Jason said that his favorite video game was NFL Football. I would guess that he was referring to the Intellivision version of the game that was released in 1979.
Yes ... Track & Field was available for play in Eps106, Eps111 and Eps098 but Eps096 is the only Episode that features Track & Field exclusively...__Mavis, Co-Creator/Executive Producer/Writer
@@starcadetvv Thanks for the answer. I remember watching this episode as a kid and COULDN'T WAIT to get to the arcade to play Track & Field! This episode also inspired me to pick up Activision Decathlon on the Atari 2600. Good times indeed...
its not much different from the fire button in space invaders or galaxian. Things were made better back then. I never saw a broken track and field and I can attest that I beat those buttons like a bongo back in the day!
@@jeffny9 They definitely DID break way more often and it definitely was different from other games. Players POUNDED on those buttons in Track and Field. (If they didn't use the pencil method.) Nothing like someone pushing them to fire in other games, especially slow ass Space Invaders. It was very common to start playing only to find out that one button didn't work so you were stuck trying to run fast with only one button. You usually found that out when you were entering your name to start and could only go one way around the oval of letters. Like if your name was TOM and the counter-clockwise button was broken so you had to go to T, and then go all the way around to O and then all the way around again to the M rather than just go to T, and then back 5 spots to the O and back 2 more spots to the M

Dude didn't recognize the _Death Star?!_ C'mon, Mark!
I've been looking forward to this one! Was this the only episode where they focused exclusively on Track & Field?
Thank you as always for the upload!

kind of funny how they finally have a black guy on and they make him play the black guy character in the video game 😂
It's not a decathlon -- there were only six events. You'd call it a "hexathlon."
Love this episode!
I can only imagine how often those buttons broke yikes

@@FUGP72 I am sorry you did not qualify because of those broken buttons back in 1983. But I think its time to let it go.
The game would have been pretty cool back then with all the voice bytes
