@@popireal3628 When a business pulls off this kind of stunt it's because they are desperate. It is a risky strategy but it can and often does pay off. Yes you lose some customers, but you gamble on the fact that your political statement will attract others and that will make up for the loss and more. You don't have to target every potential customer, it's one strategy among many and if you have a generic, uninteresting product that's neither particularly good or cheap you probably won't do very well. @Timmy Doughavin Partisan contempt and exclusion seem to be a good business model for certain entrepreneurs on the right. Eddie Lubic took a risk on which customers he wants to serve and which to reject. I'm fine with letting the free market decide whether that is a successful business strategy over the long run.
@Timmy Doughavin Maybe, but even if you are right not likely for very long.
Having worked in the service industry for 4 almost 5 decades doing every job from dishwasher to GM and finding great success along the way. IMHO you are better off not p*ssing people off.
You may get a sugar rush from a stunt like that.
But you are far better off just doing the work of cultivating a strong customer base one customer at a time. Those are your bread and butter.
I appreciate the honesty for a change from Trumpists. I never want to accidentally patronize their business.
Imagine pissing off half your potential customers. There's a restaurant in my town that has a huge TRUMP banner in it. I know of several people who went in, were seated, served water, saw the sign, then left telling the workers why. There is no limit to stupid.
There's an auto repair shop near my house that had 4 huge (10 x 20 feet) TRUMP flags hanging right inside the entrance where they could easily be seen from the street. They were there for about a year, then were taken down about a month ago. I don't know if the owner of the shop was losing business as a result of those flags, but I know that they haven't been put back or they got moved to somewhere inside the business where they can't be seen by passersby.
Forrest Gump was referring to this guy when he said "Stupid is as stupid does."
I think I got one called braden Campbell replying to my response - probably the restaurants most intelligent customer bless them!!!!!

in the first year of 45th reign, 15 soldiers got killed. So, for now Biden is still doing better

And these are the same clowns that complain about the Left and Centrists making everything political.
When going out to eat, no one wants to hear your politics. Everyone is trying to simply enjoy themselves. What a dingus.
Patriotism is the love of and devotion to one's country, NOT one person.
Speaking of 9/11 didn’t Trump boast about how his building became the tallest because of it? Not very patriotic if you ask me.
My wife and I JUST had this conversation. There's a local mechanic that had "Let's Go Brandon" signs in the waiting room. She walked out. They'll never get our business. We own five cars. Idiots.
I've often thought those flags only advertise their ignorance and lack of couth.
1. Keep your politics out of your business.
2. Don’t make someone else deal with the fallout of your opinion spouting.
3. Do some actual research (hint not just Fox News) before you toss off opinions.
He's as good a business man as Trump is...
Yeah you know, he should run for president. He has what it takes to lead this country. He's got my vote for sure!

He is probably also against forcing employees to wash their hands after using the toilet. Freedom.
I don't go where I am not wanted. Simple as that.
So, he did a boneheaded move-twice-loses customers, yet it’s the “Libs” fault. Classic deflection.
Does this guy think only 13 US soldiers died in Afghanistan in 20 years?
Yeah. They’re really that dumb. It’s pretty impressive.
I’m in sales, I don’t have political bumper stickers on my car for a reason. Depending on the county I could lose 49% to 51% of my customer base. Voting booths are there for a reason, the choice to make a private decision.
Sounds like you have common sense, unlike other people.
As a Sales & Marketing pro I find all of this mixing of politics with business one of the most interesting, perplexing phenomena going on in the business community. It ratcheted up during Obama’s second term and is especially embraced in Silicon Valley.
Why leave money on the table like that? I’m on the right end of the spectrum, but regardless of what I think about lefties and the crazy ideas and occultism coming from that side, I want their business too. Whether it’s a Biden supporter or a blm/Antifa activist or a Trump supporter, the money is green and a sale is a sale.
But you can do very well if you only target a small slice of the whole market if you are more or less the only one that does so.
I despise these type of tactics I find them sleazy and dishonest but they do work more often than I would like them to.
Wait, you mean who you vote for is a private matter? So I'm not crazy for keeping my political opinions and votes to myself!
If the radical-right gets their way, they will audit all the purple states and expose that info.
There's a reason Trump said he loves the "poorly educated". #VoteBlueDownBallot

I've noticed a funny trend of people who praise free market capitalism then crying cancel culture.
Im cool with the people who dont eat there. I just would like to see an equal standard.
He set up that poor hostess to be abused by the public.
Wow, that's a case of "be careful what you wish for." He said,"Don't come here," and they complied. Then he cried.
Seriously, serve the food, and keep your politics to yourself. You're running a business, not a PAC. The customers don't need to know what you feel about Joe Biden.
Act big with a sign.

He should just put out a sign that says “I am stupid” with a picture of himself.
Not surprised that a Trump supporter is not too bright. Second sign just reinforced it.
It is never smart for a small businessperson to discuss politics or religion with their customers. It is a certain strategy to alienate several customers, and then lose them as customers.
He needs a new sign "Going broke with and for trump"
Why would any sane individual want to dine in a COVID-19 infested restaurant especially when you are unvaccinated? This guy has let his politic overrule his business sense.
That’s like going to a restaurant that has a sign that says “we don’t wash our dishes”
Tells you how a Traitor/Trump supporter has no business owning a business.
@Boot Hill One more foolish man that don't understand that if you don't treat all customers well you are fast out of business. Typical Trump lover!
He deserves to go out of business. Someone who goes this far with his political agenda probably SPITS on the food.
He went.
To the Trump School Of Business. Know file for bankruptcy. That's the Trump policy.
Probably why his second sign included an epstein special on the side.
No, it looks like this guy pays workers and vendors, and probably didn't lie all over his financials, so he already has Trump beat in many ways.
Better to keep quiet and let people think you’re nuts than to speak up and remove all doubt.
When someone reveals themselves to be that childish, my first thought is, How childishly are they handling my food?
I'm not eating there. It isn't the politics that make me walk on by.
It's the immaturity.

The hell dude? You LITERALLY told them not to come into your restaurant. Why the hell should they go where you tell them they are not welcome? Why should any of them hand you a single dollar? This is exactly what you asked for.

When ego and stupidity mix, the results are volatile.
His food is too heavy too.
It’s stupid to mix politics with your business. Again, align yourself with Trump and pay the price. Everyone does.
In a town outside of Houston, TX there is a restaurant called “Trump Burger”. The WHOLE restaurant is COVERED with Trump banners. They had customers, so it’s whatever. I’d rather eat from a dumpster than that place.
If you did happen to eat at that dump you would be eating in a trumpster...
