Years ago, I was out on a log way out in the mountains and a fighter jet flew over and broke the sound barrier. Needless to say I was all wet afterwards.

As long as there are fisherman like you, there will always be fish! You gave a great example of how you can enjoy both enjoy this beautiful sport without depleting the stock! Thumbs up from eastern Canada. Even by our standards these are awesome brookies!

My favorite way to eat brook trout is smoking them with apple wood for a few hours after brining them with salt and brown sugar.

Flipping the pan upside down so that the top pan is on the coals and the bottom one that was done was on the top and that would be quicker.

From an older fly fisherman as a tip, coldwater fish, such as brook trout should be handled with better care. Land them in clean water free from debris and not on the bank. Keep hands away from gills. With wet hands, support the fish under the belly with the other hand gentley clamped around the tail. Try and keep them in the water as much as possible. If you do plan on eating one, make sure to hit it in the head, so the fish doesn't suffer. I never eat native brookies, since they were brought here by the glaciers and are sacred. Other than that, it was nice to see you released most of them esp. the big breeders for future population and only took one pan size fish.

Hey buddy, great video as always! But please do yourself a a big favor and get yourself a new windshield! It’s not just for your safety but it’s also a reason for a police officer to pull you over and give you a ticket. Call up your car insurance company and see if you have windshield insurance as well because if you do you can get a new windshield installed and it won’t cost you a cent. I just would hate for something bad to happen to you or for you to get a ticket when you could if prevented it. I guess now that I’m older I take care of the little things like that lol. I was your age one time with a bad cracked windshield and didn’t realize my car insurance would or will get it replaced for free. So check into that ok.
