is the worse.
Also, the pump feels super weird!

Its a great season. Already level 85 now and won my solos, duos,trios,and squads matches. Gonna be a level 250 season. And i got my mythic gold llama backbling from last season,but already working on my purple llama this season. And dropping 15 and 20 bombs.

The map is not designed for 0-build, it makes the game play way more lame, imo. So far, the only thing I can really get behind is bloom ARs and LMG being the go-to weapons for midrange. That shit rocks.

I prefer to play a map that’s a little underdeveloped for a bad mechanic than play with the bad mechanic.

That same “bad mechanic” is what helped the game stand out and take off in the first place, the same “bad mechanic” that had everyone wow’d in early tourney days, and the same “bad mechanic” that’s had more pros that you can count putting hours into everyday practicing for the last 6 years. At its inception it was just another battle royale except you could BUILD on the map, every match was different. It was revolutionary I might even go as far as to say.

Everyone is complaining about zero build to be honest the chapter 1 map is special and not meant for zero build stop complaining and let me live my memories through
Its a great game (if i was in 2017). The same way gameboy was great, or ps1. They are all PHENOMENAL!!!! But, everything ages (some are better-rare- some are worse-most of the games are worse then back then). But, i feel like the game is great, but bad for 2023. Respsct for who loves it, but i feel like a supernintendo: maybe the best of all time, but not to play for a whole month in 2023 (2 ti 3 days would be great)
I'm loving this season. But they gotta buff heals spawn rates, nerf boogie bomb spawn rates, and nerf all explosive related spawn rates such as RPGs or Grenade Launchers because those are making zero builds and builds annoying to play.
