hmm, it definitely mentions CarPlay and Android Auto under the Sync3/Phone section on your online manual link (which my car's instruction manual does too), I've recently updated from Sync 3.3 to 3.4 through the Ford website, the Preference option for both CarPlay nor Android Auto are not visible onscreen either before or after the update. How do I reinstate it?
Is the android or iphone connected using a genuine USB lead (please ensure to use the USB that came with the phone to be sure, if Android you may need to install Android Auto app in Google play store before this work work. Once your phone is connected to the car via USB it will lily ask for permissions before the android auto settings will activate on the screen of your car. ^Aaron
it's Android Auto I'm trying to activate, I'm using the original USB cable that came with the phone, it's a Xiaomi Mi10t Lite, I'm awaiting a different (third party) USB cable to try as I've read on Google that people have had issues with data connectivity using the original cable., i just expected to see the Android Auto Preference's icon in Sync3 on screen before hand. Android Auto is already installed .. I'll see how the new USB cable performs when it arrives
