Well, never having a job or really caring for her own kids, Robyn doesn't understand time constraints.
It’s so interesting to me that Robyn always blames Hunter. Hunter, the child who chose not to go to the teens pool party and instead go hang out with his infant baby sister. Hunter, the kid who was always carrying another child on his hip as a teenager. Hunter, the kid who showed up for Ysabel’s surgery and the kid who told Christine don’t drive all the way up here to see me, I will come to see you. The same kid who goes to Maddie’s every holiday to spend time with his niece’s and nephew. The reason Robin hates Hunter, he loves his siblings and his family, and as such he is a threat to her.
And he has always called her out! Hunter has seen through her bullshit from day one 😂
The older kids all see who Robyn is and won’t put up with her BS. Can’t blame them.

@@dawna1214 I know this is not at all relevant to the conversation being had, but I just have to say that every time Robyn starts whining about wanting to be on the porch with her Sister Wives, I have to laugh because my dad and I both partake in cannabis (it's legal where we are) and when we want to take a break from other people and smoke we call it "sitting on the porch in our rocking chairs". So every time she says it I have to remind myself that she does not mean that she wants Christine Janelle and Meri to sit around and get stoned w her 🤣 (although I think we all might like her more if that were in fact what she meant)

Robyn set out to destroy Kody's relationship with his kids; she did the same thing to her own kids' relationship with their biological dad.
Using the reason of "I don't want my kids to be treated differently and not be accepted as part of the family." It resulted in her kids recieving the best treatment at the expense of the rest, then when it is called out she goes back to the excuse of "you just not accept us as part of the. family!" No Robyn - open you eyes and see that you and your kids are the only ones getting the wonderful, loving, attentive Kody while the rest are treated like nothing.
I think Kody's kids with Robyn are being schooled to respect & obey Kody. That is not an advantage for the kids in the long run.@@stephw1702
I was so disgusted by Kody going with Aurora to get her ears pierced, who is 20 at the time, but used Covid as an excuse for not going to Ysabel’s surgery, who was a MINOR at the time, he is such a giant POS, & the way he refuses to take ANY responsibility for the family falling apart. Robyn is no better always playing the damn victim, & we have all figured out by the text convo that happened(which Robyn had ZERO business being involved in)was just another opportunity for her to poison her children that the fam doesn’t want to be around them, Kody & Robyn are very alike with their victim syndromes, lots of excuses, no self realization at all, what a dysfunctional mess they made, I wish TLC would stop filming them, give them both the boot & bye bye to that daily rate!

Same! Not enough viewers are seeing this tactic for what it is. Kody, yet again, making Robin and Robin's kids the exception to his own rules. No one else could have pierced ears. That somehow makes God angry? 🤔 But now (with NO sound evidence as to why now), apparently God doesn't care about holes in your ears, so it's all green lights because Kody says so. WHAT? What an unstable environment for children. And all this will do is enforce to Kody's non-Robin kids "Robin's family is always the exception." And all this time, the grand narcissist, Kody, believes he's showing "If you're loyal to me, you'll get ALL this special treatment." Pure manipulation!!!!
Sad Kody doesn't realize those who have moved on (adult kids and ex-spouses) aren't interested in anything Kody is doing, saying or offering. And THAT (whether they realize or not) drives are narcissist mad!!!! That is part of why the ex-spouses observe his change in behavior. When you have zero reaction to a narcissist, they withdraw, project and move on to more engaging sources. It's tragic, but even the children and spouses of narcissist are coldly cast aside because it's all about the narcissist.
Those kids are almost all adults and they GREW up seeing Kody abandon them for Robyn and her kids. Christine does not need to bad mouth the kids to Kody....they were there...they have eyes.

THIS!!!! Let's put aside the blatent favoritism, Kody ignoring all of Christines kids including bailing on Ysabel's surgery and all the money going straight to Robyn's mcmansion - even tho any ONE of those things is enough in my opinon.
Kody went to Christine and straight up told her that he was NEVER attracted to her, that he wasn't in love with her and that he wouldn't give her any romantic or physical affection EVER AGAIN.
Like even if all the other BS wasn't enough to end a marriage- that would be it right there. I love my partner more than I've loved anyone ever. But if they came to me and said that they were no longer attracted to me and that any romance or intimacy was over I'd be like 'Okay- so I guess I'm going to move my sh^t out. Have a nice life.'
Let alone if we had kids they were abandoning and they had another wife at another house all the money was going to. It's so frustrating because if Kody got a new wifey and left Robyn like he did the OG 3 you KNOW Robyn would just be done. It's such BS.

Robyn ruining what should have been a bonding experience with all the kids is on brand for her. Telling her kids they're rejected when the discussion was about a gift exchange in which they were included. How does the adult kids not being free to get on a zoom call translate into a rejection? She's a professional victim
And the didn’t say no. They just wanted to schedule it for a time that everyone could do it. There is a huge difference between a text thread convo and being able to zoom right and that exact moment with 20 people at the same time. A bunch of the kids are in school, working, have kids, etc. expecting 20 adults to jump because she said so is just not fair to anyone

I’m interested to see Robin’s reaction in the future when her and Kody inevitably have some big fight and he begins to blame her for the demise of the family.
You know that Kody has never yelled at Robyn the way that he has at the other wives, let alone speak to her disrespectfully in front of the other wives. He’s done plenty of things to Christine, right in front of Robyn and on national television, that I would consider dealbreakers.

Robyn was jealous that the kids wanted to be friends and she has no one except her “best customer “!
Logan, the oldest, started a group chat with ALL of the adult kids, including Robyn’s 3 adult kids. They were doing just fine until one of the kids (Mykelti, Aurora, Briana?) suggested that they let the parents know. Robyn jumped in and tried to hijack the conversation for her personal agenda. Robyn blew it up. Robin wanted everyone on a same-day Zoom with all 5 of her kids. The adult kids couldn't make it happen (work, childcare, time zones, life). Robyn flipped out about her kids being excluded again. Then the infighting among the kids started. Old hurts and pains were aired. As Janelle has said, some things were said that can’t be unsaid. Some of the relationship splits are permanent. Robyn is tone deaf and just can’t read the room.
Robyn, the youngest kids in a polygamous family rarely have strong relationships with the older kids. It is up to you as their parent to make sure that they know the names and faces of their older siblings. You signed your younger kids up for this. It's on Robyn. Robyn is reliving her own childhood traumas of being excluded by her step-dad's 'other family' and recreating the trauma for her own children.
Bingo!!! Life would have been soooo different if Robyn had been a cycle breaker. I'm glad most of Kody's older kids chose that path.

I'm actually not mad about the idea of looping in the parents, mainly because Truely, Solomon, and Arie likely aren't old enough to participate without parental support, and it would have looked like they were deliberately excluded if Robyn's older kids got to participate but they didnt. Therefore letting the parents know was actually the best way to be inclusive. But yup, seems Robyn really blew things out of proportion and caused a bigger fracture than originally existed.

This episode clarifies Gwen's statements on her Patreon about Robyn dividing her kids from the other Brown children. Paedon also said that even in Vegas, K was spending the majority of his time at Robyn's. On last night's episode Christine said all these issues go back 12 years.
Did you notice that he didn't want to go back to their most recent therapist; He wanted to go back to their older therapist. The one who "specializes in polygamy " not the one who held him accountable.

Why doesn’t TLC re-air the clip where Christine offered to care for Robyn’s kids and she doesn’t even respond. I think Kody and Robyn need to see that again and be called out on the way they accused Christine of not caring about Robyn’s kids.
What does the nanny do was in response for Christine’s kids wanting to go over to Robyns but not allowed. Gabe or Garrison also called Robyn wanting to see their siblings.
The only ones putting others down are Kody and Robyn. And that has been consistent for years. Robyn really has had an agenda against some of the other kids and I’d dare say SHE is the one that poisoned Kody against his kids.

What an episode! Kody is unhinged and Robin is delusional!! The footage of the ear piercing was hard to watch. Kody so excited to take Aurora to the appointment. Then he admits he has no idea when his other daughters got theirs done. What a slap in the face to his other daughters. He thinks that scene is going to show how great he is to them when they give him respect. So I guess all of his children never gave him respect except for 6 of them.

The scene with Kody and Aurora was uncomfortable. She is 20 yrs old but acts like she's 12. Kody all excited and giddy was weird. I would think that is really hurtful for his other children to see. I really wish Christine would have flat out said "No"when he mentioned break up counciling!! Like she said she doesn't have to help him do anything. I agree that whole scene with Cody and Aurora was very uncomfortable, bordering on incestuous. He was like a giddy boyfriend not a father.

I got a creepy vibe when Kody was talking about Aurora and the ear piercing trip, less father/daughter experience, more guy going shopping with pretty friend and having her mom come along. Weird.

This recap was great. John was on fire. I can’t get my partner to watch Sister Wives with me anymore and none of my friends watch it, so I love these recaps and knowing I am not alone in my thoughts on these people.
The whole ears piercing thing was kind of uncomfortable and creepy to me, and pretty much highlighted the fact that the men in their religion are the ones who have control over women and more specifically their physical bodies

It was totally creepy.
It was uncomfortable for many reasons, but the biggest one for me was him saying it was a "daddy-daughter" experience. She's an adult step- child. Using "father-daughter" would have made the situation ˢˡᶦᵍʰᵗˡʸ more appropriate. That word choice really shows how he views his relationship with her. He's her "daddy," and she's his "little girl." Meanwhile, his other adult children can eff off for all he cares.
This is also the same daughter featured in kody's covid story. Aurora was the only one who didn't have covid, so she had to stay on the other side of the living room. This was too much for both Aurora and kody, and they cried tears as they "shouted across the room" that they missed each other. Kody even teared up again when he was retelling the story for the show. The whole relationship is unsettling.
I’ll betcha Robyn gives Kody his perms. It would only make sense that in addition to being an excellent communicator and counsellor, she is also a hair stylist-to-the-stars.
He used to go to a special stylist awhile ago on the show. Haven’t seen if he still goes to her.

When that didn’t cause an up-tick in her appointment schedule-or perhaps when she read on the online critiques of Kody’s ‘do-she wanted to be paid for her services. And that’s when Robyn decided to take over.
(This entire scenario is based upon absolutely nothing but my imagination. 😜)

This was So sad to watch how much kids were affected by Kody’s and Sobin behaviour. Can’t stand them.
They said Logan presented the sibling gift swap to his siblings then at some point someone suggested they add the parents to the conversations. After the Zoom suggestion there was a blow up on the family chat. Eventually Robyn's kids said they felt unsafe participating in the gift swap.

I heard a theory and i think it makes a ton of sense. TLC won't film inside Robyn's house because they aren't vaccinated. At that time, that was a requirement for a lot of employers.

Yes they do self filming. Only the first Thanksgiving was from 2020 and there was COVID going on. Also they filmed Kody and Aurora in a tiny room getting ears pierced. And they filmed them in Janelle’s trailer with Robyn’s girls mocking Savannah. The indoor wedding Kody went to. The crew’s rules are as inconsistent as Kody’s.

Kody told Christine the way he was going to treat her. No sex, no relationship, nothing from him after the significant way she mothered his kids for one. He dumped her & she was to continue to contribute financially to him & Robyn. He never loved her. Kody is a monster. Christine should have left that abuse years ago.

Jenelle only came back to the marriage after the last time she left for her kids but she was emotionally done, that’s why they always say they are just best friends. I guarantee jenelle would’ve left kody before Christine if she was financially able to. She made a comment when Christine left that she’s in a bad position because if she were to leave nothing is solely in her name unlike Christine who had the house. Jenelle has been slowly planning her exit for a long time. I guarantee Kody purposely kept things out of Jenelle’s name and was messing with her money because she’s the only one who left him before.

He’s a homophobe, transphobe and racist. He is an adult who has access to the internet and uses it widely yet he makes a decision to promote hate speech and bigotry toward others. His misgendering of his own sibling is emotional abuse that could lead to so much worse.

My whole theory about the adult children gift exchange is that Robyn wanted her little kids to be included and was forcing the zoom call to push them front and center. It wasn’t an adult children sibling exchange. Savannah, Truely, Sol and Ari would have been included. All were minors 2021 Christmas. A year before Truely had a phone. One would think Sol would have access to one by now. But they didn’t recognize anyone last Xmas. You would think that would tell the parents something. Clearly David or Aurora could have helped the little ones. Just like Gabe could have helped Savannah and Gwen help Truely. It’s like every couch scene. Robyn has to control the conversation. It’s a quirk of hers. Don’t Robyn and Kody have photos of these people? Why aren’t there photos of them all around the house he lives in?
Is there anything Robyn doesn't insert herself in? Others counseling, the kids Christmas swap. Gee, if Robyn had exerted this energy into integrating her kids into the Brown family, things might be different. But that wouldn't get her a separate house with nanny and no job, would it.
In one of her recaps, Gwen mentioned that Robyn always wants to save some moments for the camera. She probably knew that a zoom call could be filmed for the show and would give her and Kody a more solid storyline. All of the kids know how she operates and were not about to give in.
I wondered if that wasn’t it. A nice moment of Robyn “coordinating” the whole thing to film for the show.
I think in this episode we for sure saw how the adult kids are moving forward without Kody, and how they understand that its his job to reach out to them or vice versa and it isn't at least any longer(or was it to begin with?) their mothers jobs to do it for them - and from clips, it overall sounds like they're ok with their not being a relationship if its going to be unhealthy

So many people said this episode was boring but I loved the insight into what happened with the kids. It’s like a curtain is being lifted and we’re finally getting the true history. Meri could not even get into the house to talk about thanksgiving. Did she feel rejected and excluded and bullied, according to Robyns logic should have. Why wasn’t thanksgiving at Meri’s. Robyn did 3 holidays now at her house.

The part where Robyn made the comment about not seeing any deal breakers with Kody and Christine's relationship had me speechless. I literally shouted at my laptop. I was so happy to see Christine say it was Kody's responsibility to maintain relationships with his children and that she would not do anything for him anymore! That was amazing. The ear piercing storyline was so gross to me. The way Kody made it all about him and really his control over her body. Everything about it was gross. Thank you to John for making that comment about Kody's hair. I was thinking the same all episode.

Though Christine has relocated from her old Flagstaff house it's like a form of after-the -fact stalking. Robyn saying the younger kids don’t remember the older kids actually makes sense. My dad comes from a big family with 10 kids and the youngest of his brothers once asked who the oldest brother was when he was little since the oldest had already left the house. You have to make effort to spend time together too fix that. My dad and his brothers are best friends from years of spending time together. So that’s just something that the younger kids can grow into having that familiarity.
My granddaughter knows family she has never met but we talk about them in front of her and show her pictures

Even if you took Robyn and her kids out of the equation completely - pretend they never existed - Kody would STILL be an absentee father. 13 biological children living under the same roof (more or less) and he never had individual interactions with ANY of his children. I’m sure that in the polygamist world, that’s pretty normal - but along comes Robyn and suddenly he’s attentive to a singular wife - all the time vs just on birthdays/anniversaries - and he makes it a point to interact with both his adopted and biological children with Robyn.
Robyn may have been the catalyst, but Kody is 100% responsible for the breakdown of his family. Being on the show just allowed the rest of the world watch the implosion as it happened. It was a dumpster fire long before filming ever started…

You hit the nail on the head. Every family has to accommodate multiple family traditions over the holidays. But it does require everyone plan together. Some families have had 2 or more Thanksgivings gatherings to accommodate all their families.

Many of us have experienced relationships with narcissists, including myself, which got me thinking. Obviously, Robin and her kids get the majority of Kody's attention. She is the favored wife. But that in no way means Robin has a fulfilling relationship with Kody. It doesn't mean Kody is a good husband to her or a good father to his kids. It just means (to me) Robin's household (for various reasons) tolerates Kody's mantrums and manipulation more than the other households. Robin's children appear rather familiar with codependent dysfunction. And if this is true, those poor children. 😢
Narcissistic patriarchy is often the cookie-cutter pattern for families in their religion. Kody is "normal" in that environment. His actions are not out of the norm in that realm. His actions, etc ARE bang out of order among the general populous, thus what he is facing from his older (adult) children. THAT is why Kody "lost control of" his family. They're calling out the dysfunction and he (Kody) can't face it.

Something I kept thinking about is that Maddie had Kody officiate her wedding, her daughters middle name is Kody. How heartbreaking to go from a good (in their eyes) relationship with your dad, to him being totally estranged 😢
I don’t believe Kody ever lived polygamy, his father only had children with Kody’s mom, Kody’s dad married his second wife when Kody was on a church retreat, she was in her 50’s with no children. Kody’s dad married Janelle’s mother after Kody had already met Janelle, Wynn did not have children with her and the children she had were all grown, so…… Kody never really new anything about polygamy!
It makes me really upset that Robyn says some people didn’t welcome them into the family. Ma’am are you speaking about the teenagers who had big changes in their lives while their brains and emotional intelligence didn’t exist?! Of course teenagers were upset by your family integrating, they are in fact teenagers.
It always seemed to me in the past the plural marriage relationships - Kody the husband & the 4 wives were more enmeshed with each other than their kids. Not saying the Moms did not love their kids. But everything was filtered thru the marital relationships.
The kids had to adapt to stuff that their parents decided to do for themselves. The kids are moved around here & there. It was especially shocking when they all have to pull out of Vegas where teens had schools & friends & go to Flagstaff. Kody had no consideration of what was best for the kids overall. Robyn wanted to move & all of the wives & kids had to move.
Kody can fall in love with a younger wife after decades of 3 wives & bring her 3 kids from a divorce & have 2 more with Kody & all the kids are required & expected to adapt & be happy about adult decisions. Kody got his lust/love he wanted. It's all about Kody & what he demands & wants. The 5 adults decided putting their lives on TV with all it's warts & failures was a great idea for the adults.
The kids were traumatized by moving from schools, home, friends and family. Robyn's family lived in LV
This! It makes me crazy that Robyn blames the kids for not being welcoming to her family in the beginning. Anytime you are blending families it's the responsibility of the adults to foster those relationships and to understand that they don't happen overnight. Just because Cody and Robyn fell in love doesn't make that love automatic for the kids who didn't get a choice.

My two kids live without that grandfather also. Heartbreaking but we move forward with good therapy and healthy optimism!

One meaty part I think people are missing is when in the restaurant Kody starts to talk about his anger with "venom & vitriol". and She starts to repeat his words. "So sometimes you hate me. It's okay." To which he starts to try and look like he's... thinking? (Could also be passing gas). She then says something to the effect that he doesn't have to pretend.
Then he says, "I think it gives you satisfaction if I DID hate you!"
She says, that would be heart breaking, BUT....
It cuts to her saying that he thinks about her less than she thinks about him, and she doesn't think about him at all... "Oh My Gosh!"
And there it is. She's realized it's all just some BS manipulation.
His pain, his anger, his hard feelings it's all just pretend, it's all BS.
And then she starts to just say, you don't have to pretend.
Then he laughs, signs FU to her face, and starts to blame the big "pitcher" being lost on her. Etc.etc.
As far as the earring thing goes, he went real "Warren Jeffs" trying to control them and their appearance. And of course it was Christine's thing that she loved. Robyn comes along and suddenly it's actually ok, and now he likes it! 🙄 ick.
I guess it sounds like he's admitting that he isn't actually upset or hurt, hasn't been stabbed in the kidneys, or really been upset by his kids being so far away.
