Theres many point of views of this song .....what we "burn" down can be so many things
Bullies
Pass addictions
Abuse
Etc
So when we "burn" the shit down we ...we beat our demons 😈 "shadow's" that tell us we aren't worth anything but we are ....
Thank you for your reviews
Your a amzing person...keep it up
If this isn’t a infomercial for mosh pits I don’t know what is. I’m 40 now, so I don’t feel the need to get that aggression out, but several years ago this was my outlet at shows. You do come out feeling stronger, you take the hits and keep on moving.
My whole family treated me like this!
I disowned them all.
Breaking down and Paranoid are incredible songs. Both extremely well done, and very relatable.
Thank you, for beeing there for so many of us. You, @MentalAmanda, remember me where i don't want to be anymore. In this helpless, self destructing "figure", that only destroyes it self, over and over again. Hard words but i thank you, for showing me, how i was back in the days and how i try never want to be, in the future. I'm a adult (father), raising my child, after a divorce the best way i can. It hurts myself but i will go through this personal hell for her. Huge thank you, for helping me, doing this.
If you want to do what is best for her, show her that people CAN heal and that staying strong doesn't mean not showing emotion. You're a loving dad who is growing SO much. Keep fighting!
I love that you reacted to this. Its an amazing video and while i didnt go through this kind of trauma myself, my best friend in middle-school did.
May she rest in peace.
This is a fantastic song! I Prevail touch on some excellent points on mental health. "Paranoid" is another great song! "DOA" touches on violence in America.
Bro Daz fucking nailed this role.
The whole Trauma album is so worth it.It's the people's music.A lot of us see ourselves in these clips/songs.I Prevail stood up for the masses and fought for us.I love them for that.
Oh, dude.. I've been waiting for this. They've got so many great songs pertaining to mental health, very positive band.
Btw.. I broke down into tears when I first watched this version of the music video long ago.. and I still use this song on my bad days.. trying to break myself free, phoenix from the ashes, motivation to wash the dishes lol.
I Prevail is so underrated. Their live presence is something many bigger bands fail to achieve. My suggestion is "Come and Get It," the song they ended the set I saw a few years back when they opened with A Day to Remember. I was drawn to the pit and I'm glad I did because it was the most humbling and together I've ever seen a pit. No one was out to hurt each other: it was just about getting those demons and traumas out, and it has one hell of a breakdown/chant which we all did.
I have listened to a fair of songs involving depression, suicide, paranoia and the like where they're mostly soft and somber songs just to help ease the pain we go through. I Prevail's Gasoline is unique in that it's loud and aggressive and it brings us to let loose because we've decided "enough, is enough" almost like suppressing your emotions, there is just so much you can take, until you explode! That's why I love this song.
I was abused by my dad's former fiancee by ways of beatings and punishment constantly so this hits home to me. I had enough one day and lashed out verbally at her and that was it and my dad had to break it off with her. Sucked in a way because we did have a nice home due to them both having good jobs, but I couldn't take the verbal and physical abuse anymore. I've heard this song before, but never seen the music video so I really get it now. Always been a fan of this band so if you react to more of them I'll gladly watch. Love your channel!
Hope you know now that you never deserved that! You are lovable and worthy!
This is one of my favorite reactions from you so far.
I love I Prevail and this was also my first time watching the video and as a metalhead this full video completely demonstrates my life, pain, and the way i have used music to endure it all and fight through it.
Breaking down by I Prevail! You were very brave to watch Gasoline as your first time hearing this band.
I dealt with physical and mental abuse for a very long time. This was such a satisfying video the first time I saw it
Great video Amanda!
I didn't suffer from abuse thank God.
I am still dealing with a relationship issue. Burn it all down is exactly what I need to do. It's just very hard to do when you think the world of someone and love them unconditionally.
A while back I told her I am Forrest Gump and she is my Jenny.
I have not contacted her in almost a month and I know she will never contact me. I'm trying to totally flush her down the memory hole.
Breaking down is one of my favorite songs from them and the video hits hard as well. It’s helped me literally at times when I’ve like I’ve been breaking down in certain situations.
I went through the whole video thinking your channel was ‘Metal Amanda’ and was surprised at how deep your reaction was and how little it was about the actual song. I was also thinking it was an odd song choice given the video’s stop start nature.
Now that I’ve realised what this channel is about it makes so much more sense!! 😂
Keep up the good work. Brilliant stuff.👏🏼
I love you for showing this.
I love you xoxoxo
Just found your channel, I hope you reacted to more of their songs, I'm about to check ☺️ also you earned a sub from me. I love this band 🤩 shout out to the actor who dropped the pizza, Daz Black, I discovered this band through him... Fun fact... At the moment of recording that video he was actually very hungry and he wanted to eat that pizza 🤣 he actually told the guy who was putting it on the floor "my man what's the pizza doing on the floor? I wanted to eat that!" The guy explained to him that they bought it for recording the video... To which he replied "ok, can I eat it after we finish recording?" 🤣🤣🤣
Amanda glad you got to this and that you enjoyed it so much, I figured you would. Another killer reaction that sparks a great conversation and positive message of overcoming things in our lives
My most played track every year since it was released. It's perfection!
Best band in the world with such deep tracks.
True and agreed
Their clean vocals singer Brian battles with depression, that's why a lot of the songs from "I Prevail" are about mental health. And the "screamer" Eric lost his best friend to suicide😢, while writing or touring "Trauma". There is a song called "Goodbye" dedicated to his friend on the record.
I love their "Trauma" album, the name says everything about the lyrics in it. So if you are triggered by lyrics about mental health etc. I don't recommend it. But if you like to relate to the lyrics and like heavier music than it's the perfect album/band for you.
Ps: in the music video of "Hurricane" you get a summary of most of the things they been through.
Great reaction! Love this band and song, def would like to see more of them on your channel, a lot of their lyrics fit your channel well!
Thank you...for this review 🙏

Gasoline is one of my favorites tracks growing up in physically and verbally abuse home because of my old man drinkin' i gravitated to the mosh pits, and aggressive sports.
My childhood was pretty complex with abuse. Not really physical abuse though. My stepmother tried that, but I ended up winning that fight. Just a lot of other shit. But I really enjoy that i’m now successful in life, and every time i run into her, it’s really noticeable that she hates that. It feels like revenge without really doing anything for it. I’m really glad that woman is out of my family, so we can all be a lot closer again.
I have no diagnosis at the age of 64, I do however have indelible memories of having to wear long sleeves and full trousers in the heat of summer as a child to cover the bruises. Notes from my mother, who always watched but said nothing, saying that I was unable to participate in physical education.
Finding this channel the other day totally by accident is bringing me understanding.
If you know someone please point hem here. I have suffered 60 yrs alone and wish that on nobody!
Now you are stuck with us FOREVER!
I just went on a search to find peoples reaction to music like this because I love it and in its chaos it brings me peace...
But I absolutely love what you've done here and defintely earned a subscribe and bell click
Amanda, a story of my life!
Their new album JUST came out and you need to hear Deep End YESTERDAY
I am mesmorised( i hope i make sence)
by the HUGE amount of insight you have 🤗🤗
I can only remotely try to understand what you have been through, to have this great perspektive on those matters 😱😱
I really opened my eyes to what and who you are, as a human being , by your understanding of Nightwish their Poet and the pendulum 🥰🥰
Great and deeeeeeep reaction, to me at least 🤗🤗
Have a great day Amanda 🥰
The whole TRAUMA album got me through one of the worst times of my life, but Gasoline was my anthem for a bit - not for the burning bridges angle but more from a phoenix ideology, burn it all down but I'll rise after (even if it's just out of spite)
If You haven’t heard it before “My Sweet Shadow “ by “In Flames” sounds like a song You might appreciate 😊
Playing this song in Beat Saber is something everyone should do, everyday.
Paranoid, scars, breaking down, let me be sad, and rise above it I think you’ll like
Lol, Ioved how excited you got when the song started. I saw the mudvayne vidoes and now can't stop watching...
I have watched A lot of IPrevail reactions to gasoline, but this one has really hit me the hardest….
At 58, I find myself living to help others. As a result I end up just being used and abused...still!
Martin we could be brothers. I am here if you ever just need an ear!
Be strong friend….
Clifford, I thought I had all this shit suppressed. I have tried to deal with it through seeing a Clinical Psychologist over many years. But the wall is paper thin.
@@martinfinn674 I understand completely what you are saying Martin. I was a big fan of suppression until Friday night when I got screwed over yet again by a “good friend “.
I was ready to check out as my wall was on fire. I wanted some good music to be with me and for whatever reason when I hit play I got a reaction from Amanda!
She thinks algorithm I think something else! Anyhow I am sharing with you and here if you need an ear.
Be strong!
I am listening to Pink Floyd. Great Gig in the Sky. I find the vocalese is like crying.
@@martinfinn674 be strong my friend and let the music work!
There are people here who care
!
"Foreplay" to a song/music video... fantastic!
They have too many songs to suggest listening to.. but..
"Hurricane" (for a good example of who they are as people and a band)
"Bow Down"
"D.O.A. ft. Joyner Lucas"
"Breaking Down"
"Everytime You Leave"
Fun fact the main character that plays the protagonist as an adult is a youtuber called Daz Games
You could try and getting into their newest song Bad Things, as it really portrays what someone has in their dark mind, and what they are thinking about bad things feels like therapy despite it harming them.
If you've never heard it and seen music video for it Breaking Down By them is super good and very emotional and just really captures depression very well
My diagnosis is complex PTSD.
Probably wont see this. But if ya like something like this just as heavy if not heavier elements but lighter music wise. Id suggest mothica forever fifteen its about when she tried to commit and her thought process and what she wanted to say to her 15 yr old self if i remember correctly she did a seperate video explaining it in detail but alot of the details are in the music video as well. Theres also her video that got her famous enough to tour called vices. Id recommend the version where shes in her car driving around cuz it tells her life story.
Oh you definitely have to check out their 2 new songs “Body Bag” and “Bad Things”
Hellyeah
I need my buddy. Just to talk, I trust you because your putting it out there.
This just reminds us that ANYONE can have 10 times worse life than us
this is one of my favorite bands I love their song crossroads
Speaking of back from the dead…. Check out Halestorm back from the dead. I haven’t seen the video yet but the song hits
The demons never leave...
You should listen Helvegen by Wardruna.
Its song about death and moving on.
Its name translates Way to Hel.
Hel is realm of the dead in scandinavian mythology. Not to be mistaken for christian Hell.
Actually any song from Wardruna iso worth reacting to 😁
Now I can't wait for you to listen to bad things and hurricane by I prevail
You should check out "Breaking Down" by them
There song breaking down is amazing both the song and the music video, they got some emotional songs
You gotta check out Bow Down from them!
I saw the moment you fell in love..these guys are incredible!
I think youd like to watch "The unguided - Heartseeker (Official Video)" small swedish band
If you want to hear a song about the horror’s of addiction then you should definitely check out Thunderhead by WASP. it’ll definitely open your eyes
I like too see what you think of three songs two from Ozzy Obourne Dairyof a madman and paicent number 9 and Shinedown daylight
Here is my Diary of a Madman reaction!
ruclips.net/video/6LQsJszg5HI/видео.html
@@MentalAmanda I’m glad you enjoyed it. Ozzy has always been my favorite artist and his music helps me get through my day and help me calm down after a bad day..
Bow Down is a deep one as well
Is it a good idea to quit all my bad habits at once
This can actually be dangerous. Examine your bad habits and which are the most damaging and engrained. Focus on killing those first. It's a one step at a time process. No Ody heals in a day. As long as you are determined on letting go of these habits, you can do it. Give yourself time
I think it depends on the nature of the habit. Like Aaron said, I've read, quitting multiple addictive habits (smoking, drinking etc) at the same time can have physical and mental drawbacks. If you're talking about things like poor nutrition, lack of exercise, too much TV etc there is no reason, in my opinion, why you can't tackle multiple bad habits like that at once. I know I have. When in doubt ask your primary care physician. Good luck, dude!
Oh live in Wales 🏴 so i don't really have a primary care physician your lucky here to speak to the receptionist because it's that bad my uncle died 4 months ago from a heart attack but the doctor said he was fine and he didn't want to be a nuisance my grany found him we had to move in with her because my uncle was her carer and we still haven't finished moving and we only lived up the road my mum has her own struggles and my auntie Glenn has had a fall this morning it's been a crap year
Thx you two
I agree with Edward and Aaron. If it's lifestyle changes, do what feels most comfortable. If you're facing full blown addictions, triage them. Put too much on yourself and you can feel overwhelmed and the changes can be quite jarring, leading your efforts to backlashing and having the opposite of the desired effect.
Love this reaction 5:55 ....
I think uve done snuff before but u should check out the corey taylor acoustic version so good won't regret
Not to air please n respect,
Thank you for something in needed times . Thought until gasoline, but very intuitive.,.
Their new song Bad Things.
Fuckin right, great(!) reaction
Took me a minute at the begining to realize it was Daz.
Please check out I prevails song hurricane!!!
You should totally react to Dethrone by Bad Omens
He choose fight instead of flight 🤘😎
Try Bow down, scars and bad things
I prevail - breaking down , its about mental healthy , very personal of the singer, not the screamer .
Another could be anxiety by B Mike...dont need to talk
🌻

Its nice to see a smart good looking woman listening to metal. There is a god lol metal gods thank you
Anthony J. Here. Forget the adventures and tacticaltony part i got
A huge win for overall mental health. The city of Philadelphia PA foxnew29 had a segment just now on mental health in the new school year and they have a huge mental health protcol going into place across the city. It's beautiful that the city nicknamed "The city of brotherly love" gas excessive newschool years plan for mental health. and setting up all kinds of mental health wellness centers and alot of mental health workers are on board. And they even said "its to help break the stigma of mental health" to many teens are dieing and Philly is 1000% trying to have more people reach out about their metal issues and lessen teen suicides. Philly is making huge steps in finding a solution for mental health. Have a Good one everybody. You rock.
As for me I and my mental health still homeless. Still 9years sober stilI alive but my mind is slipping further into darkness and though not skit-so-frantic I am hearing voices to give up or hurt myself so I am checking into a mental health retreat. I don't need educational counseling just need a break ya know. I'm Listening to some LP and TS. (Twisted sister) S.M.F for life play it loud mutha. Lol anyways I'll be back eventually. Love and best wishes Anthony J.
You need to react to IPrevail DOA ft Joyner Lucas
Check out I Prevail - Breaking Down 👻
Listen to neffex fight back and stay strong
isnt, technically, everyone a suicide survivor? if you think about it?
Should definitely check out Some Bring me the Horizon I'd suggest teardrops
First of all. What is a "suicide" survivor? How the hell do you survive that!?
You attempt and the attempt doesn't have the desired outcome.
Please react to breaking down or doa feat joyner lucas.
Greetings From Austria
Please react to infant annihilator
Am I Inside (Alice in Chains)
So... for the rest of your life you want to be a "suicide survivor"? Or will you eventually move on?
Many reactors have a perspective that they are coming from, such as vocal coach.
The majority of the songs I react to have mental health themes and the description is to give viewers the perspective I will be reacting from right away. The point of the channel is to shatter the mental health stigma through conversation and give people a place to share their experiences and feel support.
ruclips.net/video/6ZkI3ASz8Lg/видео.html here ya go ma'am!
Dare I say, now go get some sleep? ROFLMAO
Its good your expanding modern metal, which is usually crap, still waiting for Black Label Society!
Shit. This is hard to watch.
