I’ve said it a hundred times there’s a difference between a collection and a working fleet of tractors. Every tractor on my place gets used around the farm. When they’re used they are going to have scratches and dents and faded paint. I’m definitely looking forward to the chisel plow video. 👍
My Dad always taught me to push the clutch in before starting, to ensure it is not still in gear and was easier on the starter as your not turning the transmission over also

Here in East Tennessee we call that a "Hill Side Plow". It allows passes back & forth throwing down hill both directions. That way the upper tire is in the furrow limiting tipping.
I know exactly what you mean about using a pipe wrench for the sediment bowl. I have a new to me 1966 140 that hadn't been run in 8+ years. I had to use one almost all the way to get it out. Got'er done though.

I always do use thread sealant on the sediment bowls. I like take the old sediment bowls apart and put them in the ultrasonic cleaner and with a new gasket, the old sediment bowls come out better than anything you can buy as a rule. I replaced a couple of sediment bowls with the same thing you're getting for your tractors. The one on my Super W-6 has been great and the one I'm using on my W-4 has been terrible. It always leaks when I shut the gas off, no matter how much I tighten the packing nut on the valve. Battery cables are easy to build. I always build my own and you'll have no trouble doing it.

@@FarmallFanatic Is it drying out enough your way to plow? My neighbor finished planting 90 acres of corn Friday before the wet set in Sat night. Your big field would look great with foot high clover. Be careful with that plow turning. They do it very quick and can hurt you.
I like to add those stand pipes from Stiner that are made of fine screen and Wix has a filter that goes inside the bowl. Dont have that filter number memorised. They can be expensive.
The problem with plow days is that I'm there mainly to video... And I can do all my own plowing in my own fields, so it doesn't seem logical to take a tractor to plow days...but I might one day
The top link on our 656 Farmall is mounted 180° from how you have yours on the 806. The "handle" for adjusting the length is away from the tractor, instead of against the tractor. Wouldn't think it would work well against, as there isn't as much room to turn it around.
On that two-way plow that you have the turnover plow, there should be a depth wheel on that if your tractor is not set up with the draft control, you’re gonna have a hard time getting it adjusted going through the field so I would look on see how you could put a depth wheel on it that way every time you turn the plow over you adjust that depth that will keep it from floating init makes it easier to pull

A quick count in my head reveals that I now have 13 gas tractors around here. HOw did that happen? Anyway, 1, ONE, didn't need the sediment bowl replaced.
I've totally gave up on them sediment bowls.. I run ball valves with in line filters.. I had better luck with it.. again she's ur tractor u can do what u please I still enjoy the videos
@FarmallFanatic ive never had that issue with water.. but again I try to fill my tanks full before winter and I usually drain then each spring and put fresh stuff in the tank..and run the olw wintery gas threw the lawn mower her and there
I have a factory rollover plow for my Allis CA which is equivalent to size of Farmall A. It’s the same size as that plow. It only requires side weights and inner front wheel weights. 14” bottoms. Pulling it is cake. It’s lifting it that requires weights.
@@FarmallFanatic it actually only gets classified as a 4 due to 2 different bottoms. Left and right. You’re still only pulling 28” wide. So it’s not really any different than pulling a 2 bottom in the means of width and power needed

So that takes a standard 8 inch cylinder to rotate the plow? You ever think of painting some diesel on it to start working into the wear surfaces before you start to try to get grease in it?
I like removing the tins to run new wire as you never know what someone did inside routing something wrong the last time it was worked on. That plow is going to be fun to run Lesgo brandon
Equipment maintenance is very important if you don't stay on top of it your Equipment won't last witch is bad news for the guys who like the classics because they are not making them any more and there's getting to be less and less of them every day
I disagree with your opinion on the plow. Yes you need a bigger tractor to handle the weight. But at the end of the day you have 2 bottoms in the ground. Your NOT pulling 4 .

We had a 400 Diesel, started on gas and switched over to Diesel once warmed up. Lot of vibration LOL, but great fuel economy.

I have used a pipe wrench on the fuel sediment bowls but usually I try to use a wrench on the sediment bowl just below the threads.

I got my eye on a few things

I always do use thread sealant on the sediment bowls. That sediment bowl was sure tight. .. but you got it, I always end up tight when installing and need another 1/2 turn to align the fuel line,
I think it was the original...It was due for a new one

I took my whole dash off and cleaned out 60+ years of dirt and oil/grease and it was not fun but at least it is clean now
