I, for one, love seeing how you use your planners and journals, regardless of what kind they are or how often you change books. And I def agree, the Hobonichi cover lineup is underwhelming this year (altho I did like a couple A6 ones! alas, I use A5).
ah the A5 options seemed to be about as dire as the options for the weeks mega- i hope you find something youre happy with!

No need to justify changing notebooks since the change is working! I use a ring planner which can be overwhelming. I need to try a bound book and see if that will help stick to my daily routine.
I think the eternal thing, at least for my neurodivergent brain, is I am always always /always/ looking for a better system, a better planner, a perfect solution. And I was a bit underwhelmed by this year's Hobonichi too tbh. I've been looking on etsy because there's some super cute ones. But as someone who leans towards neutral/calmer colors, the lineup makes my brain screech to a halt tbh (also, sorry if I rambled a bit)
i dont think anyone needs to worry about rambling here tbf! and yes, the bright colours and all the busy florals/patterns had me squinting lol. really disappointing lack of variety if nothing else!
I love your notebook videos so much! Since your A6 bullet journal days which made me switch to the A6 years ago. A few months ago I had some planner struggle and went to a B6+ Leuchtturm which has such a beautiful size (bummer it only comes in the softcover and not a hardcover with more pages) and now i am struggling again. But when I saw your previous Hobonichi setup videos again I knew that i wanted to try your way of journaling and doing more writing. Thank you soo much for your videos and please keep doing them
I loveeee how you are using the weeks. I hope you can walk us through again how you’re using the right side of your weekly spreads and if you’re using the start of the Weeks
You have to do what works for you! Your journaling has really helped me believe in what works for me and encouraged me to make my journal work! So be you :)
This year I discovered your videos and I got so inspired by your hobonichi system, that I had to try one myself. I love it, but my ADHD makes it difficult to commit every single day to it (But when I do, it helps a lot) I'm now debating if a Hobonichi weeks would work for me better... So don't worry! I also thought that it was the perfect system, but we and our needs change. Also, I love your art style! I would buy everything, but sadly I'm from Latinoamerica.
Hi, I just wanted to say that you do make sense. To me you make sense. I always feel that I do not make sense to other people and feel very sad and lost about that. Maybe you feel the same and I wanted you to know that you are not alone and you do make sense.
I just rediscovered your channel and I love your vlogs and rambles (: Love the way you layout your weeks, and how your style evolves. Would enjoy listening to your thoughts on the line up and what you’re going to get!
I like to write in notebooks and I had some that are A6 or smaller but they were so simple and I write too much so they started to appear kind of compact and the problem now is that I can't find in my country A5 notebooks with that style of organisation, and making it myself it takes too much time. Seeing the way you complete it, it's so satisfying.
Nice skies, an elongated notebook and a Paul Klee t-shirt. All very pleasing. Hope the change in medications works well and the wonkiness subsides quickly.
I like your preference for analogue things like journaling/handwriting and listening to vinyl in this digital age. There is a tactile aspect to handwriting and journaling on paper that that is lost with digital. It's good to make use of both analogue and digital. Have you seen the Netflix mini series called the "Extraordinary Attorney Woo"? It's about a young woman attorney with autism. Apparently it is a really well regarded drama in Korea and has received a lot of praise from people with autism and family who knows someone with autism. It's on Netflix with english subtitles and rated one of the top dramas there. I thought I'd mention it in case it's something you might find interesting.
honestly i think the tactility plays a big part in it all for me- i love it! i've heard of extraordinary attorney woo but haven't watched it yet, though i've also heard very good things. i'll add it to my list!
I always come back to the Weeks. To me it's the perfect planner and with the back pages you can do anything with them. ❤️ I try with the A6 and I use it occasionally but I'm most consistent with the Weeks.
It’s really interesting to see your notebooks! I went a different direction 🤣 i went from an a6 to a weeks and am now in a stalogy b6 and it is actually working after months of hazy struggling
I am kinda sad. I have been using a Moleskine for years and this year I finally decided to change so I went for a Stalogy notebook because I don’t really use a planner but I do journal and commonplace a lot, but I was considering to get a cute Hobonichi cover. I went down to size A6 so I was checking but none seemed quite right. The one I liked the best is the bears one but is white so… nope… I would be too concerned about it getting dirty or something. I shouldn’t care, but I do. I think I will stick with a transparent cover and stickers to decorate 😅 the problem is that I need something that closes, like the pen loops on the Hobonichi covers or the cover you have for your A6, it makes me feel better even if it doesn’t do anything for safety. I had my privacy violated some time ago and now I struggle with keeping my journal if I don’t feel is safe to do so, even if it is something so silly as having a pen in the loop of the elastic closing it, I need to know is close even if it is on a flimsy way.
Thanks for talking about your journals. I just moved for no reason from a Weeks to an A6 Avec! Sometimes change is awful and sometimes I just can’t stop myself LOL
Great video love all of the walks! I will buy the cousin this year! the weeks one looks so beautiful the way you have used it and so efficient! The a6 will Always be a good choice for when you need it!
I feel that struggle with changing. I started journaling on A6, and I have been doing it for over a year and in 10 A6 journals. (Fieldnotes size). It was feeling so small and cramped. I moved to A5 suddenly and it was scary. Its been a strange ride.
(i'm sorry in advance lol) you are not alone, i have felt like you too with my hobonichi a6. for a time it was working well, especially as a way to free my head from my thoughts, in addition as a memory keeping (which i'm a big fan of). but at some point, life is simply monotonous and boring, or on the contrary it is too much and overwhelming, so i ended falling behind with the planner. which makes more and more empty pages remain, which makes me more lazy to get back into it. lately i have been missing my traveler's notebook regular size, so i have filled a week of last year's planner (using stickers to put the current date). still not sure if it's going to work, regular size is too big for my taste, but passport is too tiny lamo. anyways, i think my problem with hobonichi a6 is that i am not a daily journaling person. in the end there are too many pages for me that are not being used. and this makes me sad, because hobo is quite expensive. on the other hand, i launch the idea that you design your own covers to put inside the plastic covers 👀. i would definitely buy the digital file and use it in my journal 🖤. halloween theme, autumn, moon, christmas, i don't know, i just really love your style and i think it would looks amazing as a journal cover. i usually buy 30x30cm (12x12 inches) stamped papers, cut them to the size i need and introduce it into the plastic cover. so during the year i change it as i need, to make it looks fresh. i forgot: absolutely agree with you about a court of silver flames. also, i really hated nesta so it was hard for me to get into the book lol. i liked the smut in the other books, but in this one it was way too much and not the one i like lmao. kind of embarrassing for me to writing this but who cares lol. acotar 1 and 2 are one of my faves in fantasy young-adult books. okay, sorry for the chunk text ☠
im always changing my planners, adhd cannot stick to a single one ever. im between planners rn and its the Worst. i need to find more undated ones! i love seeing your process with different planners
For some weird reason I had forgotten about Midnight Mass (even though I really wanted to watch it, it seems right up my alley). Now I'm even more ready for spooky season hehe Loved the video as always, here to see the Weeks journey ⭐
Thanks for the video. I love seeing the Halloween bits! I’m excited to see what you choose for your Hobonichi. I don’t like the colors this year either. I’m not a pastel or floral fan. Agree with you on the smut in that book. It was repetitive and unnecessary. Otherwise liked the series.
yes- it's such a shame because i thought the rest of the series was really good up until that point! and i even enjoyed nesta's story, which a lot didn't seem to. but the smut in that last book was 🤢
i loved this episode! & completely agree about the a6 covers -- i was going to change from a weeks to an a6 next year but i really dislike all the covers whereas the juzo itami mon oncle weeks is so pretty... so yeah i would be really interested in seeing what you're planning on getting! :-)
the mon oncle cover is beautiful! i think that was the only design from the early previews that actually made me pay attention lol. will show the bits im buying in next weeks video! ♥
yes! there's a6 and a5 notebooks, was surprised when i went looking and realised there's only memo pads in the weeks size. hopefully they'll add them one day!
i don't get on with digital planning! i sometimes keep big digital to-do lists but i've never been able to plan completely digitally longterm. I need the tactility of paper, i think!

Glad I'm not alone in wanting a hardcover B6 Leuchtturm. It's like the perfect size, but not the perfect format!
The first time being an insomniac has payed off being this early for an attics archive !!

Yes, I would love to see what Hobonichi products you are interested in purchasing.
have already filmed the clip for next weeks episode 😌♥

thank you (for both the kind comments and the well wishes)!
you and your little brother together makes me happy, kind of reminds me of me and my siblings

your dog is so cute and the halloween art is immaculate! 🖤
thank you! love your videos ♥🕸

the way you love midnight mass too!!! bc yesssss
Great video! Your notebooks look really cool.
thanks terry!

You’re definitely a creature of the night. Right now I’m sitting in my balcony watching your video and the stars.
thats a very high compliment 🖤

I wish there were hobounichi weeks-sized notebooks that were only grid paper
yes! there's a6 and a5 notebooks, was surprised when i went looking and realised there's only memo pads in the weeks size. hopefully they'll add them one day!
I end up getting all three sizes every year, because I know no matter what I decide on and why, things will change.
if a change is necessary you gotta change stuff, no need to apologize
Have you considered digital planning? It's what I've been doing for years and I love it
i don't get on with digital planning! i sometimes keep big digital to-do lists but i've never been able to plan completely digitally longterm. I need the tactility of paper, i think!
