Goosebumps... Her singing voice are so angelic, so majestic and beautful
the way mumei plays with her voice without loosing key is just amazing to me, as a vocalist myself. she doesnt do anything technical like Irys but her simplicity and her "playing" her voice is just amazing. how do i explain it.... its like throwing her voice and then catching it perfectly at the right moment.... does that make sense? tldr, i love mumei's voice.

I remember listening to this on the day, in the background, and it took me by surprise. Her singing is really good, but this was such an unexpected and incredible one.
I think I could listen to this a hundred times and still feel the same.
Edit: Her voice and control just completely changed, combined with the emotional impact of the song itself... I really hope we hear more like this.
This has happened to me a few times now. Just be sitting here listening to her singing stream in the background, when suddenly a song like this will come on and I just complete stop what I'm doing and just listen in amazement.

yeah. in my "rank" of the best singers of hololive, i put mum in the 1st rank now(after her first or second singing stream. i forgor when).
along with AZKi, Ayame, Risu, Gura.
1. AZKi, Ayame, Risu, Gura, Mumei
2. Suisei, Moona, Watame, and maybe more
3. Okayu, Aqua, Ina, and maybe more
4. Kanata, Towa, Marine, Haato, and more
and about Calliope, shes on different rank. shes all about rap. number 1.
about suisei, i kinda confuse since shes below Ayame, AZKi, Risu. soo she need to be 1 rank below. 2nd rank. BUT the gap between her and the other 2nd rank is big. maybe rank 1.5? or maybe shes 2nd rank and Moona etc is 3rd?
about irys, i still dont know. 2nd rank mybe. or 3rd?
it;s hard to rank their singing quality. lots of members are in the same category/class.
that's why in my abstract n weird "rank" list thing, 1 rank can have some members
BUT it's like.. Suisei is like.. already so polished and experienced soo suisei looks like the top siger of hololive. Plus, Suisei's region is the beat up songs. it's easier to get popularity with beat up songs.
Ayame, Risu, and those rank1 in my list need more practice and experience. especially their long breathe control thing.
Mumei for example... she tends to use like jazz voice thing everytime she use her long voice breath thing.

BUT EVERYONE HAVE THEIR UNIQUENESS THO. Even Pekora, that not that great at singing, still have somekind of charm

This is beautiful for mumei lore wise because if you live for thousands of years going through different adventures, I can imagine she had a few friends or lovers who she had to see die because of her immortality. I can't imagine what mumei (lore wise) must be thinking when singing that, maybe a long lost relationship?

okay ive actually listened to it and it's even more amazing then I thought it would be, this song always invokes a lot of 'man, I wish I could go back' nostaliga for me, that bittersweet feeling of missing when things were simpler, this was a song that was played every year at school dances where I live and it always brings back the memory of standing off to the side with my friends watching the slow dances and not worrying about the world at large, because the world might be big and scary but in that moment the world was just hanging out with all my friends in the dark with only a few party lights keeping it from getting too dark. And this cover really embodies that feeling of 'I miss when things were simple and the world wasn't a scary place,' it's comforting but in a bittersweet way.

Every now and then you come across a song that just...hits you. I'm not a big vtuber watcher but this...this is magic. Her voice, the song...It hit me hard.

This song really fits Mumei's voice well.
Her voice reminds me of the tones of an acoustic guitar. Very gentle and measured almost angelic tone. Still rough around the edges as if occasionally sliding one's fingers from note to note slowly- yet encapsulating in every sound as if she were playing her own voice like the instrument itself. A bit more confidence and energy and i'm sure this would be almost flawless- even still it is absolutely beautiful and I would listen to it every day.

No, she doesn't have a guitar anymore, though she does know how to play a bit. The instrumental is just an acoustic version for karaoke. She does plan on getting a guitar again though, so it'll be interesting to see how she does with playing and singing at the same time once she gets it.
