I'm Italian, and the first time I've ever heard about Wales was when I was like 5 😂 My Dad is in love with your Country, so he wanted to take the whole family to this road trip across Wales, we spent there like a month. There's also a Welsh map hanging on our kitchen wall :') and I remember when he told me all about your flag - something like the two dragons (the red one and the white one) who were fighting and the red one won :) sorry for my poor version of the facts, my memory is so bad.
We went to Llandudno, down into the rabbit hole, and I got an Alice in wonderland dress. I still have it in my closet. Then there was the Worm! The big big rock on the sea, looking like a sleeping dragon. And yeah, OF COURSE we went to Llanfair and had a local pronounce the whole name for us 😂
We came back up there a few years ago, when I was 16 I guess, same trip same places. The rabbit hole had been closed, but I mean, Wales was still there! And it was as beautiful as I remembered it to be. One thing I noticed was the people, so kind and friendly with us. There also was the big, wonderful cathedral where the videoclip from "Can I play with madness" (Iron maiden) was shot, am I right?
You guys are so lucky to be born in such a majestic country. Being a linguistics student, it's even sadder to think that your language is fading... I'm on your side guys, don't let it go away :)

Diana Pohe That’s so amazing! It’s so nice to know you had all those lovely memories in Wales and that it has a special place in your heart. It’s such a tiny little place that it’s lovely when people from elsewhere have stories to tell about it. Hopefully you’ll be back again some day ☺️

My family (Morgans) is from Kentucky in the US and as far as I know that part of my family hasn't lived in Wales in 100's of years, but they still have the tendency to add "now," or "now then," at random parts of sentences. I didn't even know that Morgan's had been Welsh until recently, but since I have been listening and reading to things about Wales it does have a lot of very endearing qualities about it.

    • @AimeeRebecca

I was born in Wales, but my name doesn't reflect it. Most of the castles were built by King Edward I of England to suppress the Welsh. Public words like SLOW ( ARAF in Welsh) on roads and signs, used to be all in English until a Welsh farmer Gwynfor Evans from Betws, in S. Wales took the government to the high court in London to have them officially in both English and Welsh languages. He won his case, he was my uncle and I think it was in the 1940's. You certainly sound Welsh to me, Aimee. Coincidently my favorite drink is Jack Daniels and I love Laverbread too! Keep it up Aimee, you have another subscriber :)

You could class Llan PG as the fourth, Wales does have another along with Thailand. Thailand: short version Krung Thep; Wales: gosafawddachaidraigdanheddoglddollonpenrhynareurdraethceredigion

The word "Welsh" is Old English for "Foreign Slave". Why are 3 million Britons still referred to as Foreign Slaves 1500 years later? No public discussion of this racist insult whatsoever!
