Exactly. Imagine He would Talk and warn people about the fact that they glued the keyboard to the housing and that you need more force than you would ever want to put on 1mm plastic to get this shit off. That would drastically reduce the quality of the information
I just wanted to say a proper thank you, this video helped a lot. I managed to clean, replace thermal paste, upgrade ram, upgrade the wi-fi card, add an ssd and replace the ODD with a caddy for a second SSD. Works surprisingly well for a relatively old laptop at this point.
Hi! Can you please tell me which model of SSD did you use? I tried connecting a 480 GB Seagate BarraCuda Q1 but unfortunately the laptop doesn't see it.

I spilled coffee and a drop got on that metal rectangle at the bottom middle-right (what's it called?). Not sides just the very center. Now it won't turn on for longer than a few seconds. How to troubleshoot or fix further?!
Just a heads up, just did one of these and the keyboard was held down with some pretty sticky double sided tape, it did not pop out as easily as demonstrated here.
Do you really need to remove the keyboard before removing the back plate?I just wanna change my memory and I'm afraid I might somehow break the keyboard connector or something in there, just taking the screws off and opening the back would be a lot easier to do.
I replaced the thermal paste after cleaning the fan from dust, and now the fan is running all the time, passive cooling is not working. Could it be bad paste quality? I tried upgrading the bios, play around with power setting.
How much does the monitor cost for this laptop because here in Macedonia they charge 140$ and thats too expensive for me...In Amazon i see 50$ part but i dont know if they are the same quality...Someone please tell me what should i do?
which is the speaker? i’m kinda having audio problems and it turns out the driver is malfunctioning so i thought about cleaning it but which one is it?
there are 3 screws under the keyboard, one is under a lenovo sticker hidden, make sure u unscrew these, i also couldnt take the cover off bcs i didnt notice these 3 screws
Typically that is the graphics die, not part of the processor. You can see on the heat sink how the plate is cut out as to not make contact with it at all, so thermal paste wouldn't make much sense. That being said, I have no clue why that die isn't cooled. I would like an explanation too.
My lap was turned off automatically it's doesn't power on after that I do all the methods but no any indication of LED??? When lap was off that time 0% charge and power adapter also doesn't work when I tried another same power adapter it's also doesn't charging 🤷♂️
There are clips, but the there is also copious amounts of tape. I had to run a metal spudger along the back to remove the adhesive after I had popped the clips. This is coming apart easily because he has probably had it apart before.

The battery connector is the cable that runs the length of the palm-rest under the keyboard. It then connects to the motherboard. This is a very weird design. Make sure that the connector is connected to the board and not just tucked up under the palm rest. Also check the connector to make sure it isn't damaged.
I just opened one up, there IS double-stick tape on the top edge, I couldn't get it out starting from the top as shown, I started from the top corners, working in towards top center, then lifted the top up and towards the display to remove it.

You have to remove it. Otherwise the back doesn't come off. Vary bad design from Lenovo if you ask me.

There is a single already populated slot. I believe the max memory capacity on this is 8GB as it's DDR3.
