I actually made this whilst I was not feeling well mentally…I was struggling with something for almost a couple of weeks and I tried pulling all of my resources to help me navigate through it including going for a walk in the gardens to do some field recordings. At that time I had no idea what I was going to do with these beautiful sounds offered by Mother Nature. I am glad I did something with it in spite of how I felt and it felt good that something nice came out of it and is well received and appreciated by you. It is hard work to try to keep afloat some days…but I persist. Sometimes I shut down and heal like a wounded animal and that is ok. Other times I pull myself out of it. It seems like whenever I go back to nature, the healing starts. 🍃 I will try to remember.
Just watched your Plinky + Cosmos video (which was great!) and saw this one in my feed- saw happy I checked it out! This one is super great too! The best way to feel better is to let what’s inside out and that’s just you did with this piece of music- a wonderful action of presence. This is how you heal- 🙏🙌💥
@@AxelWerner yes I recorded the cicadas, birds and me stepping on crunchy leaves using Zoom recorder and then I recorded it into that wooden box on different tracks😁 Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you Flo, your sound-sculpting helps me to *slow down* and breathe into the drones...much needed! I haven't commented in a while but I've still been listening when I'm able :)
Thank you for a lovely piece. This is something I'm trying to dip a toe into (coming from a semi proficient guitar background). Can I ask about your set up here please? Not so much your pedals but your sources earlier in the chain. Thanks again x
@@michaelscully2975 thank you for the appreciation! I took field recordings using a Zoom H4N Pro and then I recorded the different sounds into the different tracks on the Critter and Guitari 5 moons (the little wooden box) and the white rectangle with coloured cables is a semi modular instrument by Modern Sounds Pluto…hope this helps!
@FloChai thanks for getting back to me. It was the 5 Moons that had me stumped. A really interesting looking little box! How do you find the workflow with it? I'm in the market for a multitrack but think i'm going to really boring and pick up a Zoom R12 (I've found one at a pretty decent price and although basic should be fine for what I want to use it for). I'm just waiting on delivery of a Lottie Canto Colour Palette and can't wait to get noodling.
@@michaelscully2975hey whatever works for you! 😊 the 5 moons because there is no labelling on it, I have to keep referring to the manual if I don’t use it for sometime. I love the zen design and form factor. It is small, portable and does not take up a lot of space on my desk. I am also on the waiting list for Lottie! Enjoy yours when you get it! Keep on creating!😊
lovely! I'm particularly impressed with how you've tamed and mellowed Pluto's high frequencies, which I usually find a bit harsh, is Ribbons helping with that or something else?
