So a theory as to why the board made those two transfers. You had a board takeover, and sometimes, as part of the takeover, they may have promised to sign some players as part of their campaign to take over the club.
Takeover is something I never thought of

I think the board signings may have been a result of a board takeover. I had a Man United save a couple years back, had a board takeover and they signed Pedri and Ronald Aurajo.
Was going to be my comment! Happened to me before, the new chairman/board make promises to fans that if they vote them in they’ll make big signings. I’ve seen it a couple of times. Doesn’t effect the budget you get either. It’s part of their takeover
Would love to see a Hull City rebuild. Trying to work with owner who wants Turkish/Turkish league players, would be interesting and could show some hidden gems in that league. Love the content, keep it up!

@Omega Dad yeah really good and I'm a Chelsea fan and Marseille is where Drogba learned his trade and what a beast of a striker he was for us through the years !! If there was ever a player in the Chelsea team who could show up and put on a show against the big teams with high stakes it was Drogba , I still remember that great header against Bayern and the thing is he left till the 89th or 90th minute to score, I literally jumped out of my seat and punched the air several times and my cousin who I was watching it with chose the to go the toilet 🤣😂 and then to win on penalties,with Drogba converting the penalty, oh the feelings man,and I also felt so bad for Swinestiger who missed the penalty, him being such a great player for them through the years in the heart of midfield!! Sorry this was long .

Hello omega love these series, do have a suggestion for another rebuild is, Portsmouth FC been in league one for many years, one the FA cup 2008 so have some Europe history, would love to go back to premier league once again! After many years of rubbish owners and nearly liquidation few years back and getting brought from our fans so this would be perfect for the rebuild series!
Would be good to see Anderlecht rebuilt and with a better stadium!! Or maybe Saint Gilles crazy recent story with Brighton chairman as their owner

This is a great rebuild, did a save on them once. My greatest achievement on FM23 so far is with Schalke 04, 2027 got them the bundesliga title, semi final of my favourite cup the dfb pokal and went out the champions league early due to PSG domination. My best players that season was Daniel James, Luka Jovic, Ouedraogo and Leo Ostigard. In love with that team

I'd like too see a rebuild of IFK Gothenburg, former European Cup Winners in the 80s. Or a rebuild of any club with Omega Dad as new owner, who tells how he wants the team to play and you trying to fulfill his expectations.

I think the transfers by the board could have been because of a takeover so i would check that
I'd wager you got a board takeover which bought Morato and Inacio as their marquee signing.. Possibly a takeover by a portugese consortium?
Otherwise, pretty fun to buy Beto, Toney as well as having Vitinha. They have really similar attributes and qualitites

Great video, today I saw something crazy on my Nottingham forest save and that was Chelsea got relegated. The save went crazy. Nearly all of their good players got bought. But for some reason Mason mount would rather championship football than europa league. I ended up with Mudryk and Madueke for a combined 80 Million however, so I can’t complain.
Those transfers could've happened if u got a takeover & the board brought new players. I had it happen managing west ham and the new owners brought gvardiol & luca netz

The reason you got less Total amount of points in the second season is because 4 teams het relegated in the first season and only 3 go up so you miss 6 possible points in season 2
