    Poblano is the name for the fresh green chilli.
    Dried, there are two versions of poblano.
    Ancho is full sized but still green and then dried.
    Mulato is allowed to fully ripen and change colour. Then it's dried.
    Pasilla is the dried Chilaca, which is the same species as the poblano, capsicum annum, but it's a different cultivar.
    The Chilaca/Pasilla is longer and thiner.
    It's very common to see Poblano incorrectly referred to as Pasilla.

    Organicville now makes a no-salt-added stone ground mustard. I like the flavor better than the Westbrae brand. My local Whole Foods carries it.
    Oh, and thanks for the tip on the bean distributor! I hadn't heard of that one. I recently tried Palouse Brand for the first time and have been very pleased. They also offer 25 pound bags, though not with nearly the variety the bean company you recommended offers.

    I love dried Eden Organics beans but have a hard time affording them! Thats what we are eating now but they have gone up in price and the shipping kills me! I usually buy 25lbs at a time.

    I noticed you didn’t mention Tinkyada brand rice pasta. None of the local stores carry the brands you showed, but they all do carry Tinkyada.

      I use Tinkyada for lasagna, but the other shapes don't hold as well as Jovial. They break up too easily when I cook them.

    Could you please explain again how fresh and then dried spicy peppers change names....
    I need to know again what fresh turns into dried, please. And Why is that necessary, except to confuse us?!

    • @bravoplantbased2163
      @bravoplantbased2163  2 года назад

      Hi Rosie, not sure who decided that fresh peppers would change names once dried. This probably started centuries ago. Think of a juicy plump red grape. Once it looses its color, juice content and soft texture, it becomes something completely different, and a raisin comes to life. So too, fresh peppers lose moisture and change colors and also their flavor changes. I think it’s necessary to name them something else because they become a completely different chili. Hope this answers your question.
