Darkrai is better in the Master League, but still a bit of a glass cannon. After a while I decided to try Zacian but it created more problems than it fixed, so next time Master League is back I will try Zarude.
Giratina is a good tank to start with, with darkrai behind 2 shields and shadow tyranitar as the last. If you encounter a sylveon though.. Good luck lol
The short answer is money..... Stardust I recommend you find a high spawn area and learn how to fast catch (not cheating)..... Other tips are getting a Gotcha to auto catch while you have your screen off etc.... Running incense is also good since it's buff, you should get 60 or so spawns per incense... Remote or premium passes will cost money though. Aside from the weekly 1 coin remote, and daily free pass from a gym... If you cannot spend, create an alt account on another team, and make a system where you ensure you get your 50 coins daily.... It's not much but you can at least get a few free passes here and there...

But if the pokémon can go beyond the cp limit of the league you can't have both a high level and high iv. With a low individual attacking value you get the best compromise of level and iv because the attacking value affects the cp more than the defense and stamina values (because of the cp formula). Secondary the cp value should not be too far below the cp limit. That's why the best iv is not always the same.

He has an auto-catcher on. He uses one that they no longer sell. You can look up the Go-tcha, Go Plus, or the Go-tcha Evolve. Also, he lives in an apartment above some pokestops and a gym! The auto-catcher can spin stops and catch pokemon in the background.
