Fantastic! I had never seen Small Munsterlander's work before. They are very nice pretty dogs. We have 3 German Wirehaired Pointers which are great fun to shoot over, too. Jakt med stående fågelhund är den bästa jakt! 😃

Thank you Colin. I love the Small Munsterlander, as an all around dog. The German Wirehaired Pointers are something speciel if trained well. Nothing beats a well trained German Wirehaired Pointer :) What are you hunting with them?

@@JBPetersen mine are pretty good for training but, we took 21 years to find a bitch we liked and could train well enough to give us confidence to breed from her. We moved away from German lines and went with Danish as they are kinder and softer dogs to train. So we have a 7 year old plus 2 of her pups: a 3 year and 2 year old.
We hunt red grouse, partridge, pheasant, ducks, woodcock and snipe. Also, I use the mother, Flora to track shot deer. The 2 younger ones point deer if we get the correct down wind side of them and crucially, they don't chase! They are fantastic animals and when 2 of them work the wind closing in and pinning down on birds with their pointing (stående?) it is more exciting than ever shooting anything.
I would love to have a "skogsfugljakt" (I think you call it) in UK with them but sadly our forest grouse are too rare and endangered in Scotland now.

@@colinjohnston5465 amazing. I always wanted to Hunt red grouse in heathermoors with My dog. Is that even posible or is only Big drives?

@JBPetersen It is 100% possible. Many of the estates are what we call "dogging moors" as they cannot or do not produce a big enough surplus of wild birds to drive and shoot. Red grouse cannot be artificially farm reared and released like duck and pheasants. So they are for running your pointing dogs or Hunt Point Retrieve dogs on. You can find such estates from Northern England to the far North of Scotland and the Scottish Islands. It is the best sport there is. 😁
