Very Touching episode. I had my now deceased parents on board a couple of times, and those are the times I treasure now that they are gone. We screw up from time to time and our boats break, our sails rip, but having your parents aboard is a part of owning your boat that will never break and never be forgotten. Great job, great video.
Reminds me when I took my parents on my sailboat, Heroine. My dad was just beginning to experience the problems of Alzheimer's Disease but the remarkable thing was that he had not forgotten how to sail. My mom and dad owned a 37 foot Alberg which they sailed from Lake Ontario to the Caribbean. With the biggest smile and a look of thanks upon her face, my mom watched me dad experience three hours of happiness at the helm of Heroine. He was completely in control. He was like my dad of old, before Alzheimer's. It brought so much joy to my mom who being struggling to support my dad as the disease progressed. It was one of the best days of my life in the company of my parents. Niki, I hope you are lucky enough to spend more time sailing with your parents. All the best.

😂 we did not come by so many people and I think they are not tooooo keen on me sailing my boat by myself 😂🙈. They would surely prefer to see me sailing with an extra pair of hands. But it was beautiful to have them there and they were super excited to finally see me on the boat moving around and see “for real” what my life is like with Karl and not just from the videos.

Nike, Good Vid. A while ago, I was running my 40-foot ship on the Chesapeake Bay for years. I got my Mom and brother out once for a five-day run. She just loved it. As you know, it can be such a good time to have your parents on board. I am sure they were very impressed with your skills, which are remarkable, at the least. It's also amazing how good your English is.

Unfortunately, the camera was not running, hahaha! But apart from that, the ride with my folks was really quite smooth and very enjoyable :)
