    Sorry its 22.50 for 5litres. Overall a good product that has the appearence of a thick "scene" foamy prewash. But does have strong cleaning and degreasing. I see it more as a trade product for neglected cars and commercial vehicles. Its no where near as caustic as truck wash. Problem with this trade TFR market is you can get 25 litres for this sort of price. But keeping it very simple I was pretty impressed.

    Thank you for the product review! Great to hear your feedback on the product. I think you were spot on with the main use for this product. We are bringing out a new pre wash this year that is going to be a lot 'safer'. We might even add a fragrance to Snowstorm now!

    I've just started using Maxi Mouse, and i think it's amazing! It actually cleans, unlike most snowfoams. It is strong, so maybe just use it every 5th wash if you're worried about the strength? Definitely good for winter use with all the grim. Brand snobs will put it down, but i think you have to give it a go.

    That insanely glossy E36 keeps giving me inspiration for going out to polish and wax Little Vicki, my Volkswagen Polo. She's not exotic by any stretch of the imagination, but she's very well put together and also richly finished in deep metallic Diamond Black, so the gloss should be the same, if never better. She is getting there, though.

    can't go wrong with this product at all...does what it says on the tin - if your car is heavily soiled ( like mine at the moment ) this is definitely a good shout...I wonder how well this would do the tyre walls and would it be better at shifting the ingrained dirt from the wheels so when you shine them up afterwards, would it look mint and look professionally cleaned? also, I'm guessing, pure guess, for the engine bay it would have to be cold and you'd use a detail brush to get into those hard to reach places and thoroughly rinse off?

    This looks like a fantastic TFR for self-employed valeters like ourselves who are always looking for good value, albeit high quality wash concentrates. The only thing preventing me pulling the trigger on this product, is the fact that it may be a bit too strong for some bare plastic surfaces and bright-coloured brake and suspension componentry. For example, we valet plenty of VAG rubbish in my garage, most come with black plastic alloy wheel nut covers. Would this TFR have the potential to make these black caps turn white, and darken the calipers?

    • @gingerphil

    Seems like a good product, use some caution and it'll be fine I'm sure.
    BH works great in my situation, I use ceramic coatings and dirt generally flys off. Personally, I don't really want to use an ultra strong precleaner as its just not needed for my conditions. During the summer months I'm using Touch-less at around 1% old formula with 20ml of Koch Chemie GSF for the fragrance mainly. That's a perfect amount of precleaner mix before Carpro Reset shampoo and a sachet of Touch-on once a month. I mainly use a rinseless wash 60% of the time now. P&S Absolute is my current favourite. I hear Gtechiq might have something in the pipeline, possibly for next year 🤗.
    Jon, as rinseless washes are becoming more popular, perhaps that might make for a good group test this summer maybe? Bilt Hamber if you're watching....a dedicated rinseless or Rinse-less (1st for namimg that one 😂) would be great 👍

I've a bit of a worry on some Car Chem first base pre wash, after it caused some damage to my diamond cut alloys, (brand new) I investigated as it said was safe to leave for 10 minutes neat and can be watered down to 10:1 the label shows a negative PH but no number but on the dial around PH 9-10 but when I measured it with litmus paper it's PH 14. How can a product with PH 14 not cause damage? it says safe on all paint and wheels.
    Could you explain in simple terms what we should be aiming for regarding PH levels on any paintwork and wheels please?

      Depends what's meant by better. The dirt simm is about degreasing mainly. So some of the caustic components in the tfr don't come into play. But normally the bh is the king of dirt simm killing. But yer it was not a massive shock really. This tfr takes no prisoner's it's strong but more trade tool.

    Just an observation Jon but I think the touchless dirt film looks noticeably thicker than the jennychem side which would impact the results if the thicker dirt layer on the outer edges of both is anything to go by? Might need to further test is but regardless, certainly looks potent the Jennychem.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  6 месяцев назад +1

      It's possible m8 that can have an impact. But as soon as the Jenny chemist hit it I could see instant emulsifying. I don't think here's anything surprising with results. This product is a caustic tfr versus a bio based pure surfactant. This tfr is really for very dirty commercial vehicles or poorly maintained beaters that have not been cleaned for a year. Its good but like I say I prefer a safer product and of course jennychem have those offerings too but I think Touch-less will be hard to beat in that field.

Also I am a huge fan of strong snow foams to prevent swirls but I think half their power comes from lubing the dirt and not just cleaning it off.
