I’ve been in the music industry for 25 years and never seen a band being criticized so much in my entire life. Liliac is putting so much passion and work in their music, people are just being nasty. Why? What did they to you? Because they are an Inidiependent band? Because they did covers that are so good? Because they are young and have 3 original albums and the 4th is on the way? Rock and Metal has the most Toxic fans then any other Genre of Music. I wish this gatekeepers can be stopped before Rock and Metal becomes the most unpopular genre. It’s already decreasing rapidly and the biggest percentage of the young generation don’t want to have anything to do it, and this why. If I can get a dollar for every Rock/Metal toxic fan, I would be a billionaire 😂 🎤 drop
I guess on the outside I don't see it. In my book, I have never listened to more music from one band in my entire 61 year then Liliac, other then Van Halen. I post Liliac songs on a very very large industrial forum. "what are you listening to now" to the point where I should be getting push back. Not a bad word yet. How could they, what this band brings to the table with 110% top tier PRO level professional musicianship. Top level engineering of sound, better then Van Halen ever did at 5150 studios. ( Van Halen sound quality sucked when Eddie built 5150 studios) Yours is top tier. When Liliac is compared to "the warning" I have to laugh, they suck, they can't even match the sound of the cover they are doing even close. They sound like a garage band. Liliac covers are as good of better in many cases then the original cover. WHERE/WHEN does that every happen on that scale? Almost Never, Liliac is the winner on cover acquisition in sound and skill, bare none. ...........I would just ignore the the keyboard bullies as they are a cancer. There will ALWAYS be cancer cells in peoples lives, so don't give them power they are looking for. They now know they have your eye and ears and will just keep pushing their BS, IF you let them. Just know you are a special special band "a gift from God for me" I get so so so much joy out of melody's voice and Sam's guitar work, I just wish Abby keeps popping back in on her spring/Xmas breaks, she is a joy to see play. Oh, I love your engineer work too. Your ear has a large part in this too, more then you even know. God bless all of you. I will be going to work on my daughter house and cranking the liliac while doing drywall in 60 minutes from now!!!
You don't deserve all the criticism. But honestly, all bands get it. Be careful about having a persecution complex. If I speculate on the nature of criticism, my guess is it is because Liliac can come off as posers at times. It's pretty clear the band doesn't have a sense of self...or maybe it got lost when stepping out of the 80's. My reco is to stop paying attention to what people say and trends and figure out what you want to say musically. And be careful about overdoing everything it comes off as a lack of confidence. I like your newer sound. Stick in that direction. But simplify where you can. And you might consider getting some help with lyrics. Some good concepts but the language isn't working. hope you take this as honest, constructive criticism. The band has a lot of potential. I think Ethan's playing is getting really good and I like that there are fewer guitar solos and less screaming. But that's just personal preference. You know better who you want to be...or should at least be figuring it out. Best of luck
Actually these are pop fans who want to stop à metal résurgence when I see somone make a critical comment I find that these people follow pop music and hate rock even though there music sacks so they go after anyone who puts out good music.

The Warning are playing all originals and touring with bands like Foo Fighters, Muse, Evanescence, Halestorm, Guns N Roses and more. Liliac does great covers.
The singing is phenomenal but the rest of the band not impressed with at all and this band was better when they first started as a band then they are now honestly. Not trying to hate at all just giving my honest opinion.

Another really good song by Liliac! However, I do have one critique. I had already listened to the song before this lyric video and not until I saw it, did I know there was words in the background. Sam has a beautiful voice but not a powerful deep voice. I for one really feely that there should be times like this song calls for, that you find a deeper more rugged singer to scream the words with intensity. The "We Pledge", "We Stand" "With God" etc. I can barely hear it. A good example would be David Draiman of Disturbed when he sings the words "and the people bowed and prayed, to the neon god they made" from the Sound of Silence. JMHO! I love you guys! Child trafficking is a horror although the guy sound of Freedom was made about is a charlatan who has been accused of sex abuse by 5 women and has been denounced by Mormon church.
