Better is hp but that will be costly and slow to print. Benefit with hp is colors retaining on glossy paper for a long time. Brother colors fade away with time.

It blinds to show that it’s plugged in.. to turn it off you must keep pressing the power button for 4 seconds. Then plug it out safely.
Can Legal size documents be photocopied?
No. Glass area for photocopy is maximum upto a4 paper. No larger paper can be photocopied. But you can print legal size paper via wifi or laptop/ phone.

My printer is DCP-T820W and during initial set up i have filled only black ink and ink processing was done only for black ink and completed the initial setup. After initial setup only i have added clour ink . Now the printer is not printing colur. Can you pls tell how to solve this issue?
It’s better to call customer support to your address and let them do it for you as it may cause ink spillage. If not available , Reset the printer and perform initial setup again.

No issues at all.. just that the color printing fades away on glossy paper with time if not laminated or framed.

I have a problem doing the initial cleaning which is no. 4 in the setup guide. The buttons are not blinking like yours did. I know that no. 3 states to load A4 paper in the tray but at the moment I have only legal size paper. Do you think the paper size is important for this step?
I removed the legal size paper from the tray and adjusted the size of the tray to accomodate A4 and the buttons started blinking. I think the paper size which is A4 as provided in no. 3 must be observed.

Connect it to laptop and open printer settings via ip address. Perform deep nozzle cleaning and then print test paper. If still the problem persists , you should get your cartridge replaced by customer support.

Max upto 200 gsm. Switch to canon or hp if you need to regularly use beyond that.

Is duplex printing available? If auto duplex is not there... How do I print on both sides manually? Do I remove the paper tray after each page is printed and the turn the page to print on the second side?
auto duplex in not available but it's app support manual duplex and give you on screen instruction to reinsert alternate one sided printed pages all together. so half of ur pdf printed in one go and other half in second go. not that difficult once you learn it.

Hi. Just bought T420W. I loaded the black ink first and i've been printing successfully already, i did not put the colored ink yet. After a week, i loaded the color ink. But when i tried printing colored (even printer setting already "color"), font are still in black. Please help. Thank you
You need to perform set up all over again. While setting up a new printer it perform suction so that ink reaches from ink container to cartridge. Just giving printing command will not perform the setup suction procedure. Or you can contact the customer care. They will come to ur home free of any charges for setup procedure.

back side only one paper can be used. that too normal paper for photocopy purpose. glossy paper can't be used at back.

My yellow colour print ink is very fade, is it normal?
that depends on the shade of yellow your picture was having and also the resolution of your picture. have a good quality picture with deep yellow and it should print nicely.

when you open the app, just click on wifi on right bottom corner and select USB. and you can print with usb cable again.

Automatic duplex is not available but with computer or laptop you can give duplex command and then you have to manually re feed single side printed pages and it will print the other side.

This printer can not accept long size bond paper? We have one in our office but only A4 size. We cannot use Long size paper.
To use long paper you have to change the setting in the application from “a4” to “legal paper” and then open the paper tray and extend it manually and reinsert it.

When I put single paper from back side printing starts then printing stops after then paper jammed and then red 🔴 light blinked then a pop up message show in my laptop for trouble shooting so what to do
Proceed with the troubleshooting. If it occurs every time then you can try changing the quality of paper. Usually thick papers more then 15gsm cause this problem.
I can't print.. no printed letters in the letter. Just the bondpaper.
Use a laptop to give command. Arrange letters correctly in the paper tray in the specified letter area.

It worked well, but had one nuisance that drove me up the wall; if you didn't put it in high quality print mode you'd get a streak across the page. I'm happy to say I have yet to see this with this printer. The print quality has been fantastic so far, the set up was super easy. All in all I'm very happy with this printer.
It’s printing speed is better with laptop as compared to phone even in same quality resolution on both.
How to scan through it?
you can scan both via wifi and wired usb cable. you need to install its app on ur laptop or phone. and scanned image will be saved in ur laptop or phone.
