to watch a Olympian cross over to barebow is awesome in my eyes i cared zero about archery till i seen my first barebow competition that was put on by Lancaster now i cant wait to get my gear together . a lot of the terminology you use like grip sear for example and forgiveness can you make a video explaining the absolute basic terminology and necessities needed to put arrows down range... maybe even a basic starter package that is needed by a newbie that has zero gear the accessories selection involved nock, string, plunger rest etc not so much on riser and limb selection... thanks so much for putting out these vids it helps alot and gives me confidence im not learning a bad habit or allowing someone to give me the wrong information... if you already have this video can someone link it to me
Your bow sounds really good! I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow barring extremely nightmarish weather! You helped inspire me to give Olympic recurve a try!
Hey Jake, great shooting. You mentioned aiming higher, any chance you could cover a bit on aiming at different heights at some stage... and also how your grip changes if at all when you're stringwalking... both have been a bit of a challenge for me recently particularly moving from split vision gap shooting to point on (with stringwalking). Thanks Mate... always learning!
Hey Jake you'll be out there with Demmer and Dillinger before you know it! I noticed you've been shooting your MX-10 Foam core limbs a lot for bare bow. I'm going to purchase either the foam or wood cores, but I'm not sure which one. The criteria for me with my upper senior age would be which is the smoothest. These will be for bare bow on a W&W Inno Max. Your comment/recommendation would be appreciated if you get a chance. Thanks Scott in Ca
Just shot first time at 50m today. Shooting 60lbs samick sage recurve . Wondering what weight you’re shooting in the video. As I feel I would be more accurate dropping to 50-55lbs giving me more draw time to settle. Great shooting, very nice consistent form on each shot 👍
Great content as always Jake! I appreciate the multiple camera angles of your shot cycle. Could you please list the specifications of your spotting scope and tripod. That looks to be a well made setup. Thank you and best wishes at the tournament!
@16:57 I've been using skateboard decking tape for a year or so (no damage to hand so far) but I cover whole flat lower aerea of grip. Any reason I should only cover a smaller area?
You mentioned pushing toward the target with your whole hand, as opposed to pushing down low in the grip. Is this for that particular grip, or something more general for bare bow? Thanks, great video.
O! The misery of early Spring in FLA!! 90 degrees F? Here in central England we peaked today at 12!! And my hands are slipping in the bow grip - not 'cuz they're sweaty, but 'cuz I'm old, It's cold and the skin on my hands is as dry as parchment and 10 times more brittle! :-)
What size Target face are you using at 50m? Do you shoot different size targets at different ranges? Or does it change from indoor to outdoor or from barebow to Olympic at specific distances
If you were strickly shooting 50 meters, wouldnt it be more beneficial to set your bow and arrows for a Point On at exactly 50 meters. Crawling can have slight inconsistencies as your using your thumb nail to pick a point and slide down the tab- thats hard to get perfect every time vs putting your index finger next to the nock.
What happened to rosin powder on slippery grips? PS Thanks for all the careful editing of your videos. Must take forever, but it means your videos waste no time. Much appreciated. Good luck on the weekend.
Man, I would love to aim the way you do! So far at 18 meters, I'm anchoring at my cheekbone so pretty much eye-level, I still can't figure out how to aim your way or other competing barebow archers usually do! Are you seeing between your riser and string? Where do you put the tip of the arrow? Great shooting anway!
@@JakeKaminskiArchery I was going to ask the same question and give an initial guess of 45! Yaaay. The reason I'd do that is I am shooting a 26 pound and I have to aim a loot higher for 50 meters.
I've decided that even though I've never met you, I really don't like you! Anyone who can shoot like that makes the rest of us look bad. I personally try not to hit the ten ring so others don't feel so bad. Just saying. :) Great shooting. Dr. Bob
HI jAKE, I WATCH YOUR CHANNEL FROM INDIA. I HAVE RECENTLY PICKED UP ARCHERY AS A HOBBY. I AM SHOOTING AN INDIAN WOODEN BOW TO START WITH USING BAMBOO ARROWS. BUT I WISH TO EVENTUALLY MOVE TO OLYMPIC TYPE RECURVE. BUT I AM CONFUSED WITH ALL THE OPTIONS AVAILABLE, COULD YOU PLS HELP ME PICK THE RIGHT BOW IN MY BUDGET?
these videos are so soothing to watch, amazing shooting as always Jake!
Nice shooting there Jake! Best of luck to you and Heather at your first 50m barebow competition.
Jake, your release is beautiful to see!
Nice video as always. It was great seeing the grip sear a little better from one of the camera angles. Also appreciate the different camera angles.

Like all the different camera angles for each end gives me a better understanding of your shot process.John, Derbyshire 🇬🇧
Thanks!
Thank you!
Great job Jake!
Once I get done turkey hunting I plan to rearrange my setup and try some 50m. I'm coming for you Kaminski!! 🤓

Decent choice on intro music
Jake's barebow shooting puts my Olympic to shame lol
I've never noticed that your property had a slope
i like the angle from behind you. it lets see the proper position of the shoulder blades. nice shots by the way .
I am gonna be there
Nice! Have a great shoot!

Impressive
Awesome grouping at 50 meters barebow. What riser and limbs are you using?

Since I am using a grip sear and cannot be super critical when I have a stationary hand I need to focus on the whole hand.

That’s my one and only goal for 2023.
I already have it measured.
Holding tight at 100 feet.
50 meters is 164. ? Feet.
I hate the metric system. 😡
Dear Jack, What arrow diameter are you using for the 50m shooting ? (ID in mm if possible )
You pull and hold your bow like it is a compound bow with 80% let off. What is your and Hanna's draw weights. Your bottle aiming method is also great.
Hi! Nice video!!! Is this the 650 gramm wheight form arctec on the lower bushing?
It’s a prototype I am working on
@@JakeKaminskiArchery cool thing 👍🏻
What is the draw weight on the bow?
What riser and limbs are you using.?
lets scoring together..😊😊🎯💪💪,
Try Grip Powder Chalk.
Im curious if there are actually Gator's at that range :D given the name.
Wow, not sure if it's the camera but I can see your draw arm vibrate ever so slightly at the elbow just before your release.

What kind of vanes is that?
how do you record your shooting with 2 cameras? I really want to do that.
Just set up with 2 and then I sync them on editing software on my computer.

I left it at home.
That top weight looks massive, what weight is it and does it fit through a 12.2cm ring doesn't look like it would
Both fit through, the bottom is tight but fits.
jake, what draw weight are you shooting here?
44# give or take.

I will be doing a "how to string walk" video here very shortly!
Damn that's good aim at that distance! what is draw weight on that bow?
Around 44-45#
