      @@AutoCadTipsTricks In Revit I have the student license and when printing the student plot stamp has never appeared, I have used Revit from its 2021 version onwards, I do not know if this plot stamp problem existed in previous versions. That's why I asked, I never had to do any tricks to remove the annoying stamp, at least in Revit.

    Just as an FYI, removal or circumvention of the educational plot stamp is against the Autodesk licensing agreement. You cannot use educational software for commercial purposes. Yes, there can be special circumstances. But generally, this is not allowed or legal.

    Thanks, man! It helped a lot! Why does Autodesk do it the way that you still have it even if YOU on YOUR COMPUTER have a licenced full version?! Thanks again!

    • @TheEricSchubert
      @TheEricSchubert 5 лет назад

      The answer is obvious. You want to use the software for commercial use, you need to pay for it. Using an educational license to produce anything for commercial use is not allowed or legal. Therefore, if someone makes something on an educational license, which then gets used by a company for commercial use, that's not allowed. Simple. Otherwise, you'd have companies taking advantage of summer interns with free educational software to do their work for them.

    • @chinmoy1955
      @chinmoy1955 5 лет назад

      @@TheEricSchubert The answer is not obvious, but stupid. What is obvious is that there are numerous ways to circumvent the problem, so it does not make sense to create a roadblock which does not work.
      By the way, what exactly does "educational license" mean? I suppose it is for students who are learning the software and using it for their study. If an engineering student creates drawings for his course projects, that's supposed to be legal, and in that case why should the drawing have those bold stupid lines printed?
      For the sake of the frustrated students, here is another tip - just take a printout of your drawing and simply use a pair of scissors (available freely at home and workplace) to cut out the margins containing those lines! Next you may scan it to produce a PDF or whatever....

    • @TheEricSchubert
      @TheEricSchubert 5 лет назад

      @@chinmoy1955 educational copies don't have the watermark. You get the watermark when you open files made in EDU software using a commercial version. So, students making things for their projects don't need to worry about it. People using their kids' copies at home to make stuff do.
      I love how people get all upset about companies trying to reasonably protect their assets when users are trying to get things they didn't pay for. There are free options out there. Good, legal, free options. Even Autodesk free options. (Fusion 360 for hobbyists and startups, anyone?)
      The fact that you CAN circumvent the roadblock doesn't make don't so okay.

    • @chinmoy1955
      @chinmoy1955 5 лет назад

      @@TheEricSchubert Sorry to say, you are way off the mark! I don't know what you mean by saying "You get the watermark when you open files made in EDU software using a commercial version?". I have a valid educational license for AutoCAD 2019, and when I try to print the drawings (within my legal EDU version of AutoCAD), I get the idiotic lines *"PRODUCED BY AN AUTODESK STUDENT VERSION"* printed on ALL FOUR SIDES (edges) of the drawing!
      And by the way, here we are talking about Autodesk software, that is what this video is about and that is what Dmitrii Kobylin's question is about.

    • @TheEricSchubert

      @@chinmoy1955 then you obviously got something, anything, in your drawing that must have been made using an educational copy of the program. It could be as simple as a template or a block you downloaded from the internet. If you got any piece of a drawing from an educational version, then your drawing will have the watermark. Doesn't matter what version YOU are using right now. SOMETHING came out of and EDU version at some point.
      I've seen drawings with this issue where a designer pulled something from the internet (a blog post, GrabCAD, a template made by someone else, copy/paste even a single line, wherever) and it was either from an EFU drawing or one that was contaminated with the watermark. Now you can't get rid of the watermark on any drawing made with that data. It could have happened years ago. A some years back, Autodesk switched off display of the watermark. That feature was still there, just not displayed. A year or two ago, they turned it back on. Now all those drawings could show the watermark again. So, who knows when that contamination happened. But it happened.
      It can be royally frustrating. But you need to be careful where you get your data from, because it can cause serious problems like this if you grab random stuff and use it.
      I work at an Autodesk reseller. I know all about this stuff, as I run into it often. Autodesk will not remove the watermark for you. And circumvention of the watermark is illegal according to their licensing agreements.
