Congratulations to Urara! But I am still very confused about how the step ladder works, didn't Urara lose the second last game? She got to play again plying with the same player in the final (apologies for not knowing her name) and won that game and ended up winning the whole tournament. I really don't understand that, hope someone can clarify this for me. So you COULD that Uraras second last game was just a "warm-up" match for her?
The tournament design reflect s the existing Japanese culture, that is, it is very hard to challenge the long-standing authority, unless you spend ultra efforts to defeat it.
@山勝：In order to be fair in your rationale, the final winner should (1) Achieve accumulated highest score in the whole tournament, (2) Achieve the highest sum of score in the separated Championship games, (3) Win 2 out of 3 games in that separated Championship games. (4) Failing to meet the above 3 conditions, a Final determinant Championship Game is to be conducted without reference to any of the previous games played. Hope this will help improving the tournament 🙂
This is proberbly the "only" big event in Japanese professional bowling where they "award" the tournament leader with a second chance to win it. I think he/she only has to win 1 of 2 games while the challenger has to win both. I was confussed when I watched this event 10 years ago.

Total pin count between the 2 games
The top qualifying leader has a rule to win if he wins one in two games in the final.

It is fair because "every bowler" has the "same chance" to be the "tournament leader" and get that "second chance win".
