John Cena tying Batista’s legs together around the ring post with duct tape in their last man standing match at extreme rules 2010 will always be fantastic
@@Shaun1993ful thanks and I’m a huge Cena guy so I’m probably biased but it’s definitely top 5 if not top 3. The Rey back up mask against Jericho was fantastic too & I watched IYO do the double handcuff and just kept saying that was genius.
WWE No Way Out 2005: Big Show chokeslamming JBL through the ring and him crawling out from underneath to escape the cage before Show does was very creative. I cant believe u left out Kurt Angle using his twin brother to trick the Undertaker at Survivor Series 2000.
Triple H vs. Stone Cold - No Way Out 2001 (Three Stages of Hell Match). The ending was unheard of back in the day; specially with Hunter going over, that was a shock and a half.
Eddie Guerrero tossing a chair to Mr. Kennedy as ref Charles was "getting back up"; then Eddie dropping to the mat rolling around holding his head 😂 Should be on this list...
Iyo is having one hell of a summer… hope she can get to at least 5 title defenses, can’t believe both Asuka and Belair were transitional champs, but tbh I think Asuka is more deadly chasing than being the champ. I just wish Asuka got a proper reign where WWE actually pushed her as the fore front… she felt like a 3rd wheel into the SS triple threat. Asuka title reign’s feels like big E’s from a few years ago, they were the champ for short time but never really felt as a champ in terms of the creative direction they got.
Best steel cage match? Stone cold vs Vince with big slow debuting and just setting the tone for his whole WWE career is the best for sure. Even with the Kurt angle moonsault
At first I thought Iyo cuffing the two was great, but then I realized Bayley and Becky could have easily just used their combined strength to knock the ladder over.
Mankind vs Shamrock at Judgment Day 98, where Mankind puts himself out with the Mandible Claw rather than tap to Shamrock. Also, the finish to Bret/Taker at SummerSlam 97 was a pretty creative way to get out of that one.
That wasn't a creative finish, that was just dumb. It's still a loss either way. What did it accomplish for Mankind when it lead to the same result either way.
@@RetroActivityGaming Says that Foley was so prideful about not giving up that he’d rather put himself down than to give Shamrock the satisfaction of saying he made Foley tap. It established that character trait for Foley (which would be relevant again by Rumble 99) and puts Shamrock over for even having him in that position in the first place.
Hart vs. Hart SummerSlam 1994. Should have gone on last. Both played exactly to the rules of victory, and told an amazing story. Rather tame by today's standards of "high risk spots," which I also enjoy, but everything made sense. Making it, in my opinion, the best cage match. Definitely a must watch for everyone Cage Rager, and in everyone's top 5.
During Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho best friends angle, there was a 5 man match with Braun, Rollins, & Reigns. Jericho took a stomp, and Kevin taking a Superman punch shortly after, ending with Kevin getting a pin fall over Y2J, Kevin then regains his consciousness realizing that he had pinned his best friend, and was like screw it I won, raise my hand! 😂 it was one of my favorite finishes.
We're just going to ignore Hulk vs Andre, February 1988, with the twin referees? Both for the impact it had at that time in ending Hogan's four-year reign and how unexpected it was with Earl working for Crockett, that needs to be here.
The finish to Tommy Dreamer and Edge at WWE vs ECW Head To Head. Dreamer getting speared while trying to power bomb Lita and ending up being pinned by her and Edge was very creative.
The time William Regal knocked Big Show out on his feet with brass knuckles, only for Show to stumble backwards, bounce off the ropes, then fall forward and collapse on top of Regal for the pin.
Sami Zayn beating AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy in a Ladder match. Sami used handcuffs to attach Jeff's ear to a ladder, but AJ cuffed Sami to himself before Sami could attach him to the ring. However, Sami had a backup plan as he had the keys to the handcuffs all along.
Regal vs Big Show. Regal punches big show with the brass knuckles, he gets knocked out, falls backwards onto the ropes then bounces off and lands on Regal for the 3
For me RR 94 is the best RR ending ever! That said, favorite cage match… ugh. I don’t like that game as much. If we’re talking about an actual “good” technical match I’d go with either Hart v. Hart @ SummerSlam 94 or Flair v Dusty Rhodes at the Great American Bash in 86, I want to say? As for the “best” as far as even though they weren’t all that great technically, for me I loved, my votes go to Hogan v. Mr. 1derful from the Jan. 3rd SNME, since that was the first steel cage match I ever saw, followed by the Hogan v. Bundy match from Mania II, since that was the second steel cage match I had scene. And before anybody says that the Mania match happened first, chronologically, this is true. However back in 1986/7 I was 6 or 7. Mom and Dad didn’t mind me staying awake to watch SNME once in awhile, just as they didn’t mind me renting wrestling video cassette tapes from our local video store. However, since at the time they weren’t all that “secure” financially so, because of that, they (understandably) weren’t big fans of paying for television shows. So, because of that, I saw the SNME match before the Mania II match. If my parents ever read this, which I doubt they will but still, I want to thank them for all the sacrifices they made so that that little boy of 6 or 7 could stay awake late on a Saturday to watch wrasslin and drink some coffee with his Dad, as well as allowing him to rent the Mania II video, for $5.00 or however much a double video cassette rental cost back then… as well as all the other really important sacrifices that have little to nothing to do with my love of wrestling! ❤️ TL;DR oh well, it’s a shame you’re too lazy to read a longer comment.
Al snow losing a match because head was his partner. How do you pin something that has no shoulders to pin? You mount head on a bottle of head and shoulders
These weren't nearly as "creative" as i thought they were going to be. Not that i can think of a better instance off the top of my head right now but i'm sure i could find some better entries throughout the incredibly long life of the WWE. 😅👍
Why not just say "of the 21st century" or something similar so not putting the most watched match in US wrestling TV history on it wouldn't be so glaring, considering it had one of the most creative and unexpected finishes ever? Look-alike referees, "how much for the plastic surgery, brother?", etc.
I remember on an episode of smackdown William regal hit big show with the brass knuckles and big show fell unconscious onto him for the pin while regal was flapping his legs. I thought it was quite comical
How isn’t the hogan vs andre twin referee match not on this list? Thank you what culture i will no longer watch your videos cause they are not legitimate. Just cause you hate hogan you leave the best finish in history off this list. You guys just lost all credibility with me!
John Cena tying Batista’s legs together around the ring post with duct tape in their last man standing match at extreme rules 2010 will always be fantastic
That should be no.1
@@Shaun1993ful thanks and I’m a huge Cena guy so I’m probably biased but it’s definitely top 5 if not top 3. The Rey back up mask against Jericho was fantastic too & I watched IYO do the double handcuff and just kept saying that was genius.
Or Cena using the ropes to win the submission match against big show.
WWE No Way Out 2005: Big Show chokeslamming JBL through the ring and him crawling out from underneath to escape the cage before Show does was very creative.

The Bret Hart vs. Undertaker match with Shawn Michael's as the special guest ref was a well executed and genius finish
I love that as well 🙂
I always enjoyed Kurt Angle swapping with his brother who was hidden under the ring at Survival Series (2000)
The Re-Run on SmackDown! In 2003 was dope too.
One of all time favorite is the pre taped Mankind “I quit.”
I was in tears of laughter when Iyo handcuffed Becky & Bayley together. One of the funniest finishes in a very long time. I loved it!
Triple H vs. Stone Cold - No Way Out 2001 (Three Stages of Hell Match). The ending was unheard of back in the day; specially with Hunter going over, that was a shock and a half.
Half time Heat, Foley using the forklift to pin The Rock down? That was the first one that came to mind for this list
mate same. and im so upset it wasnt on the list. i thought it was going to e after they put up rockys fake win, but alas no love for mick :(
The way the Rockers beat orient express at the rumble is my favorite finish ever.
Agreed, didn't expect anyone else to get that one...
Surprised Cena duct taping Batista around the ring post for a last man standing match didn't make the list
That was the first one on my mind too. But I guess Edge and Christian's finish was to similar and they were first to do it?
I think the Sami zayn Jeff hardy aj styles has a genius finish, making Sami look like a genius
Yeah, I was just thinking about that, too.
Eddie Guerrero tossing a chair to Mr. Kennedy as ref Charles was "getting back up"; then Eddie dropping to the mat rolling around holding his head 😂
Should be on this list...
His final match
My first thought was John Cena duct taping Batista’s legs so he couldn’t get up in their 2010 Last man standing match. That was a hilarious finish
The best handcuffing finish was Sami handcuffing AJ and Jeff Hardy's ear to a ladder.
The Rock putting the knucks in Ken Shamrock's trunks at the 1998 Royal Rumble is one of my favourites.
The Asuka finish at SummerSlam last week tops the NoC one already
Iyo is having one hell of a summer… hope she can get to at least 5 title defenses, can’t believe both Asuka and Belair were transitional champs, but tbh I think Asuka is more deadly chasing than being the champ. And break both of their arms in the process
Not really. And I’m pretty sure they both (storyline wise) would have thought it was worth that risk.
But then they'd have to work together, an in that moment selfishness thrived and it never crossed their minds to work together. (Kayfabe answer)
@@kevns2148 idk. I’d think one of them would have at least shook the ladder with their free arm
It is wrestling
Where’s HBK v. Bret Survivor Series ‘97? Obviously the most creative ending ever…
Mankind vs Shamrock at Judgment Day 98, where Mankind puts himself out with the Mandible Claw rather than tap to Shamrock.
Also, the finish to Bret/Taker at SummerSlam 97 was a pretty creative way to get out of that one.
And turn Shawn heel, which formed DX weeks later...
That wasn't a creative finish, that was just dumb. It's still a loss either way. What did it accomplish for Mankind when it lead to the same result either way.

Nice list. I couldn't agree more about this year's Money In The Bank finish.
Favourite cage match has to be Benoit v angle on a random raw with stone cold on commentary in I think 2001/02

Rey wearing another mask underneath the original because he knew Jericho would try and take it off is S tier babyface smarts.
Cena duct-taping Batista's legs to the ring post at Extreme Rules in the Last Man Standing Match.
@charlese.schott8355 True But that whas years later
@@killer6ten It's saying "In History". Time of match is pretty irrelevant.

@@GachaReact2024 yeah i agre a part two wont be bad
What about Kurt using his twin brother? Always was worth a chuckle
Y’all should go back and watch the 1989 tag team match of Legion of Doom vs The Rockers. Fantastic match with a very smart finish.
I’m hurt… no bye bye at the end 😭😂
Batista being taped to the turnbuckle by John Cena in a last man standing match was good.
The finish to Tommy Dreamer and Edge at WWE vs ECW Head To Head. Dreamer getting speared while trying to power bomb Lita and ending up being pinned by her and Edge was very creative.
You can tell E&C are best friends. You gotta love somebody for that spot. They prolly known Edge was gettin that poosh already! Amazing....🔥
But i mean Christian is tnt champ, see : his dinausor. And Edge. Well he blew Jusgment day..... so.....

How is seth Rollins cashing in at wm31 not on here? Also stone cold vs triple h no way out 01
In the G1 Climax a few years ago, Bad Luck Fale vs ZSJ. The ref counts 2, then flicks of Fale and disqualifies ZSJ
What about when Jeff Hardy had his ear handcuffed to a ladder?
You didn't put in HBK/Shelton Benjamin finish where HBK kicked Shelton mid-air from him flying off the top rope? OMG Really?!?!
Thank For the Top 10 Video 🙊🤯🥰😍😁💗💐🌟🥇🏆

Sami Zayn beating AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy in a Ladder match.
Sami used handcuffs to attach Jeff's ear to a ladder, but AJ cuffed Sami to himself before Sami could attach him to the ring. However, Sami had a backup plan as he had the keys to the handcuffs all along.
Regal vs Big Show. Regal punches big show with the brass knuckles, he gets knocked out, falls backwards onto the ropes then bounces off and lands on Regal for the 3
WWE needs creative finishes desperately
NOC and MITB 2023 were recent enough...
JBL getting avalanche chokeslammed through the ring in a cage match, and wins because he crawls out from under the ring
Always loved that, pretty sure there was barbed wire on top of the cage too to "keep him from getting out" lol
Cena taping Batista's feet in a last man standing match
I liked the old steel cage
