Have you ever noticed that Geoff's signatures in most of his videos are a "Yeah" and/or "C'mon." But instead of the latter, we get a "Here we go!" in this one, and it's SO HOT! Errrr, I mean, musically pleasing! Yes, that's what I meant. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!💙

There are so many masterful details in this arrangement. One is that he manages to make it feel not too repititive, in spite of the lyrics being just that. Always something fresh developing.

. Left to right we have: Goff, Daryl, Jeoph, and Jeff - the Ghost Riders before they died and were cursed to eternally ride. Geoff was confident that Daryl would keep the boys in line. The moment of matching moves by Daryl and Jeoph was serendipity - Geoff explains it as him having his style of singing and moving his hands with the notes, and they sometimes are the same in a couple of the shots. Often, he'll reshoot a segment to get rid of it, but liked how it turned out in this instance. One of the plug-ins for this cover was labeled "Tubular Bells," and Geoff says there are over 1000 tracks for this song! Most of the costumes from Ghost Riders in the Sky were in storage and Rick Underwood still had most of the hair pieces saved. This is the first time this particular background set at PattyCake Productions was used. Eli did the lighting design.

That's some pretty cool behind the scenes info! Thanks for sharing. The way the video was edited made me think that he intended to highlight the matching movements of the hands 🤣

And incidentally, this is a prequel to Geoff's "Ghost Riders." They're the same characters, minus Geoff himself. It's just Goff, Jeff, Jeoff and Daryl. Daryl is in the duster. That's the only one I know for sure.💙

The Original Song by D'Angelo was indeed written for the soundtrack of "Red Dead Redemption 2" (I expected it to be 'chosen' for the soundtrack, but not actually written for it).
The song is very strong in the context of the game when you hear it there. It's a pivotal moment of the main character (Arthur Morgan) and you can find many emotional reactions of this part of the game on YT from players all around the world.

Geoff said that he's not in this video... They're just his clones, who he left unsupervised for once and came out with this thing 😅.
He also said that these are the Ghost Riders in the Sky BEFORE they became ghosts. 🙂
I confess that this song is threatening to take the first place from "I see fire" in my personal Top 10 Geoff's songs 😁.
Loved your reaction, as usual. 🙂

It is a hard call, but I think "I See Fire" shows off his high range a bit more, which is so beautiful. Whereas this one shows off his bass range. They're neck and neck, I think. Or should I say, "throat and throat." 😊 💙

I kind of like it when I have not a clue about the song. I don't have to compare it to anything, I don't risk liking it more or less than the original or being disappointed either way.
