The fact that 173 doesnt kill you in the beginning.
Why the MTF at Gate B are more Trigger Happy than the MTF at Gate A. And also why the MTF at Gate A wouldnt even shoot at the D class considering the MTF inside will gladly.
Why are some parts of light locked behind the elevators.
Why the code at the glass chamber area is written for something in heavy. The fact you need a code instead of a card to skip 860.
The fact there is an Scientist possessed by 035, but the door wasn't left open.
Why theres a zombie in the medical room in entrance.
Where is 096's containment? Why is he in the server room, and why would the guard not hear him before seeing his face?
The fact 173 can spawn in elevators despite them being closed.
      Etc.

SCPs aren't meant to be "teammates" in SCP CB, its everyone for themselves, the reason why 173 can open doors is because it is accidentally touching the door button, instead of 079 opening it for him. 079's only goal is to escape by uploading his code into a stronger computer then uploading himself into more things like the internet. The reason why he helps you is because you disabled his remote door control systems in the security center in entrance so he cannot control the facility anymore. You make a deal with 079 to unlock the gates to let you escape.

  • @foxtrot1062
    @foxtrot1062 Год назад +1834

The lore of the game is that all the sites were attacked by the Chaos Insurgency, this forces the Foundation to move all the SCPs to the facility of the game which was designed to be easy to breach and infiltrate by the CI. SCP-079 doesn't team up with you because he wants to, he does it because you disabled his door control which basically contains him to a degree. 939 being in the basement is because again this facility isn't designed for containment so some SCPs have to be stored in odd places. 035 is a danger to 682 because he wants to use him as a vessel, 079 is buddies with 682 so he doesn't want this to happen. There is multiple SCPs that are allowed to roam sites or be used by staff, 294 doesn't need to be contained so long as staff are responsible with its use. As for the only bathroom, well there is multiple rooms that are out of the players reach so for all we know there could be more bathrooms and containment chambers that we cannot access.

To explain one of your questions, SCP’s aren’t classified by danger but by “ease of containment.”
So 173 is Euclid and in Light since he’s somewhat easy to contain since you just have to look at him and cage him and he can’t really leave his cell as there’s no way to, so it’s quite easy
But 106 is in Keter since his cell has to be constantly maintained, high security, and the fact that due to his powers he can just easily walk out. All that means hard or expensive containment which means higher rank

I need to cover some things up here as a SCP fan:
    1. Yeah you are right on this one.
    2. Light Containment is where the Class D (the main character is a Class D) are kept. It is put further away from entrance because the game developer wants the game to be harder, making it so you are FORCED to go through Heavy Containment, otherwise the only threat would really be MTF and SCP 173, making the game really easy.
    3. SCP 173 is stored in light containment because it is easy to contain and rarely breaches. The only way it could get out is by someone opening the door or a test gone wrong.
    4. If someone was to communicate or interact with SCP 079, it could lead to HUGE problems. You see, its containment is specially designed so 079 can't interact with the facility. If he got normal containment, 079 could just hack the security cameras, mess with the lights and open the doors to every door in the facility. In fact, the whole reason the mass containment breach happened is because a Chaos Insurgent spy interacted with 079 and got him to open the doors to all the SCP's doors, which is why 173 got out in the first cutscene.
    5. The SCP 939 instances were there at the start of the breach. They were being transported to the site in specially designed containers for them, and broke out of them whilst all the panic of the other SCPs breaches indued.
    6. SCP 079 had intentions of killing ALL the personal, not just the main character. He then discovers the main character's use when you meet up with him and teams up with you.
    7. SCP 079 isn't going to waste time on SCP 035, because he knows that MTF or Security Personal are going to easily gun him down. However, SCP 173 can't just be shot and done with, same with pretty much every other SCP.
    8. SCP 079 may be able to open doors, but he can't see people who are anomalous and people who are not. The main character looks like any other normal human being.
    9. Ok. I am pretty sure that SCP 682 can break through concrete if he can bring down a helicopter with his tail and plus (I am not sure if this is true) there is a door in the roof that MTF use to drop him in his containment if he breaches.
    10. I am pretty sure that survivors of the main containment breach of all the SCPs got a Class D to go in the femur breaker in an attempt to re-contain SCP 106, but left as a random SCP attacked them, leaving the Class D by himself.
    11. Like I said above, they raised the cube in preparation for the re-containment.
    12. It literally says on the sign next to it. It is guarded by two security, which have fled because of the mass containment breach. SCP 294 is used to get unlimited drinks, hence why it is in the cafeteria.
    13. The Tesla gate is for SCPs and Class D escaping. There have been files that say about SCPs that have walked into the tesla gates and the big amount of efficiency.
    14. It's for decoration.
    15. Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Of course they are going to have a logo! For a guy who talks about logic, he seems to be lacking some of it himself.
    16. Good point. Pretty sure the staff just unload in their pants.
16 points instead of 11. Yes, I did spend some of my life writing this chunky comment, because it infuriates me that this guy is making fun of SCP containment breach for the 'lack of logic', yet he can't see the reason why they need a logo! Tip: Do your research before you post a video on youtube.

6:43 I think it’s because it’s not SCP-106’s containment chamber 𝘺𝘦𝘵. Since, if I remember correctly, 106 goes through walls and leaves behind a kind of corrosive sludge. It’s less “going through walls” and more “breaking down the walls”, i.e. once he breaks out of his chamber, that chamber is now useless. It’s more likely the containment chamber we use in-game is the secondary chamber the Foundation tried to use to recontain 106 again before all hell breaks loose

In the case of 682 for example, they know they cant actually contain it. Only to amuse it enough to be interested enough. They can and do weaken it constantly. But even that is unstable at best.
Generally speaking it is on how hard recontainment is, but the Overall danger it has is still factored in when giving the classifications.

Also, the player has shown to be able to survive quite a lot throughout the game, so I'd assume 073 (who has been monitoring them) would assume killing you wouldn't be easy and unlocking the gates would be the easier option.
Also, he directs you to gate B (which results in you dieing), so he does try to kind of kill you, and I presume he also opened gate A because the lock/unlock function of the gates are on the same system (probably some quarantine system or such) meaning that he couldn't individually lock or unlock a certain gate, but can only lock/unlock both at the same time.

    • @dumb214
      @dumb214 11 месяцев назад

SCP-294 can actually kill. ordering a "Cup of Joe" will cause internal damage to the closest person who's called "Joe". Ordering a cup of "Surprise me" caused it to dispense water heated to 200 degrees, which when moved will spray boiling water in a radius of 2m which can cause burns.
also, ordering a cup of "Antimatter" might just obliterate the entire site.
it's still considered "Safe" because as long as nobody does anything stupid, it's safe, and it's easy to contain because it doesn't require maintenance and doesn't move, so it doesn't need to be in containment. you can't steal it either.

if i remember correctly the ability the D-class (and former researcher) we play as stems from his research in something called "Spiral Gestalt" which gave him immortality. Considering how the foundation likes to log any sort of findings they uncover, its possible that when 079 breached and gained access to the foundation's systems it absorbed all the information in the foundation's databases, including Spiral Gestalt and what happened with D-9341. Also considering the speed at which something like an AI could process files also makes it more plausible that it read through all of those files prior to encountering D-9341 in the game.
That's just a speculation though since obviously this isn't proven anywhere. 079's motive for releasing SCPs is pretty clear, either out of a state of revenge or maybe for the purpose of contacting D-9341 specifically, but like you said its a lot more convoluted when you involve other things like him actively helping 173 as it tries to attack you, and not doing anything about 049 or 106.

Quick question: how can 079 open the doors for 173 when his door controls have been taking away?
      He can't.
173 probably (accidently) hits the button for the door whilst rubbing up against a wall.
Also, it'd be hard for 079 to breach containment himself without any distractions. If I were him, I'd want the foundation occupied with other stuff (like becoming zombies, getting their neck snapped or getting taken into a pocket dimension) whilst I'd search for a internet connection.
Lastly, 079 never does anything that would make the player meet him, in the game, it's more the player who confronts him in the hopes of 079 unlocking the gate. The player also never does anything that would benefit 079 nor is there even the slightest hint as to anything he could do that would benefit 079.

Relating to the "why have doors big enough to fit 682", well, it's quite simple. You just need access to the chamber to conduct maintenance. And believe me, doing maintenance in a chamber with a giant talking lizard which wants to kill you is not a simple task. That's why you would want to trasnfer it between at least two chambers, so that at all times, one is in use, why others are being repaired, updated or otherwise worked on.

The way SCPF levels entities is their Difficulty to contain but sometimes their Danger level as well. 173 is in LCZ because it’s easy to contain, and you only need 3 people to successfully counter it, but 079 is an AI that can upgrade and adapt, and it was found because it got so powerful it tried to hack a nearby undercover site while trying to look for a powerful computer as its current body wasn’t strong enough to keep working. 079 is sentient with an intelligence higher than the regular human and as you can see in SCP:CB, was able to cause a code white containment breach even without any upgrades. If his attempt to move to another computer was executed successfully , 079 would have been able to unleash chaos all over the world! Meanwhile 294 is a vending machine with one anomalous property. Just one. The ability to produce any liquid you could think about! Which if you think about it, can be dangerous. But during regular days, is carefully monitored but if needed and possible can be relocated in an emergency.

On computer monitors scattered around the facility, such as SCP-1499's containment room, you can find messages about the "modular design theory/project". This was designed by Dr. Maynard, who was a Chaos Insurgency agent who helped cause the breach. He wanted the facility's design to be worse for easier raids and easier containment breaches. That's what I got from the different messages on those monitors, but I might be incorrect.

lol, that's a really good point you bring up. Throughout the years, authors have added additional MTF units that actually specialize in containing specific types of anomalies. Some of my favorite are The Mole Rats, The Haz Matters, Hammer Down, and Village Idiots, to name a few. I think the lack of diverse MTF units in SCP: CB was both a technical limitation on the dev's part, but also could've woven into the underlying lore that the breach was an inside job, and so external parts of the Foundation had no idea the extent of the breach and so sent only a handful of Nine-tailed Fox units.
