Thanks for sharing, Norm. That mag speedworm is my favorite. Those were some beautiful fish. Good job!
Thanks Dave 👊
Very nice bass Norm , I fish that way most of the time and do good with it. God bless
Thanks Bert. It's a great way to catch them 👍
This is very helpful for new anglers like myself, trying to get as much knowledge to catch fish . Great video!
zVisionz, glad it was helpful 👍
I love me some speed worms! My last video at Garcia I was using a jackhammer for a bit, but 9 out of the 10 or so bass I caught were all on speed worms with a 1/8oz black bullet weight...It's the easiest lure to fish in my opinion, especially since it's usually just a steady retrieve, and you can fish it like a culprit or other worm just dragging/bouncing it off the bottom if the bite is slow.
I hope to meet you out there some day! I go to Garcia/Blue Cypress a lot but I haven't fished headwaters yet! I'm in Fort Pierce so it would take me ~45 min to get up to headwaters...I'm definitely going soon though once it warms up a little bit! Tight lines Norm! 😁
Speed worms are hard to beat. I have caught some giant at Garcia with them. See you on the water.
You and a few other fellow great YT fishing teachers convinced me to try speed worms
But good Loard they are popular in my area as NOBODY had them left in stock and they were 2x more expensive at Amazon VS my local Cabelas or BPS
So I orderd some from Cabelas along with some tungsten bullet weights and different styles 5/0 hooks from Gamakatsu and Owner Ive already invested well over $100 in speed worms without even getting one wet yet
Next off day I will see what I can do with them as most of my favorite bass lakes are 70% weed and lily flats less than 10' deep perfect for fan casting a speed worm
Lakes by me get SOOOO much fishing pressure when I catch a bass I try to get her unhooked take a pic and back into the water ASAP and I dont really get to admire her beauty that much pics are nice but don't really due a basses beauty justice
Thankfully 8/10 fisherman I see at my favorite lakes have no idea whatsoever how to correctly fish these lakes so the bass fishing is still very very good there are only a handful of methods to effectively bass fish thick weeds and pads and Im shocked how few people I see at my lakes use them
I wish you luck. These worms will definitely catch bass 👊
Nice catches!! Good instructions too. Nice giant bass!!
Thanks Lyndia! I am trying to catch them like you 😀
Tried and tested baits. I love speed worm fishing. You can drag a big white one around structure for Snook too! They eat em up.
Thanks Bobby! Will have to try a white one 👍
My BIGGEST at Headwaters to date is 8 3/4lbs on a Watermelon Red speed worm. Another great video Norm. See you on the water.
FloridaCajun772, 8 3/4lb is a monster fish 👊
Good stuff Norm. Love this whole video
Jon, greatly appreciated 👊
Great stuff norm. Its been raining around these parts (in new el niño) I guess the cooler water is making for good bites! Keep m coming!
Manthings, will do👊 the rain definitely helps the bite ✅
Great video Norm...keep em comin.
Paul, Much appreciated 👊
Great video Norm👍
Off the Hook Outdoors, much appreciated 👊
Another great video, I guess your at Headwaters. I use mono, and braid, not using fluorocarbon, as much. Talked to several guides, flouro isn't as important, in Florida. Don't use the magnum, as much as the smaller size. But willing to try. Thank you,
David, the magnum size will get bigger bites. You will still catch some smaller fish... but the big worm will draw the big fish. Thanks for the post.
Well done my friend.👊👍👍👍
Much appreciated 👍✅👊
🔥🔥
Greatly appreciated 👊
WAY 2 GO" from IDAHO! HOT TIPS BIG TOADS!!!
Much appreciated 👊
Hope a gator don't jerk your arm off
The bobberstoppers from bass pro are far better than the ones from Walmart. They are harder rubber and grip line far better . They will hold a 2 Oz weight
Thanks for the tip ✅
