I have spent the last ten days listening to interviews of Isabel Allende discussing her many books. Some of the interviews have been taped in Spain or Chile or the USA. I had expected that this interview at Harvard University would be one of the best but it turned out to be awkward, stilted, and rather disorganized, beginning with the inappropriate first question that the female professor asked. This shows just how removed from reality university people can be. Yet, last night I heard an excellent interview of Allende done at Domincan University in California which had also bestowed an honorary doctorate to Isabel Allende. Queda muy deslucida esta conferencia porque los interlocutores no se acercan al microfono y tambien Isabel tiene el microfono muy bajito. Una oportunidad perdida de disfrutar de Isabel ALlende!!!
